Peppermint_M Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Tesni grinned at the approaching fenarian pleased to see her again, "Long time no see cariad. We'll need to catch up once I finish this trade." She turned once more to Stigveladi. "150 gold sounds like a deal. The axe is yours." She was disappointed to hear the quest was called for others but others would come along. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Quest#85: Visions of an Unblinking Terror "Here are the people I have seen to be most capable in ending my nightmares. The path in front of you will be a hard one, and you must keep your focus or you will get lost. As for the party leader, I have chosen the one of you who has had the most experience with demons, having been consumed by one in the past." ~ Oracle Semiramis Azzurati ~Byblos, Level 30 Scholar (NPC) ~Atramor Gibbin, Level 30 Regulator (CallMePie) ~Nyx, Level 28 1/3 Battle Mage (Pandora) ~Bartholomew Docken, Level 32 1/4 Warden (Brickdoctor) ~Namyrra Uq, Level 33 1/4 Necromancer (Quarryman) *Party Leader* "[by Orang Pendek's fists! How am I to protect Byblos now? I suppose... hmm... it could work, but it's going to require all of my cunning and wits, and no small amount of luck... Orang Pendek, guide me!]" Placing his hats on his waste, Hoptet puffs out his chest, and boasts loudly to the Halls other patrons. "Ah! I see I on Quest! Much good!" CMP Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 "You're mistakin' the ape who can read for yourself," remarks Atramor idly from his nearby table, rolling his eyes. Quote
Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 While talking to the other ladies - something very new for Amma - she keeps on investigating the Hall. She can see an old hooded man with a huge cart full of things. "Hey Mister!", Stigveladi shouts, "May I have a look on that Wand you have in your cart? I am on a shopping spree right now, you could say." "Silence! I'm praying." I continue meditating and, at length. "...so, wand you say?" I reach for the Wand of Poking. "You may look, but not touch. Shopping spree you say, I could use some dwarven coin. Where do you hail from?" "Ah! I see I on Quest! Much good!" I blink uncomfortably as I notice a gorilla gesticulating and shouting wildly. "Good Lord, have the veterans finally snapped and turned this hall into a zoo?" Quote
Rumble Strike Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Tarn was disappointed that he had not been chosen, although he knew that with Atramor and Nyx on board, the Quest was likely to be successful. "Good luck my friends," he murmured to the Regulator and the Battle Mage. His gaze had been caught by a beautiful brown-haired woman. Sadly that oaf Johon was talking to her already. He strolled to the bar to get another drink, all casual, but trying to catch the stranger's eye. Edited October 6, 2013 by Rumble Strike Quote
K-Nut Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Althior finds himself staring at the quest board. He rolls his eyes seeing his not getting picked. He puts his name under the Unlimited Quest once more, figuring he has time to kill. He walks up the stairs to the bar and sits down. He pulls out his old wand, Dragoro. It had served him well, but it was time to seek a replacement, be it another wand or a simple sum of gold. His eyes wander over to another table. His eyes are caught on the satchel of what looked like a monk. He sees a wand sticking out of the bag, and starts to, intently, look at it. He figures it is much stronger than his current wand, and goes over to the monk. "Hello, my good sir," He sits down with the monk, not looking to see who else is around. "I am interested in that wand you have there. Would you be, perhaps, interested in a trade?" He sets down a bag full of 100 gold and his two Phoenix Incenses. "I believe this would be a reasonable deal. What do you say?" He smiles, attempting to be friendly. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Alexis enters the hall after a long stay in the Fields. Sadly her outfit had been ruined, so she'd had to get a new one. Hopefully the tailor could fix the old one... She heads up the bar, grabs a drink, and takes a seat. Trying to ignore everyone else in the hall. Quote
Endgame Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I wave down Alexis, motioning for her to come by. Mentally I cringe at the new outfit. "Hello, Alexis!" Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Alexis turns when she hears her name and sees it's Sorrow calling her. She heads over. "Oh hello Sorrow, good to see you. I must say that the fan you sold me served us well in the fields." Quote
