XelusPrime Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) Greetings forum I've been busy over the past few weeks, and I've stumbled upon a little problem that I hope someone might be able to help me with, I'm in search of a somewhat of a list of all the Bionicle pieces and their measurements, as I'm busy modelling (3D) the actual parts, I want to keep them all to the right scales for assembly. The idea I have for a kind of a game requires me to first make all the parts, and then give the player the ability to build his/her on creation with limitless amount of parts. I have a few of the Bionicle books, but not really the pieces anymore, and the books don't give a 1:1 scale for all the parts. I've modeled quite a few pieces from references, but scale is my biggest problem at this point. I've modeled most of Taknuva's parts, as well as a few of the basic parts. Anyone maybe know where I might be able to get a list of even the measurements for these things? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Brickthing Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 As far as I know, nobody has made such a list. You'll find however that despite their diverse non-blocklike shapes, many features of BIONICLE pieces fit perfectly into whole mm measurements, much more-so than you'd expect. If you want accurate measurements, you either need to take reference photographs/scans of the pieces or use a set of measuring calipers. For both of these you'll need the physical pieces at hand, unless you can convince someone else to do all that work for you. One exception to the above is using LDD screenshots to get accurate (but less detailed) reference photographs, but I don't think that LDD has many of the older pieces that you are looking for. Quote
