After getting a dolphin in a CMF series, what other "big" animals would you expect to see in upcoming CMF waves?

A goat with a Farmer Girl?

A cow with a Milkmaid?

A baby elephant with a male zookeeper.

The goat won't happen because of its manufacturing complexity.

Is there some story behind that? We know they have a Goat tooling/mold . But only used it for one set Mill Village Raid. It would be real nice to see it again.

No story, just that I know enough about over-molding and printing to know that it would be cost prohibitive to sell the goat in a CMF.

I wonder what would be different about the goat versus the pig, skunk, or other similar animals.

Yeah I was gonna ask just this. Or the bulldog, or cobra, or seagull ... Maybe the goat we previously got was complex printing but the scope of what’s been in cmfs has changed a lot since it was released and the same mould could be used with simpler colouring quite easily.

Did the goat not have moveable pieces? I don't have one, so I dunno, but I thought they did.

No. It’s similar sized to the alsation / husky. Has eye printing and spots on the flanks in different colours, and I think the horns are a different colour dual mould. So that may be the complex bit.

As far as "regular" CMSs go, I know many would hope to see the next one (a.k.a. Series 19) be a less specialized, non-themed lineup; but still, wouldn't a Christmas themed series be kinda cool, much like how Series 14 was a Halloween/Monsters themed lineup? If so, would there be enough archetypes to fill sixteen slots? What archetypes could they be for that matter?

No, not really.  I don't care much for Christmas, and there would be little for me in the series.  Unless they did a Krampus, maybe.

Asking you this, perhaps the answer would be pretty obvious, but, what sort of themed "regular" series would you especially appreciate? :classic:

Christmas series... What minifigures could be in it? Normal Santa, Vacation Santa, Mrs. Claus, Vacation Mrs. Claus, two or three elves and vacation versions of them. Reindeer Suit Guy, Christmas Tree Suit Guy, Christmas Decoration Suit Girl, and maybe finally SNOWMAN. Or at least snowman suit guy.

Speaking of themed series - I'm waiting for something from Ancient Greece/Rome (mythological creatures, philosophers, warriors etc.).

Also, perhaps Carolers, Gingerbread Girl, Victorian Christmas archetypes (i.e. Scrooge), Nutcrackers, Female Holiday Elves... Those are at least a few other archetypes I could think of. :classic:

Well the obvious answer would be Castle themed, but I'd also appreciate a Pirates themed or Space themed series.  That said, I tend to prefer the non-themed series.

I'd probably buy at least some (or all) of a Christmas themed wave, but would prefer LEGO to just do a figure-heavy advent calender.

That would be one pricey advent calendar! *huh*

But hey, joking aside, what archetypes would you wish for from a Christmas themed series? :classic:

A Christmas theme could be widened to encompass ‘winter’ for broader scope...

Or it would actually justify the price of an advent calender, for once.

I am up for anything, really. A traditional depiction of Sinterklaas would be nice, and we are long overdue for a snowman minifigure. I'd echo the call for a Krampus, too.

This, too.

I don't want a theme based on a major religious holiday.

Agreed. And Lego should really think hard about this as they continue to branch out to new Asian markets.

Little Hindi/Islamic/Taoist/Jewish/Buddhist etc. girl to father: "Daddy, how come there are no Legos (sic) of our holidays?"
