Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Honestly, Obsidian Dragon, not that tough. If we can take him down before 10 rounds are up. If not, everyone is dead but Althior and Docken. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Oh, I didn't notice the countdown goes down automatically by one each round, it''s pretty strong. Quote
Flipz Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Cinna could kill it without a scratch. Also, I was under the impression that that countdown only STARTS when someone rolls Special Damage. The odds are in their favor that they'll get at least ONE Round against it without a countdown looming over them... ...but just one. Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 But it says that the countdown automatically goes down once per two rounds. So even if we never rolled special damage, after 10 rounds we're burnt toast. Quote

And you are all hastened, encouraged, and some inspired and lucky as well. I reckon it will not be a problem. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I doubt you'll make it to it, except if you are really unlucky and roll a lot of special damage. 2200 health isn't that much. Mephisto from Quest 44 had over 3000, (larger party, but much weaker, and had a lot of allies as well) which only took seven rounds to defeat. Quote

Mwahaha, let us see. ;) The battle is winnable with some luck, but just one round of bad rolls will be detrimental to the party. Remember that the lucky-effect does not protect from damage, it only lowers the odds. Quote

Endgame Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 (edited) Speaking of Aquos and 48, really sorry I never ran a round yesterday, 48ers. I'm on break, so 2 rounds today, promise. Also, Scuba, Mephisto only had 1,300 HP... 2,300, if you count the rod. Also, Obsidian Dragon. Looks, in my mind, incredibly easy: Honestly, 60 damage for any of you is not that much, and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if you murder it before the first Omega Flare. Only Docken or Althior could sustain more than one of those hits without a heal. Quote
Endgame Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 There is only 1 enemy: you can heal away with only one person targeting the dragon. Also dagnabbit Flare, welp I'm dead. Quote

Masked Builder Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 So the Alchemist makes new items out of nothing? Quote
Endgame Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Gah, 48ers, not your best round... but you do have all of next round to reassemble yourselves, so yay? Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 So the Alchemist makes new items out of nothing? A reallife alchemist qould try to take easily available materials in order to turn them into other types of material, like gold. The alchemist class is not exactly the same, but still pretty cool in any case. Quote

-obelix- Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 So that's a yes? I like to think that alchemist carry spare raw materials (kind of like in Morrowind or other ES games) so that when needed they can turn them into useful potions or gold. That is, in addition to spare weapons and equipment like the rest of heroes... Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 So that's a yes? Are we talking about in game or in real-life..? Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Are we talking about in game or in real-life..? In-game of course. Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 In-game of course. Why of course? Alchemist doesn't actually turn anything into anything else. For example, on the '4' roll of alchemist they earn gold depending on how many items they have. But you don't lose anything in the earning of gold. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 It works the same way as ammunition. Here's a question: Can other people use the consumables an Alchemist created? Quote
