Brickdoctor Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 This is huge! All the features look great and the set looks very playable. I think there might be bit too much going on from a front-on view, but that's just me. I'm only beginning to see all the details in this. Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 This is one of you best builds yet, Tervlon! There's so much action features and excellent builds in this. I think you've gone a bit over-the-top with the figs (20 in one set? Indy in a non-licensed theme? Multi-tonal minifigures in a yellow theme?), but the build definetely makes up for that. My favourite bit is the light up treasure room, but I also love everything else in it. Well done, and good luck! Quote

I couch my excuse in the fact that the Death Star had 24 minfigs! I tried to stress that at the beginning. Indy is actually a decaled yellow head (allowed in the rules). So no mixing of fleshies and yellows. :) I just couldn't resist throwing my favorite hero in. Thanks for the kind words! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Bloody Hell! (I can say it, I'm british, I have a top hat and everything) That is a fantastic MOC right there. The features, the details, the everything! I especialy like the layering of earth and the scaffholding in places. Well Done Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted April 29, 2011 Eurobricks Emperor Posted April 29, 2011 Lots of details and great scenes all over this MOC! And it has such a nice Egyptian feel, I love it Quote
Gabe Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Stunning! I love the way it is tiered back into the hill and comes apart like a modular building. All the little traps are great too. So. many. traps... The camp site is great too. But what is that guy doing on the scaffolding with the hammer and chisel?? That's not Lego archaeology son, get some dynamite in there pronto! Best of luck in the comp - not that you'll need luck with this beauty! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 What a very highly-detailed entry Tervlon! Lots of amazing stuff going in the busy interiors, simply a fantastic build overall. Excellent work and best of luck in the contest! Quote
Decale Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 You did an awesome work here Tervlon! I love all the details and textures, there's a great variety of figs and it has a strong "raiders of the lost arch" feel. The modularity, allowing to access the tomb is a cool feature, I'd love to see this set for real. Good luck! Quote

Thanks for the kind words! You still do have a mixture of yellows and fleshies; the "natives" are made from flesh and dark flesh minifigure parts. Still, good MOC; I like all the action and detail.
