CommanderFox Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Yea, still up for the duel, Fox. Yes, CM sounds like he's up for Adjudicating so We can send our DS's to him. And now, here are the results for Oky and CM's Duel! Wizard's Duel Round 1 Okay Turkoglu | 5------Vs.-----Frankfurt Flashburn | 5 Mid ~ 1 ---------------------------------------------High ~ 0 Expelliarmus! ~ 0 ------------------------------ Low ~ 0 Stupefy! ~ 0 ---------------------------------------Expelliarmus! ~ 0 High ~ 0 ------------------------------------------- Stupefy! ~ 1 Low ~ 1 ---------------------------------------------- Mid ~ 0 Health: 4---------------------------------- Health: 3 Okay gets straight to it, Aiming for his fellow Hufflepuff's head, Flashburn is thrown off his feet! In Flashburn's rage he aims for Okay's legs, but the Turk lazily deflects it with a powerful Expelliarmus knocking Frankfurt's wand from his fingertips and smashing him against the wall. Okay then fire's his signiture hex 'Stupefy', but Flashburn sensing this was coming quickly fire's his own Expelliarmus, canceling Okay's Stupefy and resulting in pretty Yellow and Black sparks (what a coincidence that these are the Hufflepuff colours)! ) Okay aims for Flashburns head but Flashburn quickly shouts STUPEFY! The Turk is blown off his feet, landing on the floor with a blood nose, he desperately aims for his adversaries legs, Flashburn aims for Okay's middle, but is knocked off his feet before he can finishing saying his spell. Send in your Round 2 DS's! What a round Oky! But maybe there will be a comeback in round 2 for CM? Im looking forward to seeing the results! CF Edited as CM told me, Expelliarmus only blocks unless it goes up against Protego which it defeats, so Edited the score Edited November 3, 2010 by CommanderFox

The diminutive practitioner starts the duel with a low spell that gets blocked by Johann's Protego. The Slytherin tries to counter with the same low spell but Philius dodges and hits Johann in the head with a dizzying spell. The Ravenclaw once again casts the same head spell but Johann correctly anticipates the move and retaliates with a body shot that slams Philius against the wall. Looking to seize the opportunity, Johann unleashes a powerful Crucio which the Philius deflects with a timely Protego. The Slytherin then tries to silence his opponent with a Silencio charm, but Philius' body shot proves to be more powerful and hits the Johann. After an intense opening round we see Ravenclaw Philius Pylos holding a slim lead over Johann. Let's find out who will gain the significant upperhand in the next round. Send in your Round 2 DS when ready. PS: I will be away for a day without internet connection so I might not be able to post the 2nd round results right away. Sorry for the delay, hope you understand. CorneliusMurdock Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Wizard Duel Round 1 Ollivander Dippet | 5------Vs.-----Carlos Peerce | 5 Low ~ 0 -------------------- Protego ~ 0 Expecto Patronum ~ 0 ----------------------- Crucio ~ 0 High ~ 1 ----------------------- Low ~ 0 Expelliarmus ~ 0 ------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Mid ~ 1 ----------------------- High ~ 0 Health: 5 --------------------- Health: 3 The Gryffindor, Ollivander Dippet, is the newest target of the Slytherin terror that is Carlos Peerce. Carlos tracks him down in Hogsmeade and tries to ambush him, but the Gryffindor has heard his approach and tries a preemptive strike. Carlos shields himself from the spell and casts Crucio on his opponent but it is blocked by Dippet's patronus.( Choose the form of your patronus and I'll put in next round. I be nice and not choose for you.) Ollivander then gets a high spell through Carlos' defenses. The Slytherin flies across the street and upsets a market stall. He rises from the pile of apples and tries to disarm Dippet but Ollivander tries the same thing and nothing happens. Ollivander pushes his advantage and gets another spell to hit Carlos. The apples around him turn to applesauce and he falls face first in it. Send for round 2 when ready.

The Slytherin continues to be the aggressor, firing a spell towards his opponent's legs but the Ravenclaw blocks the attack with a Protego. Philius tries to retaliate with a body shot that was countered by the same attack by Johann. Unfazed by his previous failed attempt, the diminutive Ravenclaw once again casts a spell that hits Johann's body this time. Even writhing in pain, the grounded practitioner tries to strike Philius on the feet but the Ravenclaw puts up a shield charm in time. The Ravenclaw practitioner keeps his precarious lead over the Slytherin after the second round, but the duel is still close and it's anybody's ballgame in the decisive round. Inexplicably both duelists start the decisive round with a pair of overly cautious defensive Protegos. Saving his "secret weapon" up to this moment, Philius finally uses his Stupefy attack that completely catches his opponent off-guard, dealing the Slytherin a crippling blow. Johann desperately tries to retaliate with a headshot, but Philius adeptly blocks with a shield charm. The Ravenclaw attempts to finally end the duel with a spell targeted towards Johann's body, only to be countered by the Slytherin's similar attack. Johann unleashes one last Crucio spell that feebly hits Philius, but having spent all of his remaining energy, the Slytherin falls to the ground unconscious, as the Ravenlclaw walks away victorious. Winner: Philius Pylos! Congratulations Professor Flitwick! Your late use of your Stupefy proved to be the winning point. Better luck next time Admiral Ron.
