Zerobricks Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 LDD Extended: Color Palette's lowest color row is going behind the taskbar. Probably a known thing, but still need to be reminded of imho. What is your screen resolution? Quote
Greol Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I'm not sure what cause it, but LDD dont displays an opened file. Does this happened to anyone before? Quote
Greol Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Not really... Can you share it? No need. Its just an empty area, with the model is not visible, nor that baseplate thingy that is defaultly there. But the camera controls are there. Quote
Zerobricks Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 This actualyl did happen to me, I had some sinatll problems and ever since if I open LDD i get a blank. I just drag a file in LDD and it opens it (cant be bothered to reinstall) Quote
Gnac Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 No need. Its just an empty area, with the model is not visible, nor that baseplate thingy that is defaultly there. But the camera controls are there. It could be a camera problem. I've had occasions where I've perfectly aligned the camera to take an overhead shot, saved the file, and re-opened it to discover what you have described. If you can upload the LXF here, I or somebody else can paste some new camera co-ordinates into the file so that you can see the model again. Quote
Zerobricks Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Camera saves position only if you save with a change. Just opening lxf changing position and saving wont save camera position, you have to change something. Quote

gedren_y Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I don't know if this has been reported, but the invisibility tool has changed so that separate parts of minifig torsos and legs are not recognized. It used to be possible to make only part of them invisible, now it makes the whole part invisible. I used this once to create an edge detail out of minifig legs, but that capability is now gone. Zerobricks Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) The suspension arm 5L's nose has missmatched geometry which sticks out too far out: Works fine IRL with a gap. Edited September 17, 2014 by Zblj Quote
SNIPE Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 The technic clutch ring that goes over an axle joiner allows for some parts to slide in which would never fit in real live Eg: a half bush Quote
Lego Otaku Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 The tap part 4599 seems to have geometry issues. It completely ignores any collision at the tip: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Lego-0taku/misc/broke_geometry.lxf Quote
Zerobricks Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 IMO its more diseirable for part to ignore collisions than have too many of them or in wrong places. Quote
Lyichir Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) The boundaries on 11302 are way out of whack. It's hard to describe, so see this image. As you can see, not even a Technic axle will occupy the module directly beside middle of the part, despite an obvious gap between 11302 and the axle. This seriously limits the usefulness of 11302 on LDD, since the flat edge it one of its primary features. Edited September 30, 2014 by Lyichir Quote

Lyichir Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Found another one, which shouldn't need an image (my screenshot tool hasn't worked properly in a while, making it harder to get good screenshots of errors). Standard 3.2mm clips SHOULD be able to clip to the back end of 50859 Motorcycle Frame 6M, but there's no connection point there. This connection is occasionally used to secure motorbikes when they're parked or loaded onto vehicles. Edited October 1, 2014 by Lyichir Quote
mzoli Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 After receiving both updates almost everything is working fine. I checked my previous error reports/investigations: - shock absorber 76537 is finally available again - space guns 86208 and 3959 are OK now, they can fit to the motorcycle frame 50859 (link) - rim 6582 geometry is OK now (link) - toggel joint 32126 still does not allow stud connection (link) - panels 87080 and 87086 still do not allow stud connection (link) Quote
obsidianheart Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) We don't seem to have a bug thread yet, so, I'll just tell you here that the Lightsaber Handles (64567 and 23306) no longer fit in 1x1 Plates w/ Upright Holders (2555, 12825. and 15712). Also, when I tried to re-open LDD to verify these numbers, I got the "Internet Connection Failed" message and had to run it in offline mode. EDIT: Sorry, I should have figured this was for new bugs, too. Anyway, it opens fine now? I dunno. Edited October 15, 2014 by Superkalle struck some text to avoid confusion Quote
JGW3000 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) Using brickset 1564.1, found two errors. With shock absorber part 76537, the two halves can be rotated independently, but move together, and also the overall length cannot be adjusted from within LDD, have not checked if editing the LXFML file works on this part yet. Also, "train motor 2006", 54754, does not connect correctly to IR receiver connection cord, but does connect correctly to a 2x2 plate Edited October 15, 2014 by JGW3000 Quote

Oh, nooo I hope we don't have to wait another 6 month to fix the fix. I'm wondering how this part was tested before the release... Cy_Bored1337 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Can someone tell the LDD Team to add Sleeved Torsos? Quote
ritztoys Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Fellow Builders, Are you guys running on the new update? I've removed the software three times, hoping that the new 'fix' has been loaded when I attempt to download the software again. I've been waiting for this 'fix' to materialize sometime very soon, I've plenty of building to do, but can't get this software to keep from crashing every time I try to open. Are there any links to the 'fixed' software, or do I need to be patient and try some other day? Quote
DOTM Shockwave Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) Part 11164 has a incorrectly sized collision box, and doesn't let parts: 11286, 11296, 11287, 11282, 11294, 11298, and 11288 to attach to part 11270 correctly. Plus part 11164 doesn't let part 87846 attach to the sizes of part 11270 like they do in set 44001. Edited October 15, 2014 by DOTM Shockwave Quote
