Capt.JohnPaul Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Alexandre continues to run south to join the others in the center room. (Throne room.) "Keep running! " Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) "Keep the petite hero's advice in mind, Mr. Harkenshire. I shall attack Lord Blackenord with my Sabre, from the front row!" William nodded in agreement, and mimed his attack. "Mr. Harkenshire wants to attack Lord Blackenord, twice, from the back row, with his repeating crossbow." CorneliusMurdock Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Mage Nyx, Cronk notices that Nyx still has a Bomb XX in inventory. Although last bomb not work so swell, perhaps bomb couold be used to good advantage here if hero throwing it only one in room with enemy. Cronk will bash Lord Blackenord from front row. Quote
posades Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 OOC: All the enemies in the west hall are stunned this round, right? So we can do anything without getting attacked/free hits? Xander ponders his next move, wondering if he should attack again or use the skeleton decoy in his possession. Quote
JimBee Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I should have 16 health, and I think you forgot to poison Roland. Also, since you seem to be recording it, XX can't deal free hits either. OOC: Fixed, thank you. OOC: All the enemies in the west hall are stunned this round, right? So we can do anything without getting attacked/free hits? OOC: No, Take to the Skies stuns all enemies for the current round it's used only, and makes the user invulnerable for the following round. Quote
Flipz Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 OOC: The map shows three Elite Guards still alive, but Skrall killed one last Round. "Nice one, Xander!" Arthur pauses. "I'm going to try and blind Roland from the Back Row again, unless someone has a better plan. Heroes in the South Hall," he calls, "if you flee next Round, flee to Ella. She needs you more than we do, remember that there is an entrance off of the East Hall." Quote
CMP Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 "Hmm...Arthur, do you think maybe you could head east? XX can't deal free hits, and we're gonna need all the help we can savin' Ella. De'kra could use his Smoke Bomb next round to get ya'll into the eastern corridor if needed, and your scrolls could come in serious handy against those Chaos Beasts." Quote
Zepher Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 I'm pretty sure we fail the Quest if Phil's knocked out and he's not revived. We've all only got 3 Phoenix Essences left, and the other 2 are on the other side of the palace. Your call, though." The only way to fail the Quest at this point is to lose Emperor Septrine. ALL other NPCs in the building may be stolen or KO'd, and you will be fine. Quote

"Hmm...it all depends on whether or not I can flee via the Back Row, if I cannot, then the Free Hits of virtually all the enemies in here would be enough to take me out. In addition, I'm not certain if Cronk's Guardian Angel would protect me from the Free Hits of the Chimaera Guards, if not, they could Free Hit me out of existence in the South Hall. Don't get me wrong, I sorely wish to test my power against the Chaos Beasts again, but I don't know if I can actually make it there. If I see an opening, though, I'll take it." OOC: QMs, I'd greatly appreciate an answer to these questions; can I move rooms via the Back Row, and would I take multiple Free Hits from the Chimaera Guards upon re-entering the South Hall? Quote

QM Note:You move from the Front Row. I'm 99% sure on this; correct me if I'm wrong, JimB, Zeph. When you move from one room to another, you receive one Free Hit from the enemy highest in the Enemies list in the room you left, but you will take Free Hits from the enemies in the room you enter. Here we go: 7) If you use your turn to move out of a room with enemies in it, and a free hit would have been landed on you, the free hit still lands. This is only true for one free hit per round (ex: if there would have been free hits on Players A, then B, then C, then A, but A is moving out of the room, one free hit will land on A, then he will move to his intended room, and the free hits will land on B, then C, then B). CMP Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) I think Flavius fled from the back row, though, while he was still around. Also, if he was low enough in the battle order that a free hit wouldn't have landed on him even if he had stayed, does that mean the only hits he'd be taking are from the Chimera Guards? "Agh...damn it. Stay where you are, then, I suppose. If worst comes to worst, I don't think we need Ella, strictly speakin'..." Edited July 30, 2012 by CallMePie Quote

