CMP Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I was speaking OoC because properly, Lind is still back at the library, and having him trot back and forth during that bit of RP just wouldn't be right... It's still not the place for OOC. Just shoot a PM or go there in-character. Quote
Endgame Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Any reason why Lind needs to be in the library, Lind, or can he write the letter elsewhere. That's just stuff you got to think about when RPing. Quote

The Library's a lot more quiet, more restful - an easier place to draft a resume. Edited August 28, 2015 by Lind Whisperer Quote

Well, I would have to think how the Eschaton people would think about that. Quote

Well, I would have to think how the Eschaton people would think about that. It'll probably end up being something half-way between a resume and a letter...Probably more letter than resume... Quote
Endgame Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Got it. Also, Flipz, well done making Terry the party leader. Quote
Flipz Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Gotta say, I'm loving these "you're guaranteed to kill this enemy this Round" rolls--really gives me a chance to work in some cool roleplay. Quote
Kintobor Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Sorry, apparently it didn't notify me you sent me something. Also, I'll have an update later tomorrow for my questees (technically today). I apologize for my somewhat sporadic posting, I've been having some busy patches recently and I've been away from my collection for a few days. We will continue with the quest shortly. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Sorry, apparently it didn't notify me you sent me something. Yeah, I've had that happen too - I almost lost Mafia School, solely because it didn't alert me that I'd been sent the deadboard link*. *Ergo I didn't participate in the deadboard chat, since I didn't know there was a deadboard chat. Dragonfire Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Flipz, do we have to wait 6 days before the Fields open? Once Karie has signed up, can we go straight away? Quote

Asphalt Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Qms sure are taking the uniqueness out of witch lately. Poison seems to have replaced enamored as the effect du jour. Edited August 30, 2015 by Asphalt Quote
Endgame Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Qms sure are taking the uniqueness out of witch lately. You mean with poison weapons? Quote
Asphalt Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Yeah you quoted me before I added that bit of clarification. Quote
Endgame Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Yeah you quoted me before I added that bit of clarification. I did it strictly so Jinnipher would stand a fighting chance in 138 as a balancing thing, but I can see how it seems to be a bit much.Although Vindsval has poison pretty central in his build, for some Witches, it's usually the Hex/Special Mirror that's most prominent, I find. Asphalt Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Since he went witch he has only rolled mirror once and it was deemed unusable, and hex once as well. Quote
Endgame Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Since he went witch he has only rolled mirror once and it was deemed unusable, and hex once as well. Seriously? How long has Vindsval been Witch? Quote
Asphalt Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) This is his second quest as a witch. So not very long, but still, I haven't gotten more than 1, 1 or 6 in that time. A 1 in your quest and a 6 against the sniper. Edited August 30, 2015 by Asphalt Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Witch is my absolute favorite class and Boris is definitely going to spend his time in it. Oddly enough, Cleric's feel like one of the easiest classes to transition to a multitude of Advanced classes aside from maybe knights, I can remember Nerwen seamlessly switching between quite a few advanced classes before she went minstrel. I kind of see what Asphalt is saying.Rat Club (WP:5, deals Afraid to Vermin-type enemies and Poison -3 to enemies of all types; club), 2x Scorpion (??? item), Ebony Scorpion Dagger (WP:5, deals poison -3; dagger), Crimson Scorpion Dagger (WP:5, deals poison -3; dagger) Three items that deal -3 poison in only the first battle of a quest(and several of the questees' first battle at all) seems a tad excessive*. *Yes, I did and probably will keep dropping items loaded with effects, but effects - especially Petrified - are comparatively rare, whereas poisoned items(if classes match) are usable instantly... Quote
Flipz Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 The Crimson Scorpion dagger is a typo--it's supposed to deal Cursed instead of Poisoned. I considered Bleeding for the Rat Club, but given that the enemy itself deals Poisoned it just made more sense. I decided to buff my weapon offerings this Quest after seeing how comparatively little my 104 group has been able to do with the weapons I gave them in their later Quests; additionally, there are other design reasons why Poison just makes the most sense, which you'll see in time. This is his second quest as a witch. So not very long, but still, I haven't gotten more than 1, 1 or 6 in that time. A 1 in your quest and a 6 against the sniper. Re-reading that bit with the Sniper, based on the reasoning that he wasn't able to mirror that Special, shouldn't that mean he should have mirrored the Sniper's alternate Special instead? I'm with Zepher's established position on Special Mirror: it may be a pain in the QM's rear, but it's unfair to make it not work for arbitrary reasons. The whole purpose of the roll is to keep QMs' crazy Specials in check, after all. Quote

Exactly, the greatest moment in Heroica's history in my mind will always be witch Atramor reflecting a bullet back into U'vires' face round 1 of the battle of Dastan! Quote
