pinto4402 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Hello Battletech fans, Here's a pic of a Bushwhacker model from MechWarrior 4. Click on the link below to see additional pics. Also, check out the Raijin and Fire Ant models which were recently posted. BrickMechs Quote
Algernon Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 What an accurate model! This is real eye candy for a former Mechwarrior fan like myself. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this. Keep up the good work! Why don't you do a Catapult or Uziel next? Quote
pinto4402 Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 I actually built a CB catapault model already. Click link below, then go to "Site Map." It lists all the models I have built so far (25+). I have been posting regularly (at least 1-3 models per week), so check back often. The Uziel is on my list, but waiting for parts. Pieces for the rounded shoulders are hard to find in the right colors. http://www.brickmechs.com Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Excellent MechWarrior MOC pinto4402! It's also nice to see the other similar cool-looking creations posted in that site. Great job! Quote
pinto4402 Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Very nice. Is a Daishi in your plans? Definitely. There's actually two versions of the Daishi. One from Mechwarrior 4 and another from Age of Destruction (a 100 ton monster that will bring my LEGO collection to its knees). Just waiting for funds to buy the necessary pieces for these builds. I just posted the Stalking Spider, if you're into quad-legged mechs. Eventually, I will have at least 150+ mechs posted. Also, I'm opening up a section on Battletech vehicles soon. If you're into Battletech, feel free to post suggestions and comments directly. My site's only been up and running for less than two months, so there's still a lot of work to do. BTW, not a MOC. The model was designed by Primus from www.brickcommander.com. He designs on MLCAD, and I'm working to build his computer designs with physical bricks. Quote
Crackseed Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 That is amazing work. I'm a direhard BattleTech/Mechwarrior fan and I've been pondering trying my hand at either an Unseen Marauder or the new Project Phoenix version. Still, love seeing LEGO Mechs! :D Quote
Zyniker Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 What a brilliant rendition. I once played th game MechCommander and have since been a great fan of Western style mechs, as the tend to look more like war machines and less like ballet dancers. Exactly how did you do the joints on the legs? I am very curious, as currently I have two mech MOC projects which suffer from severe leg problems. Quote
Blacktron Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I don't know any of the Mechwarrior games, but I really love all of your models. I'm very much into building Mechs and Exoforce MOCs right now and these designs are really inspiring. Fantastic job! Quote
pinto4402 Posted May 23, 2011 Author Posted May 23, 2011 What a brilliant rendition. I once played th game MechCommander and have since been a great fan of Western style mechs, as the tend to look more like war machines and less like ballet dancers. Exactly how did you do the joints on the legs? I am very curious, as currently I have two mech MOC projects which suffer from severe leg problems. The joints were 1x4 Technic bricks (with the holes on the side) connected with technic pins. The bricks "scissor" each other, but are stopped from doing so because the other bricks in the upper and lower leg portions keep them from coming together. The joints on the hips are the same. The ankle joints are friction hinges. That is amazing work. I'm a direhard BattleTech/Mechwarrior fan and I've been pondering trying my hand at either an Unseen Marauder or the new Project Phoenix version. Still, love seeing LEGO Mechs! :D I actually have a version of the Marauder IIC from AOD which I will be posting in one week. I have the unseen and PHX versions in the works as well. I just wanted to complete other Battletech models before going back to the different Marauder versions. Quote

I'm building a site just for Battletech and LEGO fans. I will get a forum page up and running in the future, but I have too many mechs to build first! Quote
