Flipz Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I prefer the sure thing (stat boosts & enhancements) vs the mercy of the dice. That's what makes the cape so great compared to the other Dodgy - granting items--it's both. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 But dodgy isn't guaranteed, can still take damage. Blessed is auto +3 HP every round. Quote
Palathadric Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Yep, but 3 HP won't account for much when you're at Level 50. Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 But dodgy isn't guaranteed, can still take damage. Blessed is auto +3 HP every round. You're not relying on Dodgy to prevent all the damage, it's just helping you stretch your health pool farther. Blessed is great, and it synergizes well with Paragon (not to mention that the cape is Mime-only), but the cape is still great with a dedicated Mime-tank. Quote
JimBee Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I'd be interested in the Mime cape too, if Benji is looking to sell. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Quick question since I haven't really had time to follow quests: Is there any correlation between quests 115-118? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Who decided to make 'Dodge' and 'Dodgy' two different effects? I'm interested (now that I know 'Dodgy' isn't 'Dodge'), but I'm not sure I can outbid JimB... I have to say, I am curious as to what battle style Docken will primarily use as a Mime. On the one hand, the Knight's style is the only one with the Deflected Damage roll (for that 1/6 chance to totally block damage), but Rogue gets gold on SHIELD and Clerics get Special Guard. Rogue is the primary plan, using Knight or Cleric situationally. Quote

The proper name for the 'Dodgy' effect is 'Nimble' (the term Sandy uses on the Feather of Lithe consumable). Speaking of misnamed effects, on the Prophet robe, is that "Enlightened" supposed to be Transcended? There's two different definitions of that effect; the rules page and the Divine Cannonade define Transcended as "restores 1 Ether per Round", while the description in the Marketplace for Myrrh defines it as "doubles current and max Ether" (i.e. Mulled Wine for Ether). I propose that the second effect be called Enlightened instead. Quick question since I haven't really had time to follow quests: Is there any correlation between quests 115-118? LINK Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Item descriptions have been updated. Dodgy -> Nimble. Enlightened -> Transcended (+1 ether per round) Quote

UsernameMDM Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 So what should Hoke pick? Plan is Mystic Knight - Dragoon - Paragon Quote
Sandy Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 The Tournament Cups will not be updated today, because I got home later than I thought. I'll go through them tomorrow. Thanks for your patience! Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 So what should Hoke pick? Plan is Mystic Knight - Dragoon - Paragon The Helm of Prestige is the best out of what's remaining. Say, can anyone tell me who the South Tower belongs to? And where in the city is Tritech headquarters? (Or did I just answer my own question? ) Quote
Bricksandparts Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Umm... It doesn't seem to me (unless Sandy or someone else helping run the tournament was PMed) that players with more than 5 cards were actually forced to choose a hand. Atramor for example would then be even less likely to lose any of his cards, not counting the advantage he already has. Quote
Myrddyn Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Rogue is the primary plan, using Knight or Cleric situationally. Rogue has hide now, which means you won't absorb free hits if you roll miss. Watch out for that. Plus Barbarian might be sometimes useful to blind all enemies. Quote

RE:118--I spent most of yesterday and today re-balancing this fight and the next one, so hopefully this time it'll be a better balance than the last two fights. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Item descriptions have been updated. Dodgy -> Nimble. Enlightened -> Transcended (+1 ether per round) Okay that makes more sense. To add 10 ether from the artifact plus 15 from the Prophet class itself, the multiply that by two (10+15=25x2=50 Ether from basically one artifact). Add that to the amount of Ether I'll have gotten from leveling up multiplied by two and I'd be looking at 150 ether or so. Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 How much do you think I could get from selling my spellbound gloves in the hall? I'm being optimistic at 65 gold. (My plan is to sell them and buy magicians gloves when the quest I'm on is over). Quote

Plus Barbarian might be sometimes useful to blind all enemies. That's a good point. Though again, I plan to use Knight situationally as my main secondary class, and if I'm in a situation where I absolutely need to take a Free Hit, that's probably one in which I'm using Knight, not Rogue. If you can get someone to buy them off of you, I'd think 65 gold would be very fair. Quote

Flipz Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Muhuhahahaha! (Yes, I'm thoroughly enjoying the thought of Doc going up against his own creation in 118. ) Quote
Chromeknight Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 This is likely very off topic for this thread. If so, I apologise and won't protest if a mod squashes it.
