Legostein Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Hello everybody! Having seen a nice Stargate MOC here in the forums recently, I realized that my Stargate collection had not had a single update this year. Fortunately a small model was already waiting to be photographed. Today I'd like to share my version of a F-302 Interceptor (internet reference image) of the Stargate Command with you. It appears in the original Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis TV series. The shape is not trivial, but I hope it turned out well. It features wedges wings which are also angled, as well as the little maneuvering wing tips orthogonal to the wings. It hasd a twin cockpit for both pilots and three engines out of which the center one is slightly bigger than the outer ones. >> Click here for instructions. << That's it for today. Thank you for your time and interest. See you around, yours Christopher. Quote
LuxorV Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Nicely done, Legostein I did not follow the Stargate series very much, but I really like the way you rendered that design. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Another nice-looking mini Legostein! I think you really captured the broad wedge wing design of the real ship using that 'airplane tail' piece. Good job as always! Quote
exon_from_youtube Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Dude I am, a huge fan of stargate...so much so I have sadly watch stargate universe for the whole season waiting for it to get good......... waiting..........waiting.......still waiting....... But seeing a model of the old shuttle....Wow....I almost blew a _____ (ya you get the point) I love it and well it is not lego mini fig size (make one please) but ya I love it and the detail even at that size is incredible..... Thank you for the pic... was incredible! If I could give you a thumb up rating, well I would need 3 thumbs... keep bricking and great job Quote
Legostein Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 Hello again, and thank you for the nice comments! It's great to particpiate in holding up the great variety in the SciFi forum. See you soon, ~ Christopher Quote
Leo-J Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I'm not familiar with the stargate ships, but cool reversed 'delta' wing configuration! Quote
Daedalus304 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Nice F-302, Legostein! What a clever design! It's a shame I don't have all the correct part colours or I think I'd give building it a shot, although I think I wouldn't mind buying the parts off bricklink someday. Why did you keep the engine ends without the dark grey, though? It seems that you probably could have included that without messing up the proportions. I guess it's a nitpicky thing, though. XD Quote
