Does anyone know when Elphaba will come? I literally have a 500 gold saved up and it's the only time she never comes. :cry_sad:

On an expert class-related note, planning continues for the Quest that offers Marauder. I still have the intention of getting it finished before the end of the year.

On a side note, I'm postponing Baltarok 4/Vault Arc 3 until next year. It still needs a lot of work, and I want to make sure it's the best quest possible. My next quest is most likely going to be the Sheep Tribe/alien raiders quest, so you guys have that to look forward to. :grin::thumbup:

Also, it turns out Minstrel!Nerwen is quite different to Paladin!Nerwen. I know it's early yet, but I'd love to hear thoughts on that. Too much too soon or a change for the better? Boot it into the Lounge if needed...

Admittedly the change is a bit much for just a class change, but who says people can't change all on their own? Maybe tie it to recent events in Nerwen's life, perhaps the stress of exiling an emperor, saving two kingdoms and all of the events of Debts has finally gotten to her. Or maybe they've called for a change in her outlook. I don't know, but from a character perspective it seems like she's lost her marbles. :tongue:

I get that the reason why throwing weapons were removed from the Drafter's inventory was because too many classes use them, but it's a shame it doesn't make an exception for throwing cards...

Because throwing cards are Throwing Weapons.

I know that. I was wishing that it would be changed to throwing weapons excluded as a whole, with the exception of throwing cards, since it's based around a card game and all.

Of course, at the moment, I'm the only PC using throwing cards, but still...

But there is nothing in the weapons categories called cards. I understand what you're trying to get at, but that's not going to happen.

Nothing called cards, because its part of Lind's roleplaying, and he expects the game to suit his roleplaying, and not the other way around.

As the creator of the class, I see the point of throwing cards being included. But it has already been firmly decided by Sandy that throwing cards fall under the throwing weapon category and I side with his opinion on throwing weapons already being very extensively available to other classes. I've said it before and I'll say it again, adapt your character to the class, not the other way around, stretch your imagination and make the class work for you as opposed to asking for adjustments. In the end, you'll probably have a more unique character than you originally intended. :classic:

Throwing cards aren't some subclass of weapons. They are throwing weapons that you have roleplaying into being cards. They're still throwing weapons. Throwing knives, shurikens, throwing axes, they all fall under the category of throwing weapons.

If I have unintentionally crossed the line between "suggesting," and "whining," I heartily apologize. I try very hard not to cross it, but I know that I often dance around a bit on it, and I often accidentally cross it in doing so. Again, my apologies.

I fully respect that the game is the "other way around." The class has not yet been given out as an option, and I was suggesting my own adjustment to it. I should have made it back when the class was first being finalized, but I didn't.

I fully do intend to adapt Lind. I have a long term plan for him, and playing cards are only a facet of it. In the case that someone else ever took them up as a weapon, I was making the suggestion.

I'm sorry, players of Quest#120, but you will have to wait until tomorrow, because I simply ran out of time to post your quest up tonight (I have about 5 hours to sleep before I have to get up to go to work). Reorganizing those monstrous statistics of yours to my liking isn't a fast task... :tongue:

:laugh: It's all good. Is there anything in particular I can do to make mine more organized? (I do maintain a QM-friendly version of my stats, after all, so if I can make that any friendlier I'm all ears. :wink: )

Yeah, for sure. I also hope that cards won't be too expensive.

Maybe 1 gold-1 card, 5 gold-6 cards, 20 gold-25 cards or something thereabouts.

I can't see that happening. I'd like it to be a bit more like actual trading cards, you buy a pack of cards for say 25 gold and you get five cards, enough to play the game but enough for the packs to be random and actually rather luck based for balance reasons. Perhaps sell a booster set for a little more to ensure you get a decent card, or force the buyer to purchase a starter pack first so that they at least get a card with a seven or higher.

At least that's how I think it should go.
