Okay struggles and tries to cast a stunning spell but Diana disarms him. She finishes the duel with a shot to Turkoglu's torso and Hufflepuff collapses on the road. Diana levitates one of the scoops of ice cream on the ground and drops it, with a plop, on his unconscious face. Snickering, she walks away. Sorry, Oky, you'll have to avenge that ice cream by a rematch later. Don't forget to update your profiles.

Howard then blocks the last spell of the duel. Professor Flitwick Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Sorry ADHO, my streak had to end with somebody. Anyone else up for a duel?
Walter Kovacs Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I've got a new character who's itching for a duel. Don't have a photo yet, which is unfortunate (but the BL order is on the way!). Still, if the good Professor wants a duel, I'll take up that gauntlet. Anyone want to ADJ for us?

XimenaPaulina Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Ravenclaw Practitioner Philius Pylos versus Ravenclaw Student Walter Kovacs <No photo available for Walter Kovacs> Round 1 Philius Pylos | 5 __________________________Walter Kovacs | 5 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Low - 1 Low - 0 _____________________________________High - 1 Protego! - 0__________________________________Mid - 0 High - 0______________________________________Mid - 1 Low - 0______________________________________High - 1 Health: 1_________________________________Health: 5 The new Practitioner Philius Pylos welcomes newcomer and fellow Ravenclaw Walter Kovacs on a friendly sparring duel. Wanting to impress everybody, Walter begins the festivities with a low sweeping spell that surprises Philius and knocks him off the ground. The practitioner tries to retaliate with the same spell but the newcomer dodges the attack and in turn hits Philius on the body. Walter continues to be on the offensive, aiming another body shot but Philius blocks with a Protego this time. Philius attempts a high-arching headshot that the student anticipates and quickly counters with a body spell that slams the practitioner against the wall. Walter looks to put Philius on a deeper hole with a head shot that dizzies the practitioner, leaving all spectators with mouth agaped after witnessing the surprising dominating performance of the newcomer over the more experienced practitioner in the opening round. Well, what can I say, kudos to a near-perfect round from the newcomer Walter Kovacs against the extremely unlucky Philius Pylos. Will we see a miracle in the ensuing rounds? Send in your Round 2 DS when ready.

Okay begins the duel attempting to stun his opponent with a Stupefy but Ollivander quickly disarms him with an Expelliarmus. With the defenseless Hufflepuff losing his wand, Ollivander seizes the opportunity and hits Okay in the body. Even in pain, Okay manages to recover his wand and tries to hit Ollivander on the legs, however the Gryffindor cancels the attack with an Expecto Patronum. The diminutive Adept then catches the Turk off-guard with a low-sweeping spell, sending Okay sprawling to the floor. Even though he's grounded, the Hufflepuff Adept gathers his strength and strikes Ollivander with an Expelliarmus, the Gryffindor's Protego too weak to counter the spell. Ollivander takes the early lead but Okay manages to close the gap late in the first round. Who shall take the upperhand in this intense duel in the next round? Send in your Round 2 DS when ready.

XimenaPaulina Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) Ravenclaw Practitioner Philius Pylos versus Ravenclaw Student Walter Kovacs <No photo available for Walter Kovacs> Round 2 Philius Pylos | 1 __________________________Walter Kovacs | 5 Low - 0 _____________________________________Low - 0 Low - 0 _____________________________________High - 1 High - 0_____________________________________Mid - 1 Mid - 0______________________________________Mid - 0 Low - 0______________________________________High - 1 Health: 0___________________________________Health: 5 Looking to redeem himself after Ravenclaw newcomer Walter Kovacs humiliated him with a surprising dominant opening performance, Philius aggressively starts the second round with a spell cast targeting Walter's legs, but the student quickly counters with a similar low charm. With desperation written all over his face, the Practitioner once again targets his opponent's feet, only this time the student correctly predicts his rival's move, dodging the attack and unleashing a high-arching spell that hits and dizzies the practitioner. "That's enough," Philius uttered while catching his breath. "You have done well Walter, congratulations on your first duel victory." Walter helps his fellow Ravenclaw get up, proud of his great start as a wizard duelist. Winner: Walter Kovacs! Congratulations Walter on your impressive debut in Wizard Duel! There couldn't have been a more perfect duel than that. Just a bad game Prof, which leads me to ask, why didn't you use an ability considering you're now entitled to one since Philius is now a practitioner? Anyway, may you have better luck next time. You may now update your character profiles accordingly. Edited October 30, 2010 by KielDaMan
