kyphur Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) So you think you're MAD? Well, my Yard Supervisor fired a recently hired Dug named Sebulba because he just wasn't up to our company's standards. He was escorted off the property by security and warned not to return. Apparently he was MAD enough to return and sabotage our poor Maersk Loco. The fallen tree to trap the engine on the siding was a nice touch don't you think? I'm thinking it's a good thing we have a dedicated Fire Crew on duty around the clock at the switching yard... So Brickster, which makes you more MAD... That the Maersk is burning or that Sebulba is currently more MAD than The Brickster? Edited January 29, 2012 by kyphur Quote
markz68 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Apparently he was MAD enough to return and sabotage our poor Maersk Loco. Back in November we were heading into Chicago and there was an engine on the tracks fully engulfed in flames along the Dan Ryan. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 Kyphur's Maersk image makes TheBrickster want to go postal with Maersk Madness. Put it out! Exclusive Maersk blue Train Tech tags are on fire! Quote
peterab Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Are you suffering from depression, anxiety, or even confusion? Has Maersk Madness been too much for you to handle? Do you find yourself overwhelmed by TheBrickster's Maersk Madness? Maerskin, a gentle solution. Oh yes, and now just to tip me over the edge I can't enter because I haven't got a Maersk train yet. I'm off for some retail therapy post haste ...good luck to those Maersk enriched among us. Quote
medib Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 He might have said he was named "Subulba", but I think we all know his name is "Jar Jar Binks". And he didn't start the fire on purpose.... he wanted one last turn driving it before he decided to pursue other opportunities. Quote
Ricecracker Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Hi everyone! Here is my entry: Beautiful shot! Quote
lostdriveway Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 I'm so MAD that time travel hasn't been invented yet! In 2 weeks I will finally get to own 2 x Maersk trains... only have to fly half way around the world to get them for a good price! (Thanks to my work for flying me there!) Quote

medib Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 that's MADDNESSS..... I was hoping for a SANTE FE poncho!! Quote
Vindicare Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 I need some Maerskin I can't enter the contest, unless an unassembled train in a big ziploc bag is considered "creative" in this MAD world... Quote
woolie Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) Beautiful shot! Thanks :) I used very long exposures and a flashlight as foreground fill light on just the areas I wanted, and also the train headlights. Edited January 29, 2012 by woolie Quote
L@go Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) Irving was so MAD when the Maersk train took an unexpected turn, disturbing him in his weekly ritual of trimming his bush (...), that he passed out. Train guy 1: "What does the manual say about this kind of situation?" Train guy 2: "Er... I don't know." EDIT: I didn't notice the part about photo-editing being prohibited. I hope adding a watermark isn't considered editing... Well, even if I'm disqualified, I had fun :) Edited January 29, 2012 by L@go Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) Maersk Train 10219 by wools, on Flickr Wow these are totally cool! Edited January 29, 2012 by LEGO Train 12 Volts Quote
vlai23 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Greetings, long-time lurker; infrequent poster. But I had an idea for this contest so here it is: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." It's MADNESS at the MAD TEA PARTY with the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse, Alice & the Maersk Hare! I hope you enjoy it. Quote
Tribolego Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 oh ! I go to bed just a few time after my post and I wake up with a pleasant surprise :) madness is very powerfull today ! Quote
mred Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Well, I haven't had much time, but here is my entry: News just in, from the LEGO police chopper...... Sherrifs have called for police backup after an unusual cargo was being loaded onto a train. Closer inspection by detectives found that a group of criminals, including a witch, a cannibal, a MAD scientist, and Dracula, had loaded containers full of Mexicans, Mimes, Artists and Sumos, and were trying to ship them to their secret hideout. Only time will tell what these criminal masterminds had in mind! Quote
astra Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 A good night sleep, another look at the rules and now my photo is also in the right size of 640x480. Really like the photos so far! Quote
StephanSz Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Look what I saw on my diningtable! Dino Maersk Attack Brave Maersk employees :) Quote

F0NIX Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) Ok, I am a newbie with trains. And since we dont have any train-tracks around here in my region of the country how can any train run around here you may ask? They have their own tracks of course! :) More images here. Edited January 29, 2012 by F0NIX Quote
Holodoc Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Hi everybody! Although I really, really love woolie's and wondermonkey's photos , I have to say they are not following the madness rules... RULES Image must be of your official LEGO Maersk Engine or Engine + Train All images must be 640 x 480 to be considered (same size as the contest picture above) One image per participant Photo-edited images WILL not be considered Post your image in this topic At the end of the entry period, images will be voted upon for 24 hours (or more) Now that is really mad! Anyway, here's my entry: "When Joe saw the job advert saying "Ride the new ECO-MAERSK", he applied immediately. Well, this was not what he thought of..." Quote
eiker86 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Here's my entry... hen the UK planes and traffic stops with 5 cm with snow, the Norwegian trains do not stop with 2 meters. Quote
GRogall Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) Wow, Wondermonkey's and Woolie's entry are great! Sadly although I have the set, I not going to open any of the five that I own because I can't store the set anywhere when I'm done! But good luck to all the rest! Someday I'll get a train tag for all the official HR images that I post. So I hope? Edited January 29, 2012 by grogall Quote
mostlytechnic Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Although I really, really love woolie's and wondermonkey's photos , I have to say they are not following the madness rules... Woolie didn't photoshop it, at least didn't say he did. In fact, he explains how he took his Maersk outside and used a flashlight to get the lighting for the shot. That looks legit to me. Quote
