K-Nut Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Althior prepares two blasts of water to throw at the Dragon from the back row. Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Xander grits his teeth, sizing up the dragon. He equips his Electro Gear in place of the Marksman's Hat, and then attacks the dragon from the back row using the hand cannon. No need to do both. Just use the handcannon and attack twice Quote
posades Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 No need to do both. Just use the handcannon and attack twice Xander hears Benji's words, keeping the Hat on and instead attacking again from the back row.. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 "Master Carvenhall, the three Lucky heroes can easily deal more than the 252 Damage per Round we need to deal in order to take the dragon down before the point where it's guaranteed to use its second Special. In fact, Master Unth'or can get close to that mark on one of his normal Hits alone. At this point at the beginning of the battle, there's no need for you to risk attacking." Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 (edited) "Alright, but its disappointing for me. I was looking forward to beating this big baddy to a pulp. Maybe later on I'll have a chance to shoot at him a bit." Benji uses a grand potion on whoever that was damaged on both turns. Otherwise, throws a water bomb. Alrightee! Let the first round begin! Brickdoctor Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 OoC: Use a Water Bomb instead of doing nothing if there's no one who needs healing. OoC: Also, posades, you can't roll Aim with the Precision Bow, but you can with the Hand Cannon. With all your multipliers, the difference between Aim and Hit is significant. (12+26)*3*2=228 normal Damage on a Precision Bow Hit/Aim, (9*2*3*2=108 Lightning-elemental Damage on a Handcannon Aim. Not sure if I missed something there in the calculations, but I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to stick with the Precision Bow or use one Turn to equip the Electro Gear and then attack with the Precision Bow. (456 Lightning-elemental Damage on a Hit/Aim) Quote

posades Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 OoC: I figured it was a toss up, either waste a potential big hit by switching to Electro Gear, or spend a turn and do guaranteed good damage from here on out. With me being lucky, I'm crossing my fingers that Aim doesn't come into play too much, and hopefully I can favor Fire within the first couple rounds. Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 OoC: Alright, so it doesn't really matter. Feel free to roll, CMP Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 You added an extra *2 to the bow's calcultions. OoC: Encouraged. Quote
Flare Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 OoC: Encouraged. OoC: Oh yeah, you're right. Alright, but he will definitely get more damage in with a normal hit. Since he's lucky, its more likely he'll get in a hit than an aim Quote
posades Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 OoC: So a minimum 400 or so damage with the bow/gear? Gah, guess I'll do that then. Xander once again changes his mind, equipping the Electro Gear first instead of the Hat, then attacking the dragon from the back row with his bow. Quote
