Not a good reason. I want awesome dragon development. I hope people that can go dragoon don´t do so lightly, and have a good idea of what direction they want to take it. Dragons are supposed to be (at least fairly) rare, so to raise one should be a special thing as well.

If Zeph will pair Vipera with Hoke, I will do everything in my power to go Dragoon.

Not to be an attention grabber, but any suggestions on how I can roleplay Hoke better. He just seems like an afterthought, it thought about at all. I think he is a solid, gimmick-less character, but I guess that isn't cutting it from a roleplaying standpoint.

My suggestion is not to just stuff the roleplaying in him - you're in the Fields anyway - but rather to have a less stoic reaction to what happens on Quests, or to at least make his voice on important decisions heard. Just because it can be an easy decision to make doesn't mean it has to be. Respond naturally to NPCs and other heroes and such. Hoke in the Hall is a pretty cool guy, he doesn't always have to be quietly efficient on a Quest.

Nope! Oh, wait, you meant other than Fleur's? (Although, to be fair, her goal is not suicide, but she really doesn't care if she dies. :look: )

That has been quite obvious for a while but you pulled it off well without making it seem cheesy. Good job. I do wonder though what would happen if we somehow save her life. Rather unlikely though, that is some nice loot she is holding.

She has too much to do. :sadnew: Perhaps when all my stories are done, but that's a long time to wait.

There'll probably be ONE chance at Shadeaux rep between now and then. I think you have time.

And hey, if Doc offers another shot at Skirmisher, Hoke could chill with the Lion Knights until Zeph is ready.

Actually, that's something I've been playing with in my head: having another player design "companions" that are part of class features. It wouldn't necessarily work ALL the time, if you've got a specific concept in mind you should go with it, but it might be an interesting way to shake things up and prevent "talking to yourself" syndrome. I know when Arthur goes Dragoon, I'll definitely want someone like Endgame or Pie or Zepher to create my dragon character, just for the added challenge.

Thanks, I'm glad it doesn't seem too cheesy. You could save her, but it'd be totally against her will. You'd probably have to bring her within an inch of her life and tie her up or something. Otherwise, she very well might jump/fall.

Wanna be the only Dragoon to start with a baby aerial Progg?

I can see it working... besides aesthetic they'd also design the personality, right?

Thanks for the net. But we do get to loot her even if she lives right? :look: If not then she's dead meat. :devil_laugh:

Ooh! You're welcome. Well, sure. But she's gotta be close to dead and totally trapped.

Yeah, but I need TWO reps with the Shadeaux and hopefully before Hoke hits level 40.

Just so everyone remembers, I'll say it again: My next quest will offer a chance at Shadeaux reputation if the heroes can find it, and there will be no opportunity for Lion Knight reputation/access to the Skirmisher. (Although I'm still interested in giving enough players access to it that we can get four or five Skirmishers together to steamroll stuff.)

If you want to get the most out of Dragoon and wait for Vipera to be your dragon that badly, you could always take a break and only go on quests with Shadeaux reputation.

To clarify, are you talking about a second player playing this companion player (like say, some other than CMP playing McAffery, or Zeph playing Barty or K-Nut playing Finnegan)? That'd actually be pretty interesting.

I would have if there were any up. How many Shadeaux quests have been hosted so far?

Only Quest 4 and Quest 43 advertised Shadeaux reputation in the Hall, I think.

If a counterstriking enemy is stunned, does the counterstike not damage the Hero? If so, does the Stun only last that round, or does it go on till the next too?

Stun only lasts for one enemy action, (Damage, Special Damage, Free Hit - they all cause the Stun to end) but a Stunned enemy breaking out of a Stun doesn't do anything else. So in that case, the Stun would end and the Counterstrike wouldn't Damage the hero.

Excellent, thanks! Now I know how to rule if such a lucky occurance happens. :sweet:

Skyrimguy... You should know by now, never give in to the QM's will!

@Unlimited Quest - if Scary Crow A was devoured, why is it still there and why did it give a free hit?

That was never my intention... :blush:I just wanted to know what would happen... :look: I wish it had... :sadnew: Then I'd feel less like a monster... :cry_sad: But I guess I am a monster... :sceptic: It's my job as QM...
