I was just at Walmart and nothing. Is it with the Easter stuff?

I wish the poly was blue, I really like the blue guys.

I checked my local Walmart and Target today and they had none in stock.

I'll check TRU's later in the week.

I still think a battle pack would be a hot seller. One of Buggoids and one of Squaddies. I'd buy the heck out of a Squaddie pack.

Or four different BPs, each featuring one squaddie from a different team, maybe also a team robot sidekick, and either three (if it includes the robot) or four (if not) different bugs - each BP featuring a different 'special' bug (Buggoid Elite, Armored Roachoid, etc...)

Friends is just a rehash of Belville and Paradisa though. It's nothing new or radical.

Umm, Friends has next to nothing to do with Belville other than occasional similarities in subject matter, and it even stands out from Paradisa a great deal (in particular, downtown Heartlake City has a very distinctive style of architecture that is a huge departure from Paradisa's less colorful, differently-shaped "resort buildings"). LEGO Friends is also heavily character-driven compared to Paradisa, which had no named characters. You could easily call Galaxy Squad a rehash of Mars Mission with this kind of argument-- after all, it's human astronauts in futuristic spaceships versus organically-styled alien spacecraft piloted by little green men.

LEGO Friends obviously took inspiration from some of the same sources as Paradisa and Belville, but that doesn't make it unoriginal, any more than it makes LEGO Atlantis unoriginal for drawing inspiration from similar sources to Aqua Raiders and earlier underwater themes. Variations on a theme can still be considered original if they're designed from the ground up rather than simply a modification to a previous theme.

Are you stalking me? You're making a point of disagreeing with my posts. I've grown tired of it and I suggest you don't bother in future as I'm choosing to add you to my ignore list. End of discussion. :sadnew:

Actually no^

I live in Bulgaria and today the store for lego (not TLG store sadly :( ) got some of the sets so i picked up warp stinger and space swarmer ,since i need enemies for my custom galaxy squad vehicles and base.I can say that both sets are very good ,even if i lately prefer only big stuff ,the two sets suit my taste.I have made a dropship 48cm long and 40 cm wide(wings) for the red squad and here i can make a battle scene where the space swarmer attaches to the top of the dropship and starts to destroy its wings.I really need 2 more from those bugs so that they can be placed everywhere on the dropship.I'm planning to modify the warp stinger and make it moveable ,with better arms so that it can be a ground vehicle too (crawing vehicle). But i still havent got an idea of how to make the body move w/o reducing its measure .Also both are good army makers ,i cant wait until bricklink has them on low price (2nd hand ,even only the alien vehicle)

EDIT:Forgot to mention that ,if someone who uses bricklink and wants to buy the sets in europe ,there is a store named (Homebrick) its a Czech republic store .I'm not advertising, just trying to help :).

So, the large bugs in the Eradicator Mech set (coupled with the lack of minifigure-sized bugs) helps confirm my theory (well, more my visualization of the continuity of this theme--I doubt that this is something LEGO is actually doing) that these bugs are the Bilgin Bugs from Insectoids (although I, as a kid growing up in the USA, just got the generic creepy-invader backstory for Insectoids, I much prefer the other story where the Zotaxian refugees have to disguise their craft as giant bugs to avoid being killed by the giant bugs on the planet they now inhabit). In my modest Galaxy Squad setup (I only have the two smallest sets), I have a Zotaxian alongside the Galaxy Squad--the way I have it set up, a Zotaxian scout flew out to warn people that the Bilgin bugs are on the move.

Nice little backstory. LEGO's is probably just a simple bugs attack, shoot flick-fire missiles! concept with no real explanation what the bugs are or why they're attacking.

Found the Orange Team Polybag (whatever it's called. The little four-legged spider mech) at Walmart. Decided to pick it up because I'm really starting to like this theme even more than I did previously.Anywho, it's a cute little thing. Not much going on with it, but it's enjoyable to fiddle around with.

So, yeah, like I said this theme is growing on me. I really thought I'd be into Chima moreso, but from what I've seen at Toyfair, most of my money is going toward Galaxy Squad. From Chima I really only want the Gorilla Mech as opposed to Galaxy Squad where I want pretty much all the sets.

Likewise. After seeing the less-than-stellar Chima pilot, I had hoped that they'd produce a Gorilla Mech. Having seen the Toyfair pics, I'm going to pass on it. Alas, more money for the, IMHO, superior second wave of Galaxy Squad sets. Currently, I have all but the mantis set, which I may grab if it goes on sale at some point. Great theme overall, and a nice return to Space.

Still, I keep wishing for a return, or a reboot, of Classic Space based sets, with blues, whites, and greys.

I found a bunch of 30230 "Mini Mech" yesterday (along with 30161 "Batmobile", 30213 "Gandalf at Dol Goldur, 30222 "Police Helicopter", 30254 "Razcal's Double-Crosser" and 30240 "Z-95 Headhunter") at my Walmart in Fishkill, NY. They were NOT in the LEGO aisle, nor the Easter aisle. They were, oddly enough, on the other side of the bike racks on the endcap of the LEGO Friends aisle that faced the back wall of the store, top to bottom (about 12 to 14 boxes of them, two polys per box).

Must be like TRU over here. Different stores get different stock depending on how affluent the area is the store is in. Actually it's the same with ASDA which is Walmart owned. I guess the idea is to make you visit more than one store hoping you'll end up buying more stuff than you wanted as you trawl through the aisles of hell.

Found the Space Insectoid Poly at the local Toys R Us for $3.49. I was very pleased to see it for that price, being that the set, not to mention the polybag itself, is smaller than the typical Polybag set you see nowadays.

HoHoHo! Also found some at a TRU near by! (San Rafael, CA):

Time to start building that squad of Galaxy Marines:

Can't say I'm too impressed with the insectoid... All those parts are going straight to the project bin.

^ Yeah, but try finding a 1x4 tile in Trans Bright Green anywhere else - new in this set! That's worth the price of admission right there.

30231 "Space Insectoid" is a freebie at TRU now with a $20 LEGO purchase (in The States, anyway - maybe Canada?). It's available for ordering online again, and even applies to the freebie offer, so if you bought $20 worth of this guy, you'd get another one for free.

I hope the Insectoid will be available in the LEGO store nearest to me. I'm probably going to buy all Galaxy Squad sets in one go so I can have the fun of making a 400+ euro LEGO purchase. I've figured out a way so I can buy my favorite (actually, all) Galaxy Squad sets and still have some money left for Hero Factory and Ninjago (of which I've almost got everything already).

If you can do that then you are very lucky. Between buying modulars, city, the new castle theme and at least one TMNT set (I just want a turtle) I don't know how much of this wave I will get. I'll try though.
