"Fine, I'll heal Dyric, despite him deserting us. I've tried to heal my wound, but there is dark magic within, Wren's been messing with my head.

Skall glances over as Haldor heals Dyric, shaking his head he remembers his younger days when he had also held on to life at all costs, now however the end didn't seem that painful, that uninviting. Looking away and moving on, Skrall addresses Felton, "I think that's everything let's get goin', time is a wastin'."

Jess thought about what to say for a moment, then...

"Nothing. Let's get moving, shall we?"

[Scorpiox]

"Aye, how was last night?

Ah and sorry if you are embarrased to be in my company after I nearly died, you might as well start laughing like she said you would.

I love you Jess, but I'll go away if it makes you happier."

Haldor puts on his shirt and prepares to leave for the factory, his mind full of doubts put there by Wren. Did Jess really care about him?

"To the factory then," Hoke said as he slid Vintul in its sheath.

[Sisco]

Jess says nothing, but stays by Haldor's side as he prepares to leave.

OOC-Just remember, almost none of what I said earlier was said aloud.

[Zepher]

"Well that was a quick turn around, darling," Wren whispers in (ONLY) Jess' ear. "Dropping men like flies, aren't you? See if you can get through Skrall, Hans, Dyric, Felton, and Hoke before you leave too, okay? That should really break Haldor's heart. Oh, and don't worry, I won't mention your doubts to him... maybe."

"I hope that more than Felton would be heart broken to see me go. I'd like to know that you have my back."

"I believe he was joking, Hans. He knows that no one would be sad to see you go."

"I liked you better when you were didn't think you were funny..."

"When did I think that?"

The two realize that their banter isn't particularly helpful to the party, who stands waiting.

"Alright, let's hit the ol' dusty trail! I'll fill you in as we go."

The party once more hikes through the mountains skirting the town. Felton talks as they go. "Wren is somewhere within the Castle where the Guard have a Head Quarters. Skulking there. Bah. What a wretched woman. But she's pompous, she'll show her face at some point I am sure." The party arrives at a factory. "I will go first. Hans has been meeting with the rebels, I've been getting to know the villagers. These guards should recognize me, I don't know if they'll let you in though! If things get ugly, I am prepared to fight with you."

Felton steps forward towards the guards, the party following him. "Greetings!" yells Felton. The guards look up and salute.

"Greetings, Felton," answers the more severe looking guard. "Doing a run in your civilian clothes? Good, the rebels won't pay you as much heed that way. Did you hear that they attacked a caravan train yesterday? Killed twenty-three good men, a number more are in intensive care! They... they anger me. Who are these other folks with you?"

"Make up a story, something. The guards are more honorable than the Rebels make them out to be. If you think of something good, we may not have to fight them..."

What will the party do?

Hoke uses his diplomacy skills.

"Good Felton contacted us about the deadly caravan raid last night. We are here to see the factories and come up with a strategy to help squelch the pathetic rebellion."

[Sisco]

Jess bristles as she hears Wren's voice in her ear.

"SHUT UP!!!" Jess screams. The others look at her with looks of concern. Blushing, Jess simply continues to walk.

[Scorpiox]

"We're mercinaries, Felton hired us when the rebel scum started getting more prominent. Reckoned we might be able to crack a few of their skulls. Rebel scum."

Haldor does his best 'hard-man' impression, and spits on the floor to make himslef more convincng.

"Jess, are you okay?

"Mercenaries, huh... alright. Let me hear a little about you. Where were you hired? What are your jobs? What are your names? I will take it down in the my records, so the other guards may take note of you. I don't mind letting you in to do a factory check, but we can't just go letting everyone in. You know. Those rebels are tricky. The rumors are flying... apparently they have some witch who can make doubles of the same person? And there are a group of Pogacanis... brutes all of them. I just need to make sure you're here with good intentions, so speak up! Names, skills, etc."

[Scorpiox]

"I'm uh Guts Holla! (), I'm the heavy one of the group, I take the fire and crush scum like those rebels. We was all hired seperatly, I was hired in the tavern in Eubric."

Haldor makes a show of kicking a crate to make his story beliveable.

Turning to the guards Skrall addresses them, "Me name Cronk. Cronk hired to poke evil rebels with pointy arrows. Cronk loves to poke evil! Have nice guards seen any evil rebels? How big is factory, Cronk never seen factory before? Many workers?"

I take Skrall aside for a minute.

Look, not a coward. You know that. I nearly died fighting in that forest. But I was almsot dead again, and you have to do what you have to do. Please, show that to the others.

