Let's assume I'm not thát big a fan of the show  Of everything I am a fan of that's older than I am, I almost only know (and am interested in) stuff that appeared since I started watching/reading/playing it (for example; I'm not that big a fan of the Star Wars OT as well).

But I'm seriously off topic now.

So, anyways. Thanks for the link. It's quite interesting as you said :sweet:

That's what I like about games like this, they help me learn stuff about the origins of the things that I like so much

Regards,

Mitch

Got this game the first day it came out, I must admit this game is pretty fun especially with the different locations of Cybertron which gives you the overall appearance of how Cybertron was during the last days(very war ridden, with ashes and destruction).

9.5/10 Very well done again High Moon Studios.

Wait... dinobots?

This is what I was thinking!

How could there be Dinobots (and Insecticons) on Cybertron?

The Transformers needed to visit Earth before they had had something to base these alternate modes on.

It was already explained, and is explained in the game.

The autobots scanned planets before sending out the ships such as the ark to see if they had energon to sustain them, as they scanned earth they would have records of dinos.

Well it was Shockwave that made them or experimented the Dinobots or Grimlock's team, so probably he saw the way the dinos looked and then did the experiments.

Got the demo version today, I really enjoyed playing it. I was pleased that all the robots resembelled their 80s counterparts, that I grew up with. The transforming feature is very well done, and the online mode was awesome, very exciting. Can't wait to get this game soon. :sweet:

I played WFC, but haven't played the new game...yet. Aside from all the neon and some of the Cybertronian alt modes, what bugs me about this series is that Hasbro is basically changing or burying alot of the original aspects to many of the chracters and overall story of Transformers which they established in the original series. To me, those original stories are and always will be canon. However, Hasbro, via Mr. Aaron Archer, are trying to consolidate a revised canon to make these games, the tv show Transformers: Prime, and the live action movies into one large overarching canon. For a long time fan, it feels to me like the G1 origin stories have been stripped of their relevence and replaced with a cobbled together storyline to tie their new products and shows together. They love to mine G1 for characters and such, but simultaneously, they're crapping on the very thing that made, and still make, fans embrace it.

They may have come up with an explanation for Dinobots on Cybertron aeons before Prime and crew go to Earth, but the original G1 story behind their creation and personalities still seems more practical.

On the toy front, despite his diminutive size, FOC Optimus Prime has become one of my favorite plastic incarnations of the big guy. I'm generally not fond at all of Cybertronian alt modes, but I love the new look of both his truck and bot modes. That's ending on a positive note.

NO NO NO. You have you're facts entirely wrong. First of all these stories and G1 are in entirely different universes, so they are not messing up G1 in the least. Second of all, it's Prime, Rescue Bots, WFC, FOC, Exiles, and Exodus that are in the same continuity famliy: The Aligned Continuity. The movies are not part of The Aligned Continuity Family in any way and I am not sure how you got the idea that they were. Also, the aligned continuity's explanation for the dinobots actually makes perfect sense within the continuity. After all, Ratchet can't fix Bee's voicebox let alone create five full Cybertronians: and Wheeljack is a rogue and the extent of his inventiveness is trying to blow up Soundwave with a hidden bomb inside of Laserbeak. Plus good luck creating a group of five cybertronians without a source of sparks, which neither the Autobots or the Decepticons have.
