There are so many spooky minifigures we would want, such as two-headed mutant, zombie hockey player, ghost with candebra, female garagyole, grim reaper, female werewolf, zombie king, remake swamp monster, invisible man, alien costume boy and angel costuem girl Yeah agree on this. I’ve been ‘sorting’ my hoarded CMFs this week, and was so happy to rediscover Series 14’s Monsters - so many strong figures that still look great. And you’re right - it’s a theme they could easily tap again! Quote
Black Falcon Posted April 9 Posted April 9 1 hour ago, Lion King said: Agreed. I am little sick of waiting for minifigure every year… Plus, it looks like Lego is running out of ideas for Chinese New Year sets. If they were running out of ideas, they wouldn´t do 4 Sets fr end of the year ;) Quote

Maybe they will do one in a couple years when most moulds have been made! They have already so far made 7 animals, if you include that naked pig. LOL Not sure if they could redo the existing ones. 3 hours ago, Black Falcon said: If they were running out of ideas, they wouldn´t do 4 Sets fr end of the year ;) Ditto! They seem to have realized that they ought to make sets for several different categories like display/ decorative items, and minifig sets. Perhaps we will get a modular on one of these years. I feel that Chinese restaurant last year was somewhat of a blockbuster! Quote

Comes with zombie aniamls :) 15 hours ago, Black Falcon said: If they were running out of ideas, they wouldn´t do 4 Sets fr end of the year ;) I’monly talking about Chinew New Year CMF series here but i guess I agree with you that they should not do 4 sets per a year. I jsut feel that they run low on ideas. Quote

Jsut print some bones on its rib cages! Also - @hikouki suggested splat piece in different colors (dark red, magenta, pink red, etc). So I guess include those in spookyseires. Quote

I mean I think zombie animals would be cool for spooky series. But i still think roadkill animals are brutal. - i’m kinda conflicted. Quote
williejm Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Something I’d like to see at some point is a themed CMF series or two looking at historical figures. Could either be specific (eg a ‘Roman times’ series) or broader. Other themes don’t tend to touch such figures much - and many of the CMFs representing historic warriors, rulers etc seem popular Quote

Like a town crier, a horseman, a colonial lady (bonnet+hair), etc. We have Rocco Aristoratist in 2023. Quote

It could even be tied to a new theme like Romans vs Egyptians or something similar. The CMFs (and theme) could be called "Great Civilizations" and could include Romans, ancient Asian cultures, Native American tribes, Vikings, Mayans, Egyptians, etc. It would include cultures that existed before the Middle Ages. Nice - that would be a good way to make sure it was a diversity of figures, both in terms of gender & role Have also thought they could do something along the lines of ‘Myths and monsters’ - with a rolling focus: eg Greek mythology, Egyptian, Norse, Celtic, Native American … I’m aware these are generalisations, but you get the idea. I’m also not sure to what extent Japanese and Chinese audiences feel this is already ‘catered to’ by Monkie Kid & Ninjago themes. I’d say the only one they have touched on from elsewhere is the Vikings theme using mythical brick-built ‘monsters’ as the antagonists. 43 minutes ago, Lion King said: I ws it’ll wait for more minifigures in colonial-style clothes. I’d guess that these would be unlikely, certainly if it seemed to celebrate <European> colonisation of the Americas and/or global south. I’d wager there’s a good reason we haven’t really seen any pilgrims or pioneers (save Wiley Fusebot’s hat!) crop up in CMFs. Even things like the generic ‘explorer’ in pith helmet was very early on and long ago now. ( I think a town crier would and could work tho) Quote

I think a castle and pirates series would be the most likely themed series to happen in this direction and even for those the chances don´t seem that good right now. Quote
hikouki Posted April 13 Posted April 13 As for animal costume minifigs, it just occurred to me that majority of those left in the Chinese zodiac have not been made into any animal costume. Perhaps Lego will not make them for the regular series and save these designs for the CNY sets??? ...horse, goat, monkey, (rooster - new design?), dog, and (pig - new design as well???)... Quote
Lion King Posted April 13 Posted April 13 I always want to see Norse, Japanese, Roman-Greco, Celtic deities in CMF series. Quote
Black Falcon Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Not that I would be against those, but I would prefer warriors or common people of that time over deities. Quote
Lion King Posted April 13 Posted April 13 With the successful revival of dire wolf, I would love to see CMF series to come with a cave kid and a dire wolf puppy (not a recolored strand ard puppy). Quote
