Rumble Strike Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I want to thank Waterbrick Down for a fantastic Quest. I liked the length of it - both this and Quest#5 were the perfect length, I feel. Long enough for players to be invested in the storyline but short enough that it all moves at a good pace and doesn't get bogged down. I said before that I loved your sets, they, along with the folk that populated the Quest, were imaginitive and fit right in to the story that you wanted to tell. I liked the riddles and puzzles, it is nice to get those and have to solve something rather than just hit things. Props go to basically everyone but me for solving them. The last puzzle as to the turban was a bit of a stumper but it was all there in the pics so no complaints. I like the switch between being on a "fetch quest" to deciding whether to prevent a plague. I liked that the stakes were raised and I think that your experience with Sandy's Quest where you technically failed it meant that you realised you could give us the freedom to decide for ourselves. I was glad that Tarn seemed to be on the same page as Atramor and I think those two actually seemed to bond a bit during the Quest which was nice. For the record there was no way that Tarn was going to hand over those ingredients and he woudl have fought anyone on his team who decided otherwise. I wonder what Skrall and En Saban Nur would have done, being more morally ambiguous. I hope this is all good feedback and I just want to say again that I had a really good time playing. Quote

Etzel Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 After some time I've been able to complete almost all of the scenes for a quest I would like to host so here is my pitch: Quest Title: The Paladin Conquest Assignment: The Paladin Order requires assistance from Heroica. Our sanctuary in the village of Tanco on the island of Moone is threatened by evil forces. The 1st Battalion of Ligth and Justice still holds it but the losses have been bigger then expected. The heroes from Heroica will be sent as reinforcements to help the battalion defend the village and the sanctuary against the forthcoming attack. Party Requirements: A team of 5 heroes that are willing to fight for justice in the name of Ennoc, the Righteous Light, especially Knights and Clerics. Reward: A symbolic sum of 250 gold to split and a holy bomb for each hero. But there will be lots of loot for those who fight well. Additional info: Improved relations with one of the factions of Eubric is possible depending on choices during the quest. Private quests might happen for some players. Since this would be your first quest to host, can you please send me some more details of how many battles and other events you're going to include, and if you have some pictures you've prepared for the quest, seeing a few of them would be great as well. Likewise, diplomacy and sneaking will be required. Rouges and Knights will be needed. Please no barbarians. Reward: The hopeful rebels have offered you up to 300 gold each. Additional Information: Sign-Ups will go from 26th until the 3rd. There will be lots of thinking and riddles, just as my last quest. The heroes have the possibility of being separated, but they will not be taken out of the quest at any point, but instead have quests to complete on their own! If there's a barbarian, then they can ALWAYS be the one to give up health because they know that they will regain it at no cost at the end of the next battle. Quote

Just to let you know, don't feel bad that you didn't figure out the mystery of the raids. It was something that was there for you to profit greatly from if you figured it out (the Hinckwells would've payed you 300 Gold apiece), but I didn't try to add that many clues in, since the ending as it happened was what you were meant to do to lead right into the sequel Quest. I tried to make it look like the elves were responsible, since for the Quest to succeed, you were meant to kill Keveak or Sir Leonard. The only thing wrong choice would have been to kill all four leaders. Quote

And we thought people were riled up over that ancient fire sword... hah! Just got finished reading the conclusion. Love the storytelling, and the accompanying pictures were great. You've got a real knack for this, and I look forward to Q17--participating OR watching! Despite the deception of the Shadeaux, I think I'll maintain my allegiance until I find one of their blades lodged square in my back. Everybody's got a motive these days, and at least they kept true to their word, letting us keep our weapons, paying us at the conclusion, AND not hiring a bunch of assassins to catch us unaware on our way home, haha.