Also, if he was low enough in the battle order that a free hit wouldn't have landed on him even if he had stayed, does that mean the only hits he'd be taking are from the Chimera Guards? QM Note: Yes he did, and it took three or four hits from the Lion Commanders to take him out. He was the only one in the room, so he was the only one who could take a Free Hit. Thus he took one each round from the first enemy listed. Everything is according to what room your in. Flavius never came into contact with Chimera Guards, so why would they have free hits on him? @Flipz, yes you can move from the back row (Flavius and Alexandre did it). You would not take free hits from the Chimera Guards if you moved to the south corridor. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 @Flipz, yes you can move from the back row (Flavius and Alexandre did it). QM Note:Oops. I've been moving players in the Front Row. I think the only players that took Damage while moving for me didn't declare a Row, though, so technically nothing needs to be fixed. Quote
CMP Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Sorry, the second bit is referring to Flipz, not Flavius. "Oh, apparently you could move to the southern corridor without getting mauled. Damn, I wish I was there, I wanna tangle with those Zootlings again too. Ah, well." Quote
Flipz Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) Seeing his opening, Arthur darts to the South Corridor from the Back Row. OOC: Thanks, QMs! Waterbrick Down Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Skrall smirked at the Rito, she reminded him of his ex, fiery and always ready for a good argument. He quickly reloaded his Hunter's Crossbow and fired off a round at Elite Heavy Guard B from the back row, "Go fer the emperor swift one, I'll put this next guard out of his misery and move on down the row. Ms. Isabella go fer the more wounded archer, Xander, Nerwen will be comin' to yer aid so go ahead and take out the archer with the higher health. Sarick, go ahead and keep the last Heavy Guard busy." Skrall shouts over to Arthur as he prepares to dash into the other room, "Arthur, tell Mr. Harkenshire if he's got smellin' salts use them on Cronk. Quote
Xarrzan Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Feeling refreshed, Sarick attacked Heavy Elite Guard C from the back row with frost magic. Quote
Tanma Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 IC: De'kra held Chiara at the ready, in preparation of the current attack. "Grand Leader Skrall," clicked the rogue as he prepared for the last planned attack of the southern defenders, "Unless Cronk summon his summon second time, heroes in entrance will flee by smoke bomb after this round. As leader of all heroes present, where you think heroes should fog then? I think main priorities of heroes are kill Rolando and protect good emperor, so which you think heroes should go to? If you think it necessary, heroes could split into two groups and each group go to different objective." Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 "I understand your fears little one, should it come to it, I believe Cronk and William should join us, while you, the metasimean and Master Regulus should join the group in the throne room." Quote

OOC: By invulnerable do you mean not being able to be attacked? Can she still take a free hit and it just "miss"? Xander heard a familiar voice, one that he hadn't heard in quite some time. He smiled to himself, glad to know Arthur was still his amicable self even through his tumultous past. Turning to Nerwen, he accepted the potion from her with a hearty 'thank you'. There was still a fight that needed finishing, however; he was ready to attack Elite Archer C from the front row. Quote

"Skrall, I don't know about you, but I for one don't intend to let Wren have her way with Ella; whatever she has planned, it bodes ill." Tanma Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) IC: De'kra turned towards the approaching Arthur and clicked, "You are right, someone has to try to help her. Emperor might be main objective, but Ella is person too. Enact what you can, and any luck Chimera guards will follow heroes and I to emperor. And with multiple healers heroes and I would have better chance of victory. Just...be careful Nuparu." Edited July 31, 2012 by Tanma Quote
Chromeknight Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Denarii nodded and dove in with her stone knife from the front row. Nerwen listened to the chatter about what to do with the heroes in the front room of the palace. She asked, Alexandre, what is an enpeesy?why does that mean we should not worry about Ella? Quote