I turn back to the gaurds.

Ello, mates! I'm Rone, you may or may not have heard of me. I was a bit of a strategist in my day. I'm also good at motivation. You say you've been facing losses? Good thing you ran into me.

Commander, look at your men. Now back at me. Now back to your men, now back at me. Sadly, they aren't me, but if they stopped using that pathetic training manual and listened to Mr. Rone for a bit, he could look like he's me. Look down, now back at me. You're on a training floor with the amasing soldier your men could look like. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's a hand with two things you love. Look again, the things are now weapons. Anything is possible when you men look like soldiers and not ladies!

[Sisco]

"Lara Croft be the name, Tomb Raiding mercenary be the game. I was hired in the same tavern Guts here was hired in. We're together," Jess grins as she whips out her sword to show to the guards.

"Fire-imbued. Great for burning the smirks off of that rebel scum."

[Peppermint_M]

"Cariad Middlehigh." Tesni said surpressing the tones of Cysgodion. "Former protector to the Lady Minersmith, I joined up with this group once my Ladyship was married off." She paused, "I was staying in the town of Fisharbour after escorting her to the wedding armarda." shifting the blade on her back to emphasise her next point, Tesni continued. "My skills were not required any longer and the ladyships family had no placement for me." Feigning an expression of regret Tesni bowed slightly, "Rebellion is not a nobel action." Using the bow to hide her face Tesni winked at 'Cromwell'.

[Zepher]

"Very well, Guts Holla the Heavy One, Cronk the Ogre, Cromwell Battlesword the Lordless Lord, Rone the Pompous A-Hole, Lara Croft the friend of Guts, and Cariad Middlehigh the Ex-Protector," the guard mumbles as he scribbles in his book. "Alright, looks like everything is set. You're free to go in. The workers are on brea right now, but if you run into anyone, tell 'em that I sent you in."

"Do not flatter yourself Skrall, you may be good but no one can hold a candle to my Cronk. "

The heroes walk by the guards and enter into the factory. The smells of chemicals and fire hit their noses immediately. Clearly alchemy is practiced here. The heroes begin to look around.

The shelves are lined with goods. The heroes may take some.

Each hero may take one of these two options:

Potion OR Tonic

The heroes also find three Phoenix Essences to split between the party.

Phoenix Essence (3)

"I'm going to go check up on the workers in the break room, I'll return quickly. Look around while I'm gone."

Felton slinks off.

[Scorpiox]

"I'll take a tonic."

Haldor takes a tonic and smiles at Jess.

"We made it in eh? Jess you were so convincing! But I'm sure that your goddess-ly eyes and your beasutiful face convinced them enough!"

Haldor then goes an investigates the chemicals on the table, then looks at the disc on the other table. He leaves the gold coin there, as needless stealing is wrong.

"Mind your tongue and your surroundings," Hoke whispered through gritted teeth.

He wondered if the cleric and lady rogue learned from the last battle how distractions prove disastrous to the task at hand.

"I will take a potion. As I seem to last the longest in battle, I would take a Phoenix Essence or two for the benefit of the party."

Tesni discreetly coughed a whisp of dark purple smoke into her hand as she surveyed the room. This place was disagreeing with Cysgodion, but Cariad Midhigh was a noblewoman's personal guard, not a berserker on a warpath. "I believe these spoils would better serve you other fellows." She said politely. "I was well furnished by her ladyships father before I left on this new path. However a potion often becomes helpful." Drawing closer to 'Cronk' and 'Cromwell' she whispered. "Felton seems to be acting strangely, do you others think he is on our side?"

A purple flash crackled under her eyepatch, holding in the power was tough...

Skrall looks around the room. He picks up one of the potions and hands a pheonix essence to Hoke and Haldor and keeps one for himself. Investigating the rest of the room, he takes a look at the frog like creature trying to determine if it is still living and would be up for a conversation.

As he inspects it, he comments to Tensi, "Cronk think Ms. Midhigh could be right about friend Felton. Cronk think party should take care."

Flaring her nostrils, Jess turns toward Hoke. "I'd watch what you'd say, knight. Or what you imply, for that matter. You don't want to make an enemy of me."

"Cronk think one friend of party should look at crystal ball thingy." Skrall mentions to the party before returning to the creature. Skrall's amphibean has always been rusty but he decides to inquire further of the frog.

<Hello froggy friend, Cronk's name Cronk. What is Mr. Frog doing in factory? Has Mr. Frog seen party's nice friend Felton before, or does Mr. Frog know anything nice friend Felton?>
