I buy an Amethyst (2855-100=2755) then merge the Amethyst and Diamond into my Briar Bow (2755 - 50 - 50 = 2655).

I then upgrade it to WP:20 (2655 - 120 - 130 - 140 - 150 - 160 - 170 - 180 - 190 - 200 = 1565)

I buy leather armour. (1565 - 30 = 1535) and upgrade it to SP:10 (1535 - 20 - 30 - 40 - 50 - 60 - 70 - 80 - 90 - 100 = 185)

Arthur strolls into the Marketplace, pleased to see Elphaba's wagon sitting there once more. "Two scrolls of Frailty and one of Weakening, please." Sliding 150 Gold over the counter, he adds, "It is good to see a friendly face. They seem to be growing rare these days." He seems as if he has more to say to the witch, but she slides his purchases to him before he can speak further. Accepting the worn parchment with a nod, he sets off back in the direction of Heroica Hall.

Guts steps in the marketplace again, first he sells his Greatsword Fafnir for 70 gold, and his Throwing Axe for 25 gold. Then he stops by Elphaba's wagon to buy one Scroll of Weakening and one Scroll of Frailty, as well as a Diamond (50+50+100). Fabian's is up next, where he sells his Spiked Collar for 15 gold, and has the Diamond and the Scroll of Frailty imbued in his Dancing Shoes (50+50 gold). Total= 351+70+25+15-50+50+100+50+50= 161)

Grimwald buys a Scroll of Frailty from Elphaba using the 50 gold that Arthur had lent him, leaving him broke (again).

Haldor takes a walk through the marketplace with a spring in his step and a smirk on his face. The nord made his way along to Anwyl's smithy, and planted his axe on the counter with a clang.

"Dwarf, I need you to hone this weapon to the best of your ability, and I will pay handsomely for it."

He leaves the blacksmith to his work, upgrading Zoot er Isen to WP:15 at the cost of 150 gold. The next stop for Haldor is Elphaba's magic wagon, where he exchanges 50 gold pieces for a scroll of sleep without saying a word. The shaman is left with 54 gold coins, and some improved equipment.

Ellaria walks up to Portia, and purchases one Grand Tonic from her (75-30=45 gold).

She then visits Elphaba, and buys two Health Cores (45-20-20=5 gold).

She hopes she's ready for another adventure now, whenever it might be...

On his way to the Guildhouse, Atramor made a stop at the marketplace. He handed over the brutal-looking Pongcanis Flail to Anwyl, receiving 30 coins in return. He then handed over the Staff of the Elven Warlock and 50 coins, while the blacksmith removed the Emerald from the weapon. Atramor accepted the gem, as well as 25 coins for the weapon itself. Finally, he picked up three Smelling Salts from Portia, deciding against a Mulled Wine despite how much he may have enjoyed being able to take a hit to that degree. Now fully prepared, he once more set down the streets of Eubric.

Sarge sells his mulled wine to portia for 28 (Is that right?) gold. (15+[55/2])= 43 gold. He then bought 2 meads and a smokebomb (2x15+5=35) 43-35= 8 gold. He was poor now!

Thalion enters the Marketplace, goes to Portia to sell his Dirt Bomb, and buy a Potion 550 + 5 - 5 = 550. He then goes to Fabian and sells his leather Cap for 15 gold. Afterwords, he goes to Elphaba's Magic Wagon where he buys 1 of each: Amethyst, Diamond, Topaz and Garnet; Scroll of Frailty, Sealing and Weakening. (550 - 550 = 0) After putting the new items in his backpack, he goes back to the Hall a poor man...

Barty opens up Boomingham's bag of gold and pulls out a shopping list. He squints at it.

"Well, look at something else Boomingham can't do. This shopping list is horrendous."

Barty drops the list and it disappears in a flash of light. He zips over to Portia's stall and drops off 2 potions (+4 gold), 1 grand potion (+5 gold), and 2 deadly venoms (+50 gold).

Barty then makes his way to Elphaba's cart, his head upturned.

"Have to do what you have to do," he says. He drops 300 gold on the counter and picks up 2 scrolls of weakening, 1 scroll of fragility, one scroll of sleep, one scroll of blindness, and one scroll of sleep.

"Let's see if he doesn't mind doing some reading."

(284+4+5+50+20-300=63 gold)

Alexander enters in the Market and heads to Anwyl's shop to upgrade his bow from WP: 5 to WP: 6. Then he heads to Fabian's shop "Hi master, I want to buy a tricorne." giving to Fabian 120 gold then he sells Shakels of war for 1 gold. Finally he heads to Portia and sell a venom for 2 gold and buy 2 potion for 10 gold.

