Rawel Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Just got and assembled Uruk-Hai Army last Friday - my first LoTR set and my first Fleshy set! Woot! Hope your day is going well, Rawel. Quote
Captain Settle Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Went to toymaster and found some series 6 CMF's among the series 7 figures. I bought one and it turned out too be the highland battler. Quote
Deathleech Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I never posted what I got so here goes... 2x Battle for Helm's Deep 2x Mines of Moria 2x Attack on Weathetop 3x Orc Forge 9x Uruk-Hai Army 2x Shelob Attacks 2x Gandalf Arrives 4x CMF I got the Helm's Deep, Mines of Moria, and Weathertop sets all at Barnes and Noble when they had 10% off, plus coupons for an additional 15% off. One of the Helm's Deep I got for 40% off because I had the 10% off and a 30% coupon. Both Attack on Weathertop sets had the 25% off (10% + 15% coupon), plus they were marked at $49.99 instead of $59.99. All in all wasn't too bad, I ended up saving almost 200 bucks. I wish I would of got the Uruk-Hai Armies there as well and I could of saved another 50 or so.. all well, I'm not complaining Quote
Huntleyfx Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 The Uruk-Hai Army and a few CMFs for me (Guards and Bagpipers for my British company. On a side note, anyone have any ideas for what to do with 15 extra bagpipes?) Unfortunately my purchases are being watched over by a jealous girlfriend, so I need to be discreet. Quote
SheepEater Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) 9x Uruk-Hai Army Well, we'll know who to blame if Lego runs out of 9471s before christmas! Edited July 17, 2012 by SheepEater Quote
legomonk Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Just got a 7948 off ebay for cheap 21$ a supper nice find only need a couple more and I will have all of the kingdoms releases and doubles of some. Sadly 7946 and 7947 still escape me is it to much to get these sets with out paying an arm and a leg. Quote
Vindicare Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Bought 9476 Orc Forge yesterday. Debating getting 9474 Helms Deep or 9473 Mines of Moria or both with the 20% coupon. Quote
Hive Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Bought 9476 Orc Forge yesterday. Debating getting 9474 Helms Deep or 9473 Mines of Moria or both with the 20% coupon. If you have the cash, definately get Helm's Deep. I feel it's very special. Quote
Vindicare Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Well, I bought the last of the Lotr line(9473, 9474). What a pain it was... I had this 20% off coupon. Deathleech mentioned that they were cheaper online, so I told the TRU employee about that. They price matched, all was good. Then the computer wouldn't take the coupon because they price matched... . So I used the coupon on 9474 Helms Deep and used the price match for 9473 Mines of Moria. Quote
raminator Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Found 6062 on a garage sale last weekend. It is incomplete, used and some parts are damaged but it is worth the 7€ I payed for it. Edited July 19, 2012 by raminator Quote
Captain Settle Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Bought Shelob attack's from argos today. My first LOTR set and it does not disappoint. Quote
Leo604 Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Got Uruk-hai army a few weeks ago; for now, I think I'll wait for the new line of LOTR/Hobbit stuff to come out before spending any more big bucks. There's also all the Avengers sets I haven't touched yet. If I have some spending room, I'll probably just go with Gandalf Arrives or Shelob Attacks, just to spend conservatively. Quote
Greybrick Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Picked up 9469 Gandalf Arrives yesterday in the U.K. Hope to pick up more over the coming weeks Quote
Bram Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Finally got a version of Black Monarch's Castle 6085. All the pieces are in excellent chape, no dents/discoloring/broken parts. Great looking set. Quote
Brinstar Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Finally got a version of Black Monarch's Castle 6085. All the pieces are in excellent chape, no dents/discoloring/broken parts. Great looking set. Nice buy, I'd love to get that one to go with my 6086 Black Knights Castle. I haven't been able to find one in a sufficiently good condition for a price I'm willing to pay. I've just picked up a 7038 Troll Assault Wagon from bricklink. A nice inexpensive little set that will hopefully complement my troll warship and troll siege tower from 7037 tower raid very nicely. dwarf-brik Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I got 5x CMF Black Knights and 1x CMF Viking Woman in the mail yesterday! The boars head motif on the Black Knights is an obvious TLG shout-out to Monty Python fans. The Viking Woman would make an excellent Brunehilda, especially with her magnificent hairpiece. Quote

SO! jealous of you. That's my most wanted set from my childhood. Nice buy, I'd love to get that one to go with my 6086 Black Knights Castle. If you haven't gotten it yet, 7041 Troll Battle Wheel is a great set, the best of the troll inspired sets in my opinion. Quote

Along with the Trolls Mountain fortress its a set I'm very keen to get my hands on. It seems to be quite rare though, trying to find one at a reasonable price is proving problematic. Quote

It seems to be quite rare though, trying to find one at a reasonable price is proving problematic. With the lack of any 'Castle' stuff that isn't LOTR, finding ANY out-of-production sets for a reasonable price is rather problematic. Quote
SheepEater Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) Today the mailman brought me my 2nd ever non-LOTR castle set! (the 1st being 3739 Blacksmith Shop, bought 10 years ago when it came out) Edited July 31, 2012 by SheepEater Quote
Haltiamieli Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Went to get my bike repaired and in the mean time visited one of the local automarkets (though I had visited just yesterday to check for MF or LotR, still no luck ), and decided to buy my fourth Evil Knight. That ties it with the Elf as the CMF I have most of. Which, I suppose, tells that I'm not much of an army builder Quote
Duce Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 My latest one to arrive is the 7953 Jester kit, just waiting on a few more arrivals and the newest lego set is complete and I can begin working on completing the previous sets :) Quote
fuavarra Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I just bought 7189 Mill Village Raid for only 23,99 €. A shop near me offered it for 29,99 € and I had a coupon so I get it for this really nice price. Quote
