I drove down from upstate New York to downstate New York, and the first night saw a friend who goes to school in Nashville. Outside I was comfortable in a light sweater, he had on a scarf, hat, and heavy winter coat. Crazy, subjectivity.

I was just looking in the marketplace to see what mead does (I figured it out), when I reali you could combine Bombs but not Potions. Why is this? It would be great to have, say, a MeadNostrum cocktail.

Balance. The current balance of effect consumables is that you can either drink the consumables early (and risk using them up on an extremely easy fight), or else you have to sacrifice a turn in battle in order to buff yourself. Being able to combine effect consumables would be akin to giving all Heroes a new skill far better than an Alchemist's Instant Items, and that would not be a good thing.

Hopefully that mini-puzzle's not too dreadfully obscure. Let me know if I need to give more hints.

Matthias wanders in and checks the quest board; boredom is evident on his face as he takes a seat at the bar. He wonders where everyone is... only 9 heroes are on mission, and yet the hall has been so quiet lately.

I think it's more than 9 heroes out. There's nine live quests and a fields party.

#105 Lord Lawerence Boomingham, Karie Alderflask-Cour, Jeaux Elmfyre, Em, Erdathcath Madilinas

#111 Leofwein Twynam, Lynne, Polly & Mr.Sanders

#113 Alexander Vandangant, William Harkenshire, Thalion Dwinlas, Siercon

#115 Vindsval Half-born, Zunde Xravia

#116 Althior Emorith, Benji Carvenhall, Hoke Ablesword

#117 Eric, John 'Hecks' Brutenhal, Throlar Wineghlim

#118 Ellaria Arbour, Hybros, Bartholomew Docken, Thormanil Nihai

#119 Annienal Anavir, Midrun, Warlen Melimane

#120 Arthur Justus Regulus VII, Atramor Gibbon, Skrall

FoG Lind Whisperer, Grimwald Gjinko, Darksten

32 in all.

But the lack of quests to sign up to leaves those in the hall quiet, I agree.

Hey, I'm already running two at once and participating in another, I don't think I could handle running another one.

Hahaha Matthias doesn't know all that; he really hasn't figured out how big Heroica is yet. With only the quests listed on the "Questboard," he's wondering.

But yeah, Flipz, only involved in three quests right now? Gotta get involved a little hahaha. :poke:

I still intend on getting the first Marauder quest out before the holidays. And it'll be a fairly large party.

For your sake, I hope 105 finally lets out first--Zepher is liable to punch something if he's forced to miss that class. :poke:

Let's not forget, planning for at least two more (though without building ability, I'm rather limited, so one of those is likely very, very far off).

Just the Monolith Mk II and the final confrontation is left.

And now that the craziness in my life is (hopefully) over, we'll hopefully be at The Regret by next Sunday.

Hooray for quests! Looking forward to eventually getting on a quest run by each of you.

Hmmm infinite enemies with no drops. Here is hoping being dragged down into the murky depths is a story element.

It can be, but there are three ways to end this fight.

Posted

The three ways I see it are

1. We die

2. We flee

3. We are dragged to the depths.

The room we flee to is locked, and our deaths solve nothing. Hoping to talk something gout at the moment.

 Well, that "one or two Rounds" sure turned into a lot more.

Legonater, shouldn't Hand Soldier have gotten a Free Hit on Thalion? It wouldn't have done any damage due to his defense, but it should still be noted.

See, your problem here is that no one's told you how Endgame enemies work. Basically, the process goes like this:

Step 1. Endgame character tells you what to do.

Step 2. You do it.

Step 3. They die. (Or, if Endgame doesn't want them dead yet, they inexplicably get away.)

Trying to jump the rails in between steps 1 and 2 only delays the inevitable. :poke:
