CorneliusMurdock Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Wizard Duel Round 3 Johann Peterschmut | 1------Vs.-----Ollivander Dippet | 3 Expelliarmus ~ 0 ---------------------- Expecto Patronum ~ 0 Protego ~ 0 -----------------------Protego ~ 0 Crucio ~ 1 ----------------------- Sectum Sempra - Low ~ 0 Low ~ 0 ------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Mid ~ 0 ----------------------- Protego ~ 0 Health: 1 --------------------- Health: 2 Dippet once again summons his furry Patronus and it protects him from the disarming spell cast by his opponent. Then both combatants produce a shield charm. Te Slytherin then manages to sneak in a cruciatus curse. Ollivander breaks the spell and disarms Johann. Finding his wand once again, Peterschmut fires another spell but it is blocked by another of the Gryffindor's shield charms. Suddenly Mrs. Norris rounds the corner. Knowing that Filch can't be far behind, the two students make a mad dash for their respective common rooms, stopping for nothing until safe in bed once again. Congrats, CF! Round 2 was the decisive one this match and that one was all yours. Better luck next time Admriral. You're bound to win sometime. Update your profiles accordingly.

CommanderFox Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Hey Admiral Ron, some of the scores are wrong. Expecto Patronum just blocks an attack, does not cause any damage. Also my Expelliarmus disarms the low attack (blocks it), the low attack does not cause any damage. My low attack does not defeat Howards silencio (the silencio will just block it). So the end scores for round 1 are: Howard: 5________ Ollivander: 4 CF
XimenaPaulina Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Ron, I think you have some mistakes in the scoring. Expecto Patronum doesn't deal any damage since it's just a defensive spell that completely blocks any opponent's action. And Howard's last attack (low) should not have dealt any damage since he was disarmed with an Expelliarmus by Dippet. By my count the score should be tied at 4 HP apiece.

But doesn't my low attack just get blocked by Howards silencio? CF
XimenaPaulina Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 My low attack does not defeat Howards silencio (the silencio will just block it). Low attacks deal damage on Silencio. To summarize the basic attacks: Low > Mid > High Low, Mid, High > Silencio Silencio > Protego Protego blocks Low, Mid, High And remember this image:
Admiral Ron Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 OOPS! Sorry folks, I was doing this kinda late, (Finals in school too) I'll fix them shortly.

The first round was uneventful except for the refferee messing up several times. Now, Ollivander starts off the second round with a shot to Howard's torso, causing his bellybutton to sing in falsetto. He tries to follow up with a shot to his feet, but Howard quickly produces a shield charm. Howard pushes the attack and hits Ollivander in the stomach, causing HIS bellybutton to sing in a deep voice, starting a song with Howard's. Ollivander, angry over this catchy turn of events, decides to use Sectumsempra, causing Howard to be gashed open, and then quickly disarmed by Ollivander. Is this the end? Or can Howard pull out a victory? Send in Ds's when ready.

ADHO15 Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) Ollivander Dippet vs. Walter Kovacs Round 1: Ollivander Dippet | 5________________Walter Kovacs | 5 Expecto Patronum - 0_________________High - 0 Low - 1______________________________Mid - 0 Silencio - 0_________________________Expelliarmus - 0 Sectumsempra : Low - 2_______________Mid - 0 Expelliarmus - 0_____________________Crucio - 0 Health: 5____________________________Health: 2 The two duellists square up and bow to each other, before standing ready for the first to make his move. Walter starts straight away with a shot to Ollivander's head, but Dippet is quick to react and his Patronus dissolves the spell in mid-air. He tries again with a shot to the torso, but again Ollivander's spell comes out on top, knocking Kovacs' feet from under him. As Dippet sends out a Silencio, Walter's Expelliarmus pushes his opponent back this time. Dippet's Sectumsempra quickly slashes Kovac's legs, sending him to the ground once again, this time with bloody, cut knees. Filled with rage, he sends a Crucio at Ollivander, who merely blocks it and disarms Kovacs. Send in your Duel Sequences for Round 2. DS for round 1 sent!
