Asphalt Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Mack Donauld watches the strange newcomer arrive. Speakin o' Beasties. Boy what is that thing on your belly? Neverymind, I don't rightly think I want to know. You city dwellers have some mighty strange ways. So have Y'all decided on a place to begin? You can head to the Windmill, the Meadow, the Corn Maze, the orchard, the Punkin patch, or the Riverbank. QM Note-I will give Skeleton a little bit of time after you decide on a starting point. But if we haven't heard from him by this evening I will post the first location. Just tell me where you want to begin. Quote

Asphalt Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 QM note: Each QM likes things a little different, but for this quest could you use this formatting so I can keep things straight easier. "Use a colored font when your Character Speaks" Use italics for action descriptions and BOLD for decisions. For Example If it were up to me, I say we Go North. Jim knelt next to the butchered Red Shirt. Why did you have to kill him? He just got here. Jim Attacks the Thoresian from the Back Row with his Magical Whistle. Quote

MysticModulus Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) Anyone up for poultry with mulled wine? I'll take on that Feral Hen, maybe Torald could go for the Scarecrow? Ezeran grabs his staff and attacks the feral hen from the back row. Sensing darkness eminating from the scarecrow Ezeran turns back to Torald again. Or maybe you should take out those pesky phoenix-looking excuses for canaries, the power of the scarecrow is no match for me. Edited March 11, 2016 by MysticModulus Quote
BountyBeast Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 "The skeleton guy never showed up, eh? Oh well, we can start the party without him. Or her. I could never really tell." Hunkan turns to the canaries, ignoring the chicken and scarecrow because his comrades can handle them. Grinning with confidence, he brandishes his sword and attacks one of the canaries from the front row. Quote
Asphalt Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 QM Note: Mostly for the new folks since this is your first battle. You choose an enemy, a weapon, and a row to attack from. If you attack from the back row you both give and take half damage. Any enemy not targeted will get a free hit on the party starting with the first person in the battle order. Party leader keep this in mind. Quote

After that, we'll take out the hen and then the scarecrow. Ezeran, you absorb darkness, can you take the free hit from the scarecrow? Palathadric Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I attack Canary#2 from the back row. "Ooh, an evil knight, we must slay him at once, with all alacrity!" In truth, as low-leveled as we are, I think the best policy is to hit the weakest areas and try to complete as many battles as possible. It's not as if we have a healer. I'm fine with anything though. Quote

Lucky for the rest of them the crazed bird flees the battle, before anyone else can be drummed down. This leaves the final three heroes to face off against the terror of the Scarecrow. The young knight and clever thief learn learn why these things are the tales of nightmares. Petaldan shakes in terror, while Hunkan cowers behind an especially dense path of stalks.
