Zepher Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) I did not mean it in a negative way at all (as in, I did not intend to accuse you of not accurately portraying France), I was just wondering what drew you to host so many of your quests there! Edited February 3, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Khorne Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Aaargh, I want to respond to the Boomingham/Guts conversation, but I can't right now . Sorry for Eric not replying right now, Zepher, but I'll write up an answer/post as soon as I'm able to . Quote

What it really was that the first one was in Charis, and I thought it turned out to be a decent storyline. Quote
Flare Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Preview for Quest 56 ahoy! --- Pwetty lights... Luminous Passage is by far one of my favorite places in all of Eubric, and I'm glad I could get to build it. This is not intended to cause any offense - but you didn't really build it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Psh, perhaps. But somewhere along the line, his upgrades and immunities are going to start getting costly, either from mechanical costs or people just refusing to sell to him except at exorbitant prices. Where's he gonna get all that extra gold? Get to Level 50 and Mime Rogue. Quote
Flare Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Get to Level 50 and Mime Rogue. Oh dear... And I'm helping you get the medal Quote

swils Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Get to Level 50 and Mime Rogue. Right, right. I forgot about that. Quote
Flipz Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Shhhhhh. Don't give it away. There is a second and third place for each category, maybe someone will go renegade on us. There are actually some other characters out there with some pretty nice builds. Hybros and his bladarang, Flipz and his scrolls, Guts and his consumables- all possible. Galen with his Wrench, Rubber Band, and Hide of the Wound--and take note that it's well-built enough that it would have worked with the old "two Artifacts per Hero, period" policy! Ugh to the Magician's AoE blocking. On the plus side, both Experts should be dead, since it DRAWS the extra attacks to them rather than just negating them; it's one of the ways that the Mystic Knights' and Battle Mages' SHIELD has an advantage over other Mage AC SHIELDs. Chromeknight Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 For all that I had an idea of where Nerwen was going, I don't anymore. Especially if I want to party up with a paladin. Flipz, you wrote a guide as to who plays well together didn't you? Got a short summary handy? Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Flare, quick, give sarge all Shields so he can get back in time for Quest#57 and 58! Plus, sarge needs Bonaparte reputation so that he can become a pirate Cannoneer! Argh! Edited February 3, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote
Flipz Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) For all that I had an idea of where Nerwen was going, I don't anymore. Especially if I want to party up with a paladin. Flipz, you wrote a guide as to who plays well together didn't you? Got a short summary handy? I did, I'll try digging it up later (though some things have changed since then), but for now: Witches: One of the more flexible classes. They do well when they can give and take many Effects; artifacts that grant immunity to elements and Effects suit them well, thanks to Special Mirror. Scrolls might be a good idea, depending on what you're facing. Druids: I think by now everyone knows what Druids are good for. Just make sure you have immunity to Sealed (Robe of the Archmagi offers that AND SP, so it's a good choice), and preferably have a bow on hand to take advantage of Back Row priveleges. Keep Nostrums on hand for emergencies. Paladins: Play as a Knight. Simple as that. Counterstrike Gloves are a must, as is true for any Knight-based class. Shamans: This one's a bit tricky. Barbarians sit in an odd niche where there's not a lot of gear aimed specifically at them (or at least, not really prominent gear--Haldor's Bear Claw Gloves are one of the few really interesting Barbarian items, and they're not exactly suited for optimization given their low WP compared to his other gear). SP is a good idea, as are weapon upgrades--you are the hardest-hitting of the Clerics, so WP and Mead are going to be your most common purchases. A lot of the more "Cleric-y" items will end up being less useful on Shamans, due to the shift in role. If you get a good weapon with an Effect on it, upgrade that sucker as much as you can. Sages: Hoo boy. Prevent Sealing at all costs. Your weapon is useless except as WP, so if you have an Effect weapon, sell it to a Hero and buy a generic weapon with better WP. Spellbound Gloves are a great idea, as is anything that can cause the Blessed-effect on healing. A strady supply of Tonics and Grand Tonics are a must. Sages are HARD to play in general unless you've been building toward them; however, an elementally-specialized Sage (i.e. focuses only on Water and Ice, or Water and Wood, or something to that effect) could be an interesting strategy. As for who plays well with Paladin: Shaman, Witch, possibly Sage. All three can cause damage from SHIELD rolls, which is a must for working with the offensively-challenged Paladins. For realz!? Woohoo!!! Read this Zeph. :) I need to talk Cronk out of those Twin Broadswords. I think those fit Hoke as a Mystic Knight. Quote

Brickington Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Can one be in two different quests at the same time? Quote
Scorpiox Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Can one be in two different quests at the same time? Nope, as that would be both illogical to allow and against the laws of physics. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Keep in mind, though, they totally negate use of a shield. Yeah. I would keep Vintul & my shield for when Hoke needs to tank. I really need some armor. Quote
Endgame Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 After you reach level 50, you get two caracters - so then, yes. Before that, no. Quote
Flipz Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Can one be in two different quests at the same time? No, but you CAN sign up for more than one. The QMs will talk things over and decide who gets to take which characters. Edited February 3, 2013 by Flipz Quote
JimBee Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 No, but you CAN sign up for more than one. The QMs will talk things over and decide who gets to take which characters. Sometimes, if they're nice... Other times, QMs will just take the characters they want if they close sign-ups first without discussing with other QMs. On another note, I would like to see that AC guide again, Flipz, if you can find it. I think a lot of people would find it useful, if only as a guideline. You don't have to use the same strategy for your class that would seem the most effective. Oftentimes the best strategies come from finding what works for your character in particular, not necessarily your class. Your items, experience, and roleplay choices all play a part in how you shape your character battle mechanic-wise, and I think figuring that out is one of the best parts of the game. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 If the Experts are KO'd, Zepher, I'd like to re-strategize this round. Quote

PsyKater Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 When I am at full health and equip an artifact with +1 Max HP, does this raise the current HP as well? i.e. am I at full health afterwards or am I missing one? Quote
CMP Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 You're always at perfect condition in the hall, but in Quest, you gain one extra current HP as well. Quote
Zepher Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 They are not. That was Flipz's opinion, not the way that the attack worked. I think you guys are doing well enough as it is, and you're about to add McColt to the party too . Quote
