I really hope it is okay to "necro" this thread, but i really enjoyed going through it this sunday and watching all the videos :classic:.

Maybe we can get this thread going again, here are some videos i shot this weekend in my living room .

(Sorry for bumping an old thread, but i thought why start a new one when there already is a nice one!)

EDIT: Fixed the links

@JopieK I think this thread needs to be re-pinned.... I thought it was at one point, but it isn't anymore. It's just too awesome not to keep up top!

@Eki1210 Awesome trains, I especially love the 10333 BNSF loco backdated to Burlington Northern "Cascade Green"! I've seen a few MOD's of the 2011 Maersk engine to that color scheme, but not the original 2004 set. Fantastic work!

Can we consider (maybe rename?) this to be the place to share our regular, casual, temporary layouts? picture and/or video? Because I like to see other "casual" layouts very much (equally like sharing) and would otherwise be tempted to create an own thread to collect videos or photos :-)

Here is my weekend activity. We moved to a bigger place and I could finally get out all my train stuff and build a layout including FX Tracks' R72 and R88 curves. Didn't use many of my straights so I am already looking forward to next time and building less of a "compact" and more of an "around-the-house" layout. :pir-huzzah1:

PS: Batteries needed: 0 :pir-huzzah2:

Feel free to comment!

@Sunil766 that looks like a fantastic layout, watching the City Passenger Train speed around those generous curves was mesmerising and I love your station set up.

If there isn't one already, maybe we could start a dedicated "casual layouts" thread?

I would support that :classic:

Really nice seeing the fx-tracks in action, i used them in my layout too. The sound of 9V boogies on metall rails is just nice!

@ColletArrow, it's really nice to see those lovely big curves in action. Sadly, I have no room for them:  my layout space was designed for standard Lego curves, and besides, I have books and boxes stacked on parts, and modular buildings instead of track. It's not really a layout anymore.  :cry_sad:

I really enjoyed seeing all your trains running like that.  I've got all those too, but I will say that I think the Santa Fe would be better if you had an A-B-A set and a couple more cars!

Nice idea! Two alternatives: Start a new thread (easy) ...

... or pester @JopieK :pir-huzzah2:

Either way is fine with me.

Best,
Thorsten
