MetroiD Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 If it weren't for my significant Otter, I probably would never have rediscovered my passion for LEGO. Besides, she was by far more enthusiastic about modular building than myself, and has been the designer of pretty much all our MOC houses. So yeah, we most definitely do... Even though she doesn't like the Shuttle Expedition and insists that it's not worth it! I'm getting it anyway though Quote
LauraC Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 My other half and I rediscovered Lego around November last year, and it's certainly made Xmas and Birthday present buying easier! He's mostly into Technic and Mindstorms stuff though, and I prefer the medieval and fantasy themes. We're both getting excited about the Lord of the Rings lego though! Only problem we're finding is trying to make space for it in the house, I envy all you couples out there who have the space for a dedicated Lego room! Quote
Paul Boratko Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I haven't built a set in 10 years.. My wife is the set builder in the house... And my Pug is the stray part finder... Quote
fred67 Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 My wife and both kids all have some of the CMFs, at least... in fact, while I'm the buyer, I'm the last on the list to get the ones I want, they always come first. My son has a small collection, including bionicle and Star Wars, but as he just turned 13, doesn't seem to enthusiastic about LEGO anymore - although he also keeps up his CMF collection (but he's got two UNOPENED MBA packs on his desk, despite him saying he really wanted to subscribe when I asked... I may order the next set for me). My daughter sometimes builds with me - she often makes little things, even just spelling out "Happy Birthday" or something on a plate for special events, but we've also built a few nice things together, including a Ferris Wheel and some castle stuff. My wife thinks it's "cute," and likes some of the CMFs; she certainly doesn't mind it as my hobby, and I think she likes it better than other hobbies I could have. Quote
Jargo Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 My partner was away for two weeks recently and when he finally came home he brought me three large PAB cups filled with the weirdest assortment of parts but top marks for effort. Now I just have to figure out a use for tons of trans neon yellow 2x2 round bricks and about a bajillion trans clear cheese slopes. Not to mention tons of those 2x2 flowers from creator and belville.... Quote
