1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Just in time for my country's new tax policies. It's hard to be a Lego fan... Quote
Niku Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Really expecting with anticipation this series. And the color of the package is fine too. Quote
escortmad79 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 (edited) After reading the description of the "Sleepyhead," and wondering once again why it has adult legs, I think I figured it out. Sleepyhead may be LEGO's version of the Sandman. It's the only way I can think of that the long legs make sense. They used the long legs due to the size of the bear, with short legs the bear would be trailing. They could've made a smaller bear but he wouldn't have been able to hold its paw as it would be too small, making paws that are grippable would've made the bear awkward & massively out of proportion. Would've looked much better with the short legs. Edited December 3, 2011 by escortmad79 Quote
mo123567 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I'm completely OK with the standard legs on the sleepy head guy. It reminds me of a twenty something year old lazy bum who still lives with his parents. Quote
Captainmorgan Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I cannot wait for the Minotaur. When 6 and 7 come out I am getting all of them for sure! Quote
K-Nut Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 My mother says she needs a Teddy Bear figure because it looks just like me a few years back. I of course didn't sleep with a Teddy Bear. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I originally wanted multiples of the minotaur, but now I'm not so sure. I still want one for sure, but that highlander detailing is definitely better than expected. Hmm, who to army build of, that is the question. This series looks like the best so far (in my opinion). Brickmamba Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 similarly i was going multiple minotaur and legion but since series 7 been released i most likely be dropping the minotaur so my funds can cope with the space marine and black knight, it's going to be an expensive year... Quote
Dervish Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 2 full cases, that's all I'm gonna buy these, not more.. full cases that is, I'll the other 2 worth of individual bags.. hnnng.. gotta get them ALL.. I'm screwed.. Quote
GRogall Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 The series 6 Minifigures will be available on the 26th of December in Europe! Proof! Enjoy! :classic: Quote
GRogall Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) It still says 1 January though. Second page top left! Confirmed from my own brand store this morning! Although the German one says january first! Edited December 5, 2011 by grogall Quote
Wardancer Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) Does anyone know how big the delay usually is between a release in a lego store and regular stores? I hope the dot decodes will be quick, although I hope to get 6 centaurs and 3 lady libertys, all of which will be easy to feel. . Edited December 5, 2011 by Wardancer Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Let's hope the US stores get them then too. That means Toys"R"Us will have them in the next couple of weeks! Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) Arguably important: the leprechaun's pot of gold (re?)confirmed in that flier I think that was more to do with morality issues than trademarks. People often get upset when religious monuments and the like are used in fiction in a way that they seeto be offensive. I think the change was because the violence happening inside offended the group who made the complaints. Well I know I'm definitely gonna use Liberty in some bonkers fictional settings I'm gonna get a couple to swap out heads with scraggly guys and give em signs saying "we buy gold" or "$5 car wash" or "grand opening; free pencils" And I'm gonna sort out liberty, spaceman, gorilla suit, caveman, and cave girl for a li'l Planet of the Apes subtheme Edited December 5, 2011 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
tafkatb Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I'm still trying to figure out if the Clockwork Robot's wind-up key is a single neckpiece or an assembly with this part. Anyone know? Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I'm really hoping and suspecting the latter, but I don't think anybody knows yet unless someone picked up a leaked one Quote
Oky Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I'm still trying to figure out if the Clockwork Robot's wind-up key is a single neckpiece or an assembly with this part. Anyone know? They're two pieces. The key has a silvery color whereas the neck piece is regular gray. Also, you can see the key in different positions in other pictures. For example, it's straight on the picture on the packet, but it's turned a little on the bios pic. Quote

Oh, duh, I should have noticed that. That key is going to become a very popular piece for steampunk MOCs. Quote

Where I live, NW US, the Lego store usually gets them well after other stores like Toys R Us and Fred Meyer. However, each release seems to be different so it's difficult to say which part of the world/stores will get them first. I am always hoping Fred Meyer gets them because they always seem to have a bunch of them and I am surrounded by 5 or 6 locations. They also never seem to care how many I buy. mo123567 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I'm itching for Fred Meyer to get them. I'm in the Portland Area, you? Yeah, I'm in the Portland area too. I was just at Fred Meyer the other day and I couldn't help making a quick search for series 6 even though I know they probably won't be there for at least a couple of weeks. I'll post in this thread as soon as I find anything. Quote
