Artanis I Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I only just found the first series in stock somewhere yesterday (finally)... not ready for a 2nd quite yet! Quote
Lion King Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I would love to see something new about CMF - Studio Gihbil series! Seires would focus on main female characters from Howl’s Moving Castle, Spiririted Away, Castle in the Sky, etc etc. Quote

I still feel like the anime market is largely untapped by companies like Lego. There's rumors we are getting a One Piece theme next year, maybe they could do an anime themed CMF as well. Quote

Are you envisioning a selection of existing characters from various anime or something more archetypal? Quote

hikouki Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Pokemon! Sky's the limit with all the characters!!! My other collecting passion is model (commercial) airplanes. You would think that the only airline license to have a special Pokemon livery would be a Japanese airline, right? But there are actually several across Asia! ANA (Japan) has had a Pokemon livery on several of their planes since the '90s. Nowadays, several airlines across Asia have at least one plane: Skymark (Japan), China Airlines (Taiwan), T'Way (Korea), Garuda Indonesia (Indonesia), and Scoot (Singapore). https://flying-pikachu.com/en/pika_jet/ With that much following, Lego can't go wrong with that level of demand in Asia alone. And while on the topic of themed planes, EVA (Taiwan) has had several Sanrio jets! Perhaps Lego could also look into Hello Kitty! Quote

The big issue with Pokemon as a theme is that they’ve already got a contract with Megablocks, but then again, that was also supposed to be what prevented us from getting Star Trek sets and now *gestures at current rumors* The more specific issue of Pokemon as a CMF is that obviously you want several of your characters to come with smaller companion Pokemon. Simpsons, Loony Toons, and Muppets have proven that the budget can tackle each of the characters having a new larger mold with complex printing, but the issue is that you can probably count on one hand the number of molds made for those three series that aren’t new heads, which would make the budget tight for a Pokemon series – where most of the desirable characters would feature a companion Pokemon and new hair. You’d have to roll out the CMF alongside a new theme introduction like Harry Potter did and get similarly creative for which parts used what budget in order to get it to work. Quote

FinlayTheFaithful Posted January 13 Posted January 13 You know what, I don't really care about the hate they get anymore, will be a cheaper alternative compared to the speed champions ones anyway Quote

I like idea of Winter Holiday seriiiiieiiiis just like Halloweeen Seres 14! i’m still wishing for a proper snowman minifigure - not a man in snowman costume. Instead of using a pair of plain white legs, they should introduce a new “skirt” dome that torso can be attached to jjjjjsut liiiiiike Queen from Series 15 (or 16?). And there are so many that we havne’t gotten such as Father Christmas in green uniform, little boy with drum, kid with advent calendar (similiar to the actual City Advent Calendar set), a elf with reindeer fawn, etc. Or Saint Nicholas or Krampus ! JohnTPT17 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 For anyone still in doubt about F1 taking the next CMF slot, there are now images out of the complete box filled with them, which looks the exact same as a case of CMF minifigures. See y'all again when Spider-Verse rumors pick back up again... Quote

I think at this point noone is in doubt anymore, if there would be anything else coming, we would have heard about it - however to me it is still a strange choice to give it the place of the CMF, rather than making a series alongside like they did with Vidiyo. Anyways, not interested in that series, and neither in the Spiderman one, so in the end it is saved money. Last year we had three great series and in the end I spent way to much money on them. And it is not like there aren´t enough other Lego Sets on my list, so actually a bit happy about the CMFs. Quote

I never doubted it. It seemed obvious that F1 was going to be the May 2025 "CMF". Like Black Falcon, I wonder why they didn't just do it alongside a more proper CMF set, but alas. I still feel like I'd prefer four CMFs a year, given how popular they've begun AND situations like this where it seems like Lego wants to do more promotional stuff. Anyway. I wonder what we're getting next year... Edited January 26 by sylin Quote

Or if they did more minifigures per series, at least for some of them. There's absolutely no way a dozen minifigures would do justice for the Spider-Verse series, with all the cool minor or background characters in the movies they could include. I really hope they'd go for a higher number this time and they definitely should especially after replacing one of the series with this F1 crap. Quote

karrit Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Well I guess I'll just have to step up my search for Beastmasters & rely on whatever BAM figs they come out with for the rest of the year. I have zero interest in F1. Not into Spiderman either so unless there are some interesting normal humans in the series I won't be searching for any of those, I'll reserve judgement until we get pictures of the figs. Quote