203 - 60 - 120 + 10 + 2 - 10 = 25 gold

Sarge sells his metal teeth for 15 gold, then purchases 2 Remedies from Portia. Leaving him with 3 gold.

Nagure walks into the marketplace, with 724 gold and purchases a Diamond and an Amethyst from Elphaba for 200 gold. (100 +100= 200)

Nagure then buys a Shield (SP: 5) from Fabian, and upgrades it to SP:9 (50+60+70+80+90=350)

He also merges his Amethyst with his Hammer, His Diamond with his axe and his Ruby with his Yeti Fur Coat for 150 gold. (50+50+50= 150)

Finally, with the last of his money, he buys 2 grand potions for 20 gold. (10+10)

Nagure leaves with 4 gold. (724-200-350-150-20=4 gold.)

Benji walks into the marketplace with his pockets full of gold. Deep in thought, he didn't feel like starting a conversation in the hall, so he decided to fulfill his urge to go on a shopping spree. He first visits Elphaba.

"Hey there. Haven't seen you have for a few moons. Anyways, I'd like to purchase from you a Scroll of Sleep, Blindness, Confusion, Frailty, and Weakening. Also, I have 10 bones to sell, I heard that you buy them for 5 gold each." 626-(50*5)+50=426 gold remaining

Benji then heads over to Fabian, looking at all of the interesting items he has for sale. He is tempted to spend some gold on buying some nice stuff, but instead he asks Fabian to do some scroll merging with his newly acquired Medal of Glory.

"Please merge these with this medal. I need to be protected from these nasty effects."

Benji hands over the medal and 250 gold, and receives his medal in return with immunity to the asleep, blinded, confused, fragile, and weakened effects. 426-250=176 gold remaining

Benji stops as he is about to leave Fabian's shop. He forgot something.

"Also, I'd like to get a tricorne. Thanks." 176-120=56 gold remaining

Wandering around the other marketeers in the marketplace, I sell the two black pearls and two golden fleeces that I had with me. 56+(75*2)+(90*2)=386 gold in inventory

With this newly found gold, I go and purchase some consumables. "4 nostrums and 5 smelling salts, please." 386-(35*4)-(25*5)=121 gold remaining

To finish off my current gold spending craze, I go and merge my garnet with my crossbow. 121-50=71 gold remaining

Benji silently leaves the marketplace and returns to the hall, still deep in thought.

Nerwen walks to the marketplace stopping at Elphaba's cart.

She purchases an amethyst, and scrolls of weakening and blindness.

She stows the scrolls in her satchel but takes the gem to Anwyl's

She has the amethyst merged with her magical staff and a ruby from her bag added to the mourning star. Then she has the mourning star upgraded to wp10. And uses her grating stone on the staff, taking it to wp15.

Then, leaving the marketplace via Portia's she buys two Phoenix essences to add to the other she already had.

131g-50-50=31g

Satisfied she was well equipped, Nerwen returns to her room to collect the rest of her belongings and stop by the altar of Sem.

I hand Elphaba 50+50=100 Gold, which leaves me with 805-100=705 Gold.

"Master Fabian, I'd like my Scroll of Confusion and Scroll of Blindness merged with my Dread Hat."

I hand the elf 50+50=100 Gold, and return to the Hall with 705-100=605 Gold.

Xander hurries inside the Marketplace, eager to meet up with his fellow heroes on his next quest.

Selling his Silver Ore (+60g), Golden Fleeces (+180g), five Water Bombs (+25g), one Ice Bomb (+5g), the Amulet of the Elven Horse Rider (+10g), two Remedies (+10g) and two Venoms (+4g) he brings his total gold to 1121g, including the momney he had gained from the sale of 2 mysterious mushrooms.

Walking up to Anwyl, he hands him his Precision Bow, upgrading it to WP:19 -(130+140+150+160+170+180+190=1120g) and leaving him with 1g.

[Endgame]

After Arthur and Alexis reconcile, I take a walk with the sorcerer to the Marketplace. I eye each stall's ware carefully...

"I'm still a bit indecisive... but you have your own list, right?"

"Right here." he says, unfurling out a rather massive list. We were going under Patricia's employ, though... perhaps he wanted to do his best at his new job. I chat with various merchants as he goes about, doing his business.
