It’s the mortal archrivals Gryffindor vs. Slytherin in this duel of the Practitioners from both houses, as Ollivander Dippet tries to end the winning streak of Carlos Peerce, like he did to previously undefeated Ravenclaw Skylar Cisco. The newly appointed Slytherin practitioner starts the festivities with a spell directed towards his opponent’s legs, but Ollivander rightfully read Carlos’ move and casts a quick spell that hits the Slytherin in the head. After a cautious defensive stand with both practitioners cancelling each other’s Protegos, Carlos unleashes a powerful Crucio that Ollivander deflects with an Expelliarmus. Both duelists then casts spells towards each other’s body, sparks flying all over as the attacks cancel out. Trying to gain a significant advantage, the Gryffindor ducks low and points his wand towards Carlo, but the Slytherin immediately leaps and in mid-air throws a dizzying spell that hits Ollivander. Both duelists try to catch their breath as the next round of duel looms…

The intense opening round ends with both practitioners tied. Will Carlos keep his record unblemished? Or will Ollivander reign supreme again against his arch nemesis Slytherins?

The battle of the Hupplepuffs continues in the second round with Frankfurt unleashing a powerful spell that knocks the air-borne Okay onto the ground. Frankfurt looks to follow-up with a sweeping low spell but Okay quickly counters with a Protego. Not to be outdone, Okay directs his wand to his opponent's legs but Frankfurt does the same as both attacks cancel out. Okay then aims at Frankfurt's head only to be deflected by his rival's Protego. Sensing the frustration on Okay's face, Frankfurt attempts to strike from above, but he gravely miscalculates as Okay sees an opening and blasts a painful spell on his rival's torso, slamming Frankfurt onto the wall.

The exciting duel between the Hupplepuffs again end up tied after the second round. Will we see the same trend in the next round? (Sudden Death again Okay?) Or will someone emerge victorious after Round 3?

Send in your next DS when ready.

The end of the Battle of the Hupplepuffs draws to a near... Desperate for his first ever duel victory, Okay Turkoglu aggressively starts the decisive round with a furious spell towards his fellow Hupplepuff, Frankfurt tries to counter but he's too late as Okay's spell hits him leaving him dizzy for a few seconds. After an unexpected exchange of defensive Protegos from each side, Okay targets his opponent's legs but Frankfurt quickly leaps and casts a painful hex that hits his rival in the head. Okay tries to retaliate with a head-shot of his own, but Frankfurt sees an opening and strikes Okay in the body with a painful spell. The Turk attempts one last desperate attack with a spell towards Frankfurt's body, but his fellow Hupplepuff effectively counters with his own similar spell, sending sparks throughout the room. After the smoke has cleared, Frankfurt Flashburn is declared the victor!

Congratulations Cornelius! Just tough luck Oky (for the third straight time). It was a close duel throughout and was just decided in the last few sequences, it could have gone either way. Don't worry, there are still many duels to be won. You may now update your character profiles accordingly.

Yes, but if I want to be able to hold my own against Death Eaters and maybe even You Know Who himself, close is not good enough! :hmpf_bad: Perhaps I'll have better luck with the Ravenclaws, the Hufflepuff's usual rival. I challenge either Philius Pylos or Jin Chang to a duel!

The Slytherin practitioner looks to ride on his momentum from the previous round as he starts the second one with a spell directed towards his rival's body, but Ollivander is quick to block with a Protego. Not to be outdone, the Gryffindor goes on the offensive and performs a similar attack which Carlos effectively deflects. After two uneventful attacks from both sides, Ollivander attempts to strike his opponent in the head but Carlos unleashes a powerful Crucio spell that proves to be much stronger and hurls Ollivander to the ground. Seeing the Gryffindor slow to get back on his feet, Carlos immediately casts a head spell, however Ollivander recovers in time to counter with an Expelliarmus. Ollivander, wanting to draw even, tries to retaliate with a Silencio but gravely miscalculates and misses the Slytherin, as Carlos hits his archnemesis off his feet with a sweeping low spell.

