Asphalt Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Awesome, I can't wait For the next cup Quote
Sandy Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 All four cups are underway! You have been allotted into them alphabetically, and so have the NPCs I picked to participate. Plenty of familiar faces, aren't there? A tip to make things go smoothly: If you have been chosen to pick your card second on the first turn, you can already pick your next card at the same time, since you will in that case choose first on the second turn. After that, you can always choose two cards at a time until the last card, and I will do the same for the NPCs. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing... Quote
Endgame Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I love how Sorrow got paired up with Shaun. Quote
Asphalt Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I gather that all of the NPCs have appeared before. If that is the case, can anyone point me to a quest with my opponent "Theresa" in it? Quote
CMP Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I gather that all of the NPCs have appeared before. If that is the case, can anyone point me to a quest with my opponent "Theresa" in it? Most. I don't recognize James Panda or Jolly. Theresa first showed up in Quest 65 I think, and I believe most recently in Quest 85. Quote

Theresa first showed up in Quest 65 I think, and I believe most recently in Quest 85. Most have appeared before, but not all. Jolly is actually Elphaba's brother from Quest#100. He only made a brief appearance because the party decided to avoid the witches. Teresa on the other hand is actually WBD's NPC, originally from Quest#54. She's working for the Embassy. Quote
Khorne Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Go Victoria Vries and Mariel ! I recognize most NPCs and vaguely know where they're from, except Mumbasa. I guess he's from a Sandy Quest, but which one? I like the design of that figure . Quote

I will be away from my computer until tomorrow evening, so don't expect updates before then. Quote
Cutcobra Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Jolly is actually Elphaba's brother from Quest#100. He only made a brief appearance because the party decided to avoid the witches. So, if I beat Jolly would Elphaba still agree to sell me the book? Quote
Palathadric Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Mumbasa appeared as a guest at the Foundation Day Ball in Quest#66. For some reason I thought I recall him dying. Maybe I need to read it again. Awesome quest! Quote
Palathadric Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Oh no! Bobby is paired with the Lector! Quote

Flipz Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Am I the only one who's noticed several of my Flickr image links breaking and needing to be replaced? The images are still in my photostream, but the image links themselves seem to have changed. Quote
Flare Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Is anyone here planning on their character going to become Paragon in the near future? Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Is anyone here planning on their character going to become Paragon in the near future? If by "near future," you mean the generic "someday," then yes, Lind is going to become one, after Black Knight, Dragoon, and Rogue Thief. Quote

Myrddyn Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 (edited) Is anyone here planning on their character going to become Paragon in the near future? If you're wondering what you can sell from the evidence lock-up, I'd see if Docken/ Brickdoctor wants to buy the Cape of Extravagance. To my mind that's a better item than the Helm of Prestige anyway, especially for Docken's tank build, and he's less than 2 levels from mime, with a 3x XP amulet and a niche backwear item he'd probably be just as well off switching to for the occasional battle where it's any use. Flipz Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Yeah, Dodgy AND SP is fantastic for tankability. Dodgy alone is helpful, but it can put you at the mercy of the dice if you don't have the defense to back it up; alongside armor, though, it basically makes your health pool last about a third longer, since a third of the time whatever chip damage would have accrued will instead be diverted. I have to say, I am curious as to what battle style Docken will primarily use as a Mime. On the one hand, the Knight's style is the only one with the Deflected Damage roll (for that 1/6 chance to totally block damage), but Rogue gets gold on SHIELD and Clerics get Special Guard. BTW, the Paragon helmet is pretty good too, just not as much as the Mime cape. Quote
