Siercon and Coral Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Cortana has long been one of our favorite characters in the halo series, so we wanted to portray her as a holographic translucent mosaic. So this is what we came up with :D Tell us what you think. Video LInk! Here's a close up of the gear system and the helix rows that make up the mosaic. Also, you can read a full and more detailed description at MosaicBricks showing lots of the techniques and boring sciency stuff one might want to know to create a holographic mosaic. :) Edited December 21, 2012 by Siercon and Coral Quote

Si-MOCs Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 I've said this before, and I'll say it again, you two are by far the most creative LEGO builders. Ever. This is just another example of innovation. Quote
vynsane Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Woah. This is pure insanity. The video incredibly shows off the engineering necessary to pull this off! Quote
gedren_y Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) Inspired! Now I'm tempted to spend my holiday money on trans-(color) 1x1 plates. Any plans to take this to a convention? If you could, I would suggest MegaCon. I'm betting there'd be some kind of award for this. Edited December 23, 2012 by gedren_y Quote
