buddy Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Good looking Bobcat lightningtiger. I think that the bucket should be 6-wide instead of 8-wide, it would look better on the vehicle considering its size. Well done. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks for comment 'buddy', I agree the 8 wide is too much.....I'll order a 6 wide in black from Toy Corner. Update again when I have the new bucket fitted. Keep on digging ! Quote
marvinblue Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 That's a fantastic bobcat lightningtiger! That really looks the part. I would love to see it on a road plate for scale. If this is the result on a lazy hour or so, then definately I'm a conformist!!! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 Thanks 'marvinblue' for your kind words, I'll be ordering a 6 wide bucket and then completing the trailer plus attachments for this Slid Loader (yes, I got Skip wrong) .......keep on digging everyone ! Quote
block man Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 You know I wonder why Lego has not done one of these yet, it took just over an hour to build from scratch and to mark ONE year of being on Eurobricks I give you my green council Bobcat skid loader. Real one first.... Now mine.......... It is based on a true Bobcat, but some adjustments have been made for the sake of being Lego ! Comments very welcome and I'm a conformist! ! is it suposed to be long to sunbelt rentals?but i do like it. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 6, 2010 Author Posted November 6, 2010 Thanks for the comment 'block man', you may note that was my first build - the green is all but gone now it's white with the red backside like a real Bobcat which looks more genuine anyway shortly the attachments will be started so keep on watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 7, 2010 Author Posted November 7, 2010 I picked up the 6 wide bucket today..... Attachments next......comments welcome and keep on digging ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Need a trench dug ? Comments welcome and keep on digging ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Now here's some real trenchers to compare...... How does mine come up against these ? Keep on digging ! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Hmm I am starting to run out of things to say for such AWESOME work . I love this with the new trailer and the trecher adaption. Great work as always . Thanks, CB Edited November 8, 2010 by crabboy329 Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Thanks for the comments 'crabboy329' , I picked up green pieces to do the wheel arches on the trailer yesterday.....so I hope to be working on the trailer either today or tomorrow....so keep on watching ! Quote
greg3 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Excellent modification... that trench cutter looks spot on!!! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Sounds great, cant wait. I bet when you're done you will be a construction expert . This is turing out really well . Thanks, CB Edited November 8, 2010 by crabboy329 Quote
pacc Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Very realistic, Lego's creations are more of a relative scale, they had the dozer and minidigger recently. I were glad enough to just put a brickier engine and some bendable parts for a cabin, once you go 6-wide for this little fellow you need to accept the drumroller and harvester aswell (ok ok 6 vs 4 studs again) Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Thanks 'greg3' and 'crabboy329' for your kind comments. Right now I'm working on the cherry picker which will appear on it's own in Tools & Equipment and in the Service Truck pages being towed. I really hope to get a start on the trailer today......keep on watching ! Oops, sorry I missed your comments 'pacc'....thank you for them. Mmmm, a road roller.....yes, I'll do one ! Oh, crap....that means a low loader again....usually both a Bobcat and small roller travel together on a low loader between depot and job and back home again. Keep on rolling and digging and..... prateek Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Wow! This is awesome! I love all the attachments! What role does this vehicle play in your town? Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Wow! This is awesome! I love all the attachments! What role does this vehicle play in your town? Thanks 'prateek' for your kind words. Well it's purpose is two fold, road maintance and landscape maintance. The trencher is just wide enough to dig trenches to lay electrical cables and irragation/plumbing pipes. A back hoe would be needed for mains water and sewage pipes, dam, you Lego no updated back hoe bucket that is 3 wide, 6 wide is a little too much ! Keep on digging ! Quote
sens1992 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Once more Lightningtiger, great work here. I agree that LEGO should have one of these in the construction theme. Thanks to you, we now have one! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 Once more Lightningtiger, great work here. I agree that LEGO should have one of these in the construction theme. Thanks to you, we now have one! Thanks 'sens1992' for your very kind comments. I agree Lego missed the boat last time for one of these.....maybe they should team up with Bobcat themselves....since CAT is with MegaBull.... (fill the blanks) ! I might start on that trailer today or tomorrow, I will see how the day pans out. Keep on digging ! Quote
