Nocturnus Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion

I think the current torture MOCs are of one Guild torturing generic people from another Guild area but not specific characters or members of a specific group. The MOCs that you mentioned above depict the torture of minifigs that look as if they were from a specific area but are not ones that another User has said are part of his/her group or signature character. I think to show the torture of a random Avalonian or Midgardian is ok but it would be considered an act of "war" to show the torture of a User's specific characters that they have posted in their Guild thread.

I would double check with a Moderator though but as I understand the discussion so far this seems to be the answer.

In my Kaliphlin Bazaar I have some random guys jailed up and one about to have his hand lopped off for theft, but they are just generic figs that look like they're from Nocturnus because of the colours they're wearing, then again your colours are yellow and red, where as these are red and black, still Nocturnusy me thinks, but anyways yeah, nothing personal, I would never attack a person's sigfig if it's against the rules.

Of course I would only use generic characters (NUCs = Non User Characters), not a specific user fig. If there are any similarities they are not intended, but I will check this, though I can not guarantee that they will look totally different. I also do not know how "killing a user-fig" would work, they would have no chance to defend when I just build it and toss it into lava or something... that would not be cool.

There will be a point where we will have to distinguish between character knowledge and user knowledge. Of course I know when something happens in kaliphlin for example because I read the topic. But my character does not have internet , so if there are no nocturnian spies present, a certain character will only know it when the news spread by rumor or it is made public by royal bell men.

I would invest in a "crystal ball", "magic mirror", "scrying orb", "sword of omens" or some other such magical devise that would give you sight beyond sight (also known as the fantasy internet). Then you can impart some knowledge to your characters that you read on the internet.

Regarding to the "other guildsmen torturing acts", when we found those poor bastards next to the gatehouse of Haudh-en-Dúath, they weren't assigned to any guild nor showing it's colours. I even offered a way out with an political apologie, but no one appeared. So, I jailed them and now they'll be working as slaves in the construction of Nocturnus Embassy.

There are Dragons, Crownies, Lions, Orcs and Elfs all over Historica. It doesn't mean they are really assigned to any Guild.

Any way, if you trespass any Guild's territory without announcement or invitation, pray for not to be caught!

Just be sure to cast Morten Kiden's Faithful Watchdog and your character should be fine.

By the way, has anyone else been eyeing those new snake people from the Ninjago sets and thinking they would make a good addition to Nocturnus? As I recall there are already some shields with snakes on them that could match up nicely with the snake people.

I mean, if there were to be a small party of few hundred soldiers with masks who terrorize the west, who could say that they are from nocturnus? Not all Drow bow to the matron mother (as they should:), so, there are outlawed raiding parties all over the Historica. One of them could be an organized party, and if catch... well, if they are so weak to be taken captives, they should be. If they break and say they are army send from Lith My'athar or some other Drow cities, slander, I say!

So, wee could burn and pillage SOME border villages, don't you think? Only few? Nobody will miss few puny avalonians, there is already so many of them :) And we will wage real war after we are done playing ;)

As for myself, I am planning to share all my slaves (Mpya Stedor is founded on the hard labor of unlucky slaves) and have a big slaverymarket. So I don't want to put someone else figure as slave without knowing it and starting a war (but on the other hand, I am sure he would be sold for big money...... and my palace is ruining my personal treasure)

(I need to change my pic btw, but I just ordered the Chang Wu character together with all slopes for my palace and I'll pimp him so he can become my character)

Captain Obvious to the rescue: cynical derives from "kyon" (greek) = dog. A dog bites. So do cynical comments. It is a wordplay.

Those Serpents from Ninjago would be perfectly fitting into the Eastern Darklands, as there are the Reptrians already. The Serpents could be related to them somehow. They remind me of Naga.

Well, if things go this way, Drow will commence building of the Death star :)

Anyhow, we are building embassy in north ;)

But just for fun, I will take one new-year-picture; there is a lot of ice on this building, and a chimney - just perfect for a Santa Clause ;)

Actually, we will build an embassy in every guild, a bulky, wide one on the north, a tall, slim one on the west, and a small and secluded on the east

From what I understand from other post, cannons are out. A "magical" death ray could be another matter though.

I know one thing I plan on doing is picking up a Black Pearl set and replacing the cannons with ballista along with some other changes to make it more "fantasy" looking.

Wow, that is the first time I had heard about the WoW Mega Blocks, what a pitty it was with them, I am wondering if there will be anything salvageable out of those sets - maybe weapons? Although, don't get me wrong, the figures look really nice for a non-lego world, I just can't utilize Mega blocks other than structural support. At least is is not shifty or best lock.

She is the Grand Mistress (that holds the title "The Dark Lady") of the Cult "The Order of Arachna", a band of witches and warlocks who worship Kerakatha, Queen of the Restless Dead.

