Dannylonglegs Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) As I suspected, I was too busy today to make a Writeup today, and likely won't get a chance until Tuesday, but basically, The Quest'll deal with Economic intrigue between the Hinkwells and the residents of the nationalistic coastal city, Brendenton (changed from Sailor's Haven 30 years ago when Lord Brenden began exerting his influence on the City after its previous Lord's death.) in the Kingdom of Sundestia in the Low Kingdoms (the one who's working title was Autumn Kingdom). The Hinkwells are attempting to conduct business with the government and church of Ennoc (which holds substantial influence n the town), but there's a spanner in the works, and the resident Hinkwell, Dill Hinkwell, aware of the help his family has received in Eubric, calls upon the Heroes of Heroica to help him. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited March 4, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Edit: Ah, thank you Psykater for the correction. The statistics page needs to be updated I guess. Edited March 4, 2013 by Waterbrick Down Quote
PsyKater Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Hello LTPro and welcome to Heroica! To formally join, you'll need to go ahead and make sure you create a character and post their stats here, then just ensure to put a link to that post in your signature, and then you're on your way! If you're not sure how to make a character, go ahead and read the first post of this topic, and don't be afraid to ask any questions you might have. He already did. I know, because he signed up before me. Quote
herrJJ Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 It is 7 letters, its not like his name is Elliodynamussonionolodononon or something! But his name could be Eyjafjallajökull. Would at least be some more explanation for misspelling Quote
PsyKater Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 OOC: Don't I have 14 max health due to being level 4? Go back and read yourself: It's Base Health 10 + 1 per Level Up. You started at Level 1, now you are Level 4, that is 3 Level Up. 10+3 = 13. It would be much less confusing if the rules stated Base Health 9 + Level 4 = 13, but it is as it is Edit: Ah, thank you Psykater for the correction. The statistics page needs to be updated I guess. I think, Sandy updates the first page when the player posts first time in the Hall, introducing his character. Otherwise there would be much more Level 1 in the list, that never showed up in the Hall. I created an Excel sheet with all Heroes before I joined the fun... EDIT: Oh, and congrats to PsyKater on reaching Count! Ehh, oops. Quote

Scorpiox Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Excellent article there, Scubacarrot, pretty much sums up what I'd always thought of Ether. Quote

Endgame Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Have you guys thought about how much Dini's manor has been trashed - some thanks to you? He has had his front lawn ruined by tunneling, his foyer's pillars collapsed, at least 2 door busted and the staircase out of his basement shattered, his ether lab was set on fire and his grand hall has been ruined by all the fighting! Poor Howard, at least Ayla talked him into getting home insurance. Edited March 4, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Howard hopefully has some investors to assist him in rebuilding his house. And Sandy, I must say, I burst out laughing seeing what you did with the dormitory! Quote
Flare Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Too bad that there was no Most High Hero category in the Henrys, because Drake could've won easily Quote
Endgame Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Fun fact, the Dini Manor had a belltower meant for the fight with Eidolon since the beginning: Although, Dini has definitely remodeled it since then. Also, the 48 and 53 final battles are about to begin... side by side. Can't wait to see what lies behind those doors, Zepher. Edited March 6, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Zepher Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I won't give anything big away, but this is ONE of the few fights I tweaked since the start of the Quest... and guess which friendly evil QM inspired the change. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 "You know.." he sighs. "I grew up in this town" "You're gunna die in this town. Convenient." Snarked Sylph Solo. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Isn't that most of them? Though if I am thinking the same thing you are thinking, then... Also, whoops! I meant to put a in my previous post, not a Fixed. Quote
Flare Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Ok guys, I swear, the next newb in the hall that refers to a waiter or waitress I will hunt down and murder Quote
Flipz Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Ok guys, I swear, the next newb in the hall that refers to a waiter or waitress I will hunt down and murder Or Schezerade will do it herself. Seriously, though, I find it strange that people know about Byblos in the Library, but don't know about Schezerade at all. And how long has it been since anyone's tried to talk to Portia? If this keeps up, I may have to take drastic measures... *Prepares to PM Sandy with a devious plan...* Quote
Zepher Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I think some of it may be that Sandy used to address heroes more as those characters. The game has grown so large it is hard to do now, but if you read early posts Schezerade would interject from time to time, and shop keepers would make commentary on some of their patrons. They no longer do this, and understandably so, though I do miss it. Quote