The Slytherin practitioner has open up a significant advantage at the end of the second round. Will Carlos finally end the duel come next round? Or will Ollivander stage a comeback?

The wizards approach each other, wands drawn, deep in the castle. Jin Ching glares at his opponent, Diana Fabray, as she twists her wadn around her fingers. Jin puls his wand out a bit foolishly, and fires a jet of cyan flame into the air. Diana grins devilishly and screams 'CRUCIO!' Jin writhes on the floor, but he quickly scrabbles at his wand and fires another jet of fire at Diana. Her eyes widen, and she shoots a spell upwards. It bounces off the wall, off Jin's spell and hits her instead. She topples backward into the wall. Jin flourishes his wand, and a torch flies from a nearby bracket toward's Diana's chest. She ducks, and with a sweeping motion, a rope shoots out of her wand and brings Jin to the ground. He puls himself up using the wall, and manages to shout 'Protego!' just as Diana's orb of green acid splashes against it. He quickly cuts the ropes binding his feet, but even as he fires a spell at her feet, it is flicked away lazily with her wand, and with another, he is smacked in the head with a loose rock. He rubs his head and get up, prepared for another round.

I have to leave tomorrow for 4 days, but I'm gonna be here for another hour or 3.

(Sorry for all the edits, trying to set up the match-up correctly. )

The Battle of the archrivals Gryffindor Ollivander Dippet and Slytherin Carlos Peerce are drawing to a close… The Gryffindor, desperately wanting to make a furious comeback, wastes no time and attempts to hit Carlos on the body, but the Slytherin dodges the attack and counters with a low sweeping spell that throttles Ollivander to the ground. Sensing the imminent victory, Carlos unleashes a powerful Crucio that cancels Ollivander’s feeble counterspell and forcefully hits him in the body, sending Ollivander to the far side of the room. His fellow Gryffindors try to help Ollivander as Carlos walks away victorious…

Winner: Carlos Peerce!

Congratulations CallMePie! Wow, still undefeated, very impressive! Better luck next time Commander Fox, (though not that good since you’ll be facing another Slytherin soon). You may now update your character profiles accordingly.

Jin is disoriented after the blow to the head. Diana simple twirls her wand around her fingers again. It contined for nearly 10 seconds before a sudden movement causes a needle of ice to shoot of her wand. Jin yells 'PROTEGO!' and it shatters harmlessly. He aims his wand at Diana's heart, but before he can even begin to think of a spell, he is on the floor again, writhing in agony. Diana laughs as her wand is pointed down at him. She stops for a moment. He gets up to his feet, but his head is again hit, this time with large potion bottle sent flying forward by Diana. He stumbles, and disoriently mutters 'Protego...' for a spell that will never come. Diana did the same. Jin regains himself enough to send a tiny stone flying at Diana's head, but she holds it aloft in midair, mutters 'Engorgio', and now, with a soccer-ball sized rock, flings it at Jin's chest. He smashes into the opposite wall. Diana sweeps away, silently chuckling, as another student calls for the hospital wing, unaware of the duel that just took place.

Good duel, both of you. One spell can tilt the whole game.

It's the Battle of the 'other' archrivals, Hupplepuff versus Ravenclaw, Practitioner versus Student, Frankfurt Flashburn versus Jin Chang. The practitioner starts the duel with a high-arching spell that is quickly deflected by Jin's Protego. The Ravenclaw tries a similar attack but Frankfurt reads his move and immediately casts a spell on his opponent's body, slamming Jin against the wall. Seeing Jin slow to recover, the Hupplepuff unleashes a powerful Stupefy spell that stuns his rival. Wanting to end this duel early, Frankfurt casts a flurry of spells targeted towards the Ravenclaw but Jin gathers his strength to counter both attacks with his own.

The first round ends with the Hupplepuff practitioner unscathed and holding a commanding lead heading into the next round. Will Frankfurt end this duel quickly? Or will Jin come back and force a third round?