Additionally on that picture you can see some guards and scouts in the services of the Order, who are not members on their part.

To become a member, each novice has to get bitten or stung by a venomous creature, e. g. a spider or a scorpion, and survive the process without getting an antivenom.

By doing so the members develop a high resistance to poison which is quite handy in the Moruth Swamps. On the downside they sometimes suffer from negative permanent side effects: After getting bitten by a spider, the skin of the Black Widow turned pale as the moonlight (how ironic), others' may even turn green. The high conjurer of serpents became blind after he was bitten by a pit viper but instead developed some kind of infrared vision that allows him to sense sources of heat in his proximity.

When a member has seen its own death but fought it, it develops the power to control the afterlife. That is a requirement for performing necromancy according to the rules of the Order.

An artifact of the Order of Arachna is a crystal that is emitting waves of dark energy. As no one has ever been able to control it by channeling the energy, one goal of the Order is try to find out about the origins of said crystal.

The scouts of the Dark Lady have come across an ancient tome in the abandoned ruin of a tower that is extremely of her concern. What might she have found in it? You may see it soon.

Nice monsters already! But same remark, pictures are maximum 800x600 pixels. If you don't know how to change seize, do like me: Paint and Word. You copy your picture, paste it in Word, select the picture again and normally it's now already below the 800x600 seize. So select copy again, go to Paint, select paste and save it as JPEG

I feel like posting the story of my dwarves so here it is. The death dwarves were a polytheistic civilazation who lived in the mountains of Nocturnus and worshipped demons. They mined and traded. However they were very hostile to strangers in a deadly way. One day while mining agroup of dwarves were hacking away at the ground in the deepest part of the mines when the ground shattered underneath them. They fell onto a rock floating in magma. They looked around and saw in the cave millions of blood red gems. Then they saw a tomb made entirley out of obsidian. Naturally, they wondered inside when they foated to it it was on a large black island. They went through a hallway and entered a large room lit by torches in the center was a coffin. They walked to it. And it opened, slowly the demon known as Blood, who resembles their king demon,came out of the coffin and said" I AM YOUR RULER. For centurys i have slept now i have risen". All the dwarves bowed and took him to the mine where dwarves dropped their tools to follow them, they went to the village and the dwarves in the village came and followed, they went to the castle and the soldiers came and followed. They entered the throne room and Blood said " off of my throne,I am your ruler" The king stared at him with disrespect, and unsheathed his sword. Instantly Blood shot flames from his hand engulfing the king and burning him to ashes! Blood sat down in the throne and told the dwarves to leave and continue what they were doing and said a spellin an ancient language. A crack appered in the floor and Bones his demon servant appeared. " How may i serve you master" said Bones. " SPREAD NEWS THAT THE NEW KING OF THE DWARVES IS HERE!!!!" screamed Blood. Blood said another spell and his demon warrior with his beast appeared in a cloud of smoke " I live to serve you" said the warrior. "Then go.Go and gather the best soldiers here!!!" said Blood. Then Blood walked into the very center of the village and as loud as he could said yet another spell. Flames reached from the ground to the sky in front of him. "SCREEEEEEEEE" Abomination the demonic dragon appeared and hvered infront of Blood. " Abomination you are here, I have brought you here" said Blood. Blood flew on his dragon back to the castle and soon all the Dwarves arrived along with the demon warrior, his beast, and Bones. All the dwarves bowed "We are at your service." "Where are the best warriors? " he asked the demon warrior" right here master" five dwarves stepped foward.Come with me he told them. They followed him to the castle he said a spell for about 30 minutes and they were sorrunded by purple light. It stopped and they were in front of lord S (forgot how to spell name) "I JOIN NOCTURNUS" said Blood

Elric Wayne was once a lowly, minor Lord from Avalonia but had the ambition and desire to rule Avalonia and get revenge on those that kept him in such a low position of power. One day Lord Wayne was approached by a necromancer named Ja'Khal. Ja'Khal told Lord Wayne that he could all the power he needed to make his ambitions a reality and an army large enough to enforce his will. All Lord Wayne had to do for this power was to move to Nocturnus and become a Warlord for Ja'Khals deities The Five. Lord Wayne was told that once The Five return to Historica from the lands beyond the Eastern Sea they would prepare the land for the return of their father The First One and when that happens The First One's enemies will be ground to dust and his followers will be exalted. Greedy for Power, Lord Wayne took Ja'Khal's deal and began marching his army to Nocturnus. When they arrived at the North Eastern Point, Ja'Khal was there and had an army of armored skeletons to add to Warlord Wayne's ranks and the promise that all of the enemies Warlord Wayne killed would become his loyal foot soldiers.
