Zergos Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I went to my Walmart in a little town in B.C. called abbotsford, and I picked up 5. I got the minotaur, the bandit, the sleepyhead, the space girl, and the lepercaun. I'm happy cause I got the 4 that I wanted, but space girl was the 1 I didn't really want as much, hehe. Need to pick up more of these when they release series 7 it seems, they got me hooked. Quote
TheDarkness Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I just opened up the box I ordered Breakdown is as follows 4 x Flamenco Dancers 4 x Mechanic 4 x Classic Alien 5 x Bandit 5 x Minotaur 3 x Surgeon 3 x Butcher 3 x Lady Liberty 3 x Sleepyhead 4 x Leprachaun 3 x Genie 3 x Clockwork Robot 3 x Roman Soldier 4 x Intergalactic Girl 5 x Highland Battler 4 x Skater Girl I found with this box, the figures came in groups alot more. I would open multiples of the same figs one after another, I think I opened the four Flamenco dancers one after the other. I did get concerned when I still only had 1 Roman Soldier with two packs to go, but relieved that it sorted itself out and I came away with the regular 3 complete sets. My kids have been eyeing off the spares, my son really wanted the Classic Alien and was really happy I opened a fourth one from my third last pack which he could have! Quote
Amset-Rah Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I went to my local Walmart and was surprised that they had these guys. I felt around and got two Highlanders and one Sleepyhead. (I thought one of the Highlanders was the Space Girl but I was mistaken) That said I plan on giving the other Highlander a different head/hair piece so they aren't clones. . They were fully stocked and I'm definitely getting more next time I go. Quote
GeluNumber1 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) Well, went to TRU today, and they recieved two boxs. I felt around, and got three figures: Genie, Space Girl, and Mechanic. Y'know, despite what people say, Space Girl is pretty good. Edited February 11, 2012 by GeluNumber1 Quote
just2good Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 My nearest LEGO Store fully restocked their inventory of Series 6 figures. It took me a while, but I felt around the bags and found the Sleepyhead figure. I have to say, it's pretty well made. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 With my newest purchase, I now own half of the series. I'm still looking for that Roman, though. Quote
GeluNumber1 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Thank goodness for TRU sales. With the 2 for $5 CMs, I now have just four more minifigures to get. They are: Flamenco Dancer, Surgeon, Leprechaun, and Bandit. I may be heading back soon... Quote

I love the new hairpiece and teddy bear, not to mention all the printing on his arms and legs. The Highlander's my favorite so far, though that might change once I get the others. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Series completed today, and already up to 5 Highlanders. They look awesome if you have some extra long hair pieces to spare-- especially liked the Series 2 Popstar hair on the Highlander body. Also made myself a Clan leader with the Caveman hair from Series 1 and a brown cape. My Celtic army is well underway! Quote

The other one's good, but this one works a bit better. You can never have too many of those guys (Especially the swords, and they're being reused in Monster Fighters and LOTR! ) Quote

JackJonespaw Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Just got the final piece for series 6: Statue of Liberty. Since TRU was having a deal buy 2 for 5, I picked up an extra Roman, too. Does anyone know when the contest will start? Edited February 18, 2012 by JackJonespaw Quote
Sid Sidious Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I went to TRU today and they had four unopened boxes plus the mostly empty one on the floor. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) Have a question. I retired from collecting Collectable Minifigures during Series 3 because I had a hard time with the dot codes and the feel method. Well I came out of retirement with Series 6 because I had to get me some Romans. I thought that finding Romans using the dot code would be pretty easy since the dot pattern was pretty distinct. Here's something I encountered and results in me asking this question. I have already gotten about 16 Romans (all from a few different TRUs). I came across something that I realized. A couple of weeks ago, I found Series 6 at a Target and had a hard time identifying the packs since I had just started using the dot code. At that time the code that I thought was the Roman, had the slope block for either Lady Liberty or the Flamenco Dancer in the pack. So I didn't buy any packs because I was unsure of myself. Fast forward to today. Like I've said, I know the dot code for the Roman. I went into a different Target and they had Series 6 in. I quickly picked out three Romans based on the dots. Something didn't feel right so I felt the packages and again I felt the slope block for either Lady Liberty or the Flamenco Dancer. Has anyone else that uses the dot codes found that the code didn't work? The dot codes for both Lady Liberty and the Flamenco Dance are very different than the code for the Roman. Do the packs at Target use a different dot code? Edited February 19, 2012 by Sir_Basil_Ashton Quote

You'll become pretty good at it soon. Anyway, I completed my collection today, getting Surgeon and Flamenco Dancer. Quite happy! Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) Did a little experimenting with the Romans and Lego plumes: Of them all, I'd say far and away my favorite for the Roman is the three-pointed plume to the far right. I've decided to keep that for their commander and leave the other troops empty (I think there's three more offscreen). Also worth pointing out-- I'm typically hopelessly careful with pieces, especially the small ones, but I actually broke a beloved forestman's red single feather plume by putting it into the Roman's helmet. Thing just kinda caught funny-- be careful. Edited February 20, 2012 by Mr. Elijah Timms Quote
Amset-Rah Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I'd like to mention my feeling accuracy has gotten up, as I found an alien last time I went to Walmart, as well as another series 5 gangster and a small clown. (They still had 4 almost untouched boxes of series 5 figs and virtually no series 6 left except the alien) Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 So far I've picked a full set, extra Celt, 4 extra Butchers and 16 extra Romans. Can't go wrong with the feel method! Quote

BigHobbit Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 A friend and I have been using a combination of the feel method and the dots. We've been pretty successful using the feel method (just got most of the ones we wanted last week), but for some reason, we're still down a surgeon and a Minotaur for each of us after multiple attempts. Getting frustrated, as the series has been moving fast through the stores (especially with the Toys R Us 2 for $5 sale last week). I want my Minotaur! Quote

Well, part of the problem may have been that the dots have been randomized by Lego. They've found out our method. Grr... The dot codes are not randomized (or that would defeat the purpose of having them coded), but rather they dot patterns change with each batch, or every few batches. The batch numbers are found along the same area as the dots. Unless you know what the dot pattern is for the specific batch that you are looking at, the dot codes are unreliable. Quote
Piranha Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I just bought a highlander and robot as my first S6. Quote
