But what I did in Bloodbrick I is a great example of how not to play a Mafia game.

Just like Prohibition Mafia is a great example of how not to host a mafia game. :sceptic:

I should really stop hating on it, looking back it wasn't -that- bad.

I'd have to agree with HILEI, the Mafia School games are the best place to start if you want an introduction and definitely sign up for Sandy's if you can, it would be a most instructive experience.

Alopex has a basic guide to Mafia roles around here too. We should keep a link to that in the index. I'm sick of referencing it but not having a link... :sceptic:

It wasn't bad, and was still enjoyable, just needed a lot little tweaking.

Oh you'll be scum, don't you worry about that.

Yay! :wub_drool:

Oh Jesus, not this again... :hmpf:

It wasn't bad at all. Except that thing with the national guard. I 'd the national guard, they were the icing on the steamrolled cake of love we delivered to the clueless town.

I won't even mention the part about the unconversion that almost happened. Now that was crazy.

I still look back on that game fondly.

I think the whole conversation-thingy with Big Cam was ridiculous (suggested by Legois, not me). I think I should go back and read it again.

Oh, man, I just finish Werewolf Mafia, and now apparently I need to read Prohibition Mafia instead of Eurodina or Mystery Castle. The things I do to understand in-jokes around here!

2 words ... Witch Hunt. That's what you need to read. Seriously.

I've read that one over and over again, and it still puzzles me.:tongue:

Go read the Coming Darkness, it'll explain everything about Witch Hunt...

Read it already. It was hilarious! Especially the part where they shot up Hinckley's ugly grave.

No offense, Hinckley!

Ok, I'll try to explain it briefly.

Messages are carved into potatoes and thrown through windows. Hinck is a witch with an ugly grave that someone shot. Tinypies is evil. We won anyway. Except the ones who are dead. But there's no sense crying over every mistake ...

I think that covers it.

Tinypies is evil.

Say...I'd have to check the mafia index to be sure, but hasn't TPRU been Scum in every Mafia game he's played since hosting Witch hunt? If so...justice!

No, he was the only Townie in a game full of scum in Prison Riot! - that was poetic.

The Coming Darkness was awesome. A lot of players were really active, the clues made for lots of discussion in public instead of in private since PMs weren't allowed (and if you followed Yakuza, you know I don't like PMs  ), and players got to demonstrate knowledge of LEGO in the challenges.

And not just because I won.

Like Brickdoctor, I did really enjoy playing in The Coming Darkness. It doesn't get much of a mention because of it being a mafia/mystery hybrid but I felt that the short time we had each day really made people more active, and the clue cards made people feel like they could all contribute.

Well, I can't express how much that warms the cockles of my tiny heart  Honestly, it's great that you guys had a good time, and still look back fondly on that. I know some people considered it a trick, but I laid out as many bread crumbs as I could.

Here's looking forward to more exciting games in the future :sweet:
