Dannylonglegs Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) Well I agree it was slightly anti climactic with the weak boss but realistically thinking (cause people do that....) the party just went up against a bunch of armed guards, sailors probably trained to fend off pirates, and lots of aquamancers. A pyromaniac with a torch should be no problem unless he learned martial arts or something. Exactly. I like realistic fights... Which is why Combat Pragmatist Fleur drank a Mead. I guess Constitution wasn't her dump stat either... Or she drank a mulled wine to celebrate her victory. Let's go with that. The Luck was something else though. (And Also, the sailors are specifically Sea Monster Hunters. They're only working Cargo because Fleur gave Quinton an offer he couldn't refuse (and he's the only captain who would sail in the storm).) ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 16, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Just realized that we could've just used Amorith's newtraliser to debuff Fleur. :wall: :wall: :wall: Quote

Flipz Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 The Luck was something else though. Speaking of which, did you roll the chance for that, or was that just auto-applied? Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Another perma lucky op item that any of us had a chance of getting our hands on.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Quote
Flipz Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Another perma lucky op item that any of us had a chance of getting our hands on.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Not quite. (DLL had asked my advice about it, so I know what it was going to be.) Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Not quite. (DLL had asked my advice about it, so I know what it was going to be.) No, that was auto applied. And only the luck occured, not the other thing. Since it's her item, I feel it would behave differently in the hands of someone else, making it less OP. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

Though either way we really should've used that newtraliser. Knock that encouraging off at least. Quote
Flipz Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I gotta say, when Dreyrugur said he wanted to find the Arsonist's body, I was half expecting him to do some sort of ritual to turn him into an undead for whatever reason. The reward posters never occurred to me. Woo, 1900th post in the thread! Quote

And the Luck. Everything has its place, and there's a place for everything. I still agree that I made the end battle very difficult (maybe even too difficult ), but I maintain it was winable. One of the Aquamancers even had a sealing scroll to deal with Fleur's evil special. I didn't expect my forshadowing element to come up like that either. Figures it'd be you to post it. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 16, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) OH, wait, did I say it was over? I've still got one more thing to post before y'all exit pursued by bears. Yes, it's that moment you've all been waiting for... Someone to say "Pleasure doing business with you." in a business themed quest. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 16, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Kintobor Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Well, I must say I'm pleased to see Fleur still alive. She was a fun villain, and with her in Eubric, the amount of money making scheme's she could get involved in is exciting! I'd love to see Fleur make a comeback! Not right now, but in a few months. Perhaps her funds ran dry? Also, anyone else notice all our main villains are female? Quote

Perhaps her funds ran dry? Also, anyone else notice all our main villains are female? Who's to say it's Fleur? You don't know for sure it's Fleur! But yes, now that Fleur's fate has been determined, I do have plans for a follow up Quest or two. And to be sure, 30,000 is enough to buy 3 ships apparantly. If anyone needs an ammoral business woman or mysterious financial backer who's unassociated to any of the houses, feel free to inquire... And also, she's not the type to wait for funds to run dry. She wants money. She wants status, and power. She wants everything this world's selling... 'Cause it's lonely at the top. Well there was that Haroka guy a while back.... And the Regret's male enough. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited May 16, 2013 by Dannylonglegs Quote
Zepher Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I think that there are so many powerful males in the Hall, the QMs want to introduce some powerful females to balance it out. But you have a good point... Donny, Haroka, Regret, Ulric, Steerpike - but then we have Baba, Fleur, Wren, Sorana.... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I think all my villains so far (none of them recurring, though, so they don't count as main villains) have been male. Also, I vote we make an exception to the rule and allow this Arena battle to be auto-rolled. Quote

Pyrovisionary Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) 64 is getting exciting! Although I'm slightly annoyed that I didn't get experience from that last battle. Edited May 16, 2013 by Skyrimguy Quote
Flipz Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Welp, that's finals! I still have a few day trips to campus to sort out records and paperwork, but now I can FINALLY get back to building my Quest. It doesn't look like I'll make my original deadline of the end of this month, but now that I'm able to dedicate more time to building, I'm sure I'll be able to make TONS of progress in a short amount of time. Endgame Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) Woah, Psykater, that is quite the breakdown! And the Regret's male enough. ...You do realize he jumpstarted an entire species, correct? He's probably better in bed then all of Heroica's rogue gallery. Edited May 16, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Brickdoctor Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I thought I saw something that looked an awful lot like a Blue Assassin, Wow, I forgot those even existed. Quote
Zepher Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 "You would be surprised. That man with the patch, for instance, was snooping through everyone in the hall's belongings. I wouldn't be surprised if he was looking through your items as well and you never noticed." No one likes a tattle tale. I'll update 68 again when there are a few more replies. Want to allow Tesni and Althior to get in a few words edge-wise. And yeah, I love the Blue Assassins. I reread Quest 4 more than most other quests, I think. They may be making an appearance elsewhere as well. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I just love Russel so much. He's amazing Needs his sword back though. Quote
