Algernon Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I know this has been repeated again and again, but dang that castle is just fantastic! Quote
305Bats Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I hope Walmart.com gets them soon,their prices are much better than TRU's! Quote
LRDark Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Here are the direct links to the TRU hi-res(-ish) images of the Vampyre Castle. First two are vertically stretched though.. >snip< These pictures are making me really excited for this set; I must say, I think my favourite parts include the glow-in-the-dark vines on the exterior walls and the curtain & casket room. They're quite simple, but they add a whole lot of flavour to Lord Vampyre's lair. I'm really looking forward to adding this thing to my Castle collection. Quote
King of Nynrah Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I didn't read back for a few pages, but there is some intruiging fact on that brickshop webpage: Apparently the new ghost figure will get a promotional polybag mini-set, set number 30201, which is not listed on brickset as of now. Sadly the shop doesn't have a picture of said polybag (shame!!)... Just wanted to point that out! Be well! Cutty edit and p.s.: How's it coming SEVEN people already marked that "Zombies" set as "owned"?! Is it out anywhere early already? We now have further confirmation of the 30201 "Ghost Polybag" set mentioned in this post. See here. Quote
vynsane Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I hope Walmart.com gets them soon, their prices are much better than TRU's! But, generally speaking, only about $0.02 cheaper than anyone else who has their sets marked at MSRP. Every once-in-a-while you'll get a price-drop, but Target usually has the same sale going on at the same time. The best is when Walmart and Amazon get into a price-war, they just keep dropping and dropping until one of them flinches! As for the Vampire Castle - it looks incredible! I can't wait to get my hands on this theme, it's utterly ridiculous in the best way possible. Quote
305Bats Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Right now the Batcave is $20 less at Walmart.com than at TRU.com! Quote
vynsane Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Right now the Batcave is $20 less at Walmart.com than at TRU.com! Yes, it is... $69.97! Whoa, what a bargain compared to the official LEGO Shop@Home site, or Target where it's $69.99!!! A whole two cents off, as I previously stated. Whenever I hear "Everyday low prices" I always append "by two cents" - it seems to almost be universally true of WM. Though Amazon has it for $67.98 right now... Quote

No, I understand perfectly. What I'm saying in response is you should ignore TRUs prices completely and compare Walmart to other stores because TRU marks their prices up astronomically. Comparing apples to apples, Walmart's prices aren't all that much to get excited about. You're comparing apples to apples that have been marked up by $20. Quote
305Bats Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Well I was comparing those two cause I usually buy online using PayPal and I'm not sure that Target or LegoShop take PayPal,either way we can agree that TRU's prices are insane! Quote

I used to work for them. The employee discount almost made things a good price Quote

I might pickup a few copies of this polybag. I love the new ghost figures, and I wouldn't mind using this cheap way to make a Halloween setup this year. Quote

I bet the polybag will only be available in a certain country (Sun promo...) or it will be store exclusive and over $5. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Good, now I don't have to buy the Ghost Train. It looked okay, but the ghosts were the main draw for me. I just hope that this is available in my area. Quote
Ceroknight Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Of the two reviews I saw on youtube, these sets are pretty amazing! Quote

A LEGO executive was probably up late reading different entries to TV Tropes, which is what I do a lot. The profiles are really funny Quote