Endgame Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 "Probably better suited to you then to me." I lift up the bow I traded it for, the weapon augmented beyond recognition - it was no signifigantly more powerful. "So, accomplish much in the fields?" Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Skrall tacked a small sign on the quest board as he walked back into the hall. For Sale: Wooden Shield (SP 5): 35 Gold Topaz: 75 Gold 3x Shark Jaw Scythe (WP 15/30 vs. Aquatic Monsters): 115 Gold each The ogre grabbed a tankard of ale at the bar before attempting to find an open seat. Quote
Endgame Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I approach the ogre, having to look up to even see his face. I wasn't surprised this was the hero who beat the Kraken - he probably arm-wrestled it to death. "One Scythe, please." I say, passing the hero 115 gold. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Before Skrall could even take a draft from his mug a voice inquired about one of the scythes, "My that was quick." The ogre withdrew one of the scythes strapped to his pack and handed it over to Sorrow, accepting the small pouch of 115 Gold. "Here you are. take care with it, that thing came from a beast four times my size. Have we met before?" Quote
Flare Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 The lady, noticing that Johon did not seem very interested in conversation, walks over to Skrall. "Excuse me, my good ogre, but you wouldn't happen to have a good precise bow that you might be willing to sell?" Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 The ogre took a sip from his tankard, "I do have an extra bow, can't say I picture ya bein' the archer type though. What sort of offer were ya thinkin' of makin', miss?" Quote
PsyKater Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) She turned once more to Stigveladi. "150 gold sounds like a deal. The axe is yours." "Nice, thank you." She jumps up, hissing a short "Excuse me, ladies" and walks quickly to the man with the cart. She tries to lower her voice while speaking to him. "Forgive me, I did not intend to disturb your meditation. I am Stigveladi Kötturin, the Ghost Buster. I hunt Ghosts that disturb the silence of the graves and served men of god before. Well, I do not want to hold you up. I am generous to a Man of God. I'll give you 150 Gold for that Wand of Poking.", she whispers. Edited October 7, 2013 by PsyKater Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 A gust of wind entered the room. Drifting on that gust of wind, as if a leaf on a branch, or a cloth swept off its line by a powerful gust, floated the silhouetted shape of Sylph Solanum. Nearly ethereal did he look descending from the outside, but as the light from the sun receded, his form grew clearer, until what had seemed shockingly like a ghost or black spirit was clearly now the armoured druid who made his abode within the brick halls. His cold metal helmet sought a place to rest from the tiring, but uninteresting ordeal he'd been through. Gnomes and holes in the ground and Bonaparte politics were all such dull affairs... But the Spider he'd saved... and the Wolves... The idealistic wolves who'd see the city burn... He'd saved them too. Their lives had some use to the Druid. A potential for events to arise that would not otherwise... The Druid was content, but his wit dulled like an unused sword by the mad monk. "Hmm." He chuckled to himself under his breezy breath. He descended upon a chair in the dark corner, his bat resting on his shoulder. Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) "Seventy five gold would suit me just fine I think." Skrall handed the Precision Bow over before inquiring of the woman. "So, new to heroing are you?" Edited October 7, 2013 by Waterbrick Down Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Dreyrugr noticed an Ogre place a sign that he was selling Scythe's. Can't hurt to have another sharp blade. "Greetings, I'll pay 115 gold for one of those Scythe's." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 "Seem to be selling like hot-cakes, here ya are." Skrall handed over a scythe for another 115 Gold. Quote

Flare Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 "Thanks, the bows not for me, though." She starts walking away from the bar but she catches Tarn's glance and gives him a womanly wink. She then walks out the doors of the hall, and firmly closes them. --- As soon as Benji got out of the hall he tore the mask off. He needed to head towards the marketplace, now that he had his new bow. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Tarn smiled as the woman winked at him and left. He likewise left the Hall, but was puzzled when he couldn't see her. Instead he saw Benji striding towards the Marketplace. "Hey Benji, did you see a fine-looking lass go past?" Quote
