Collectable Minifigure stands

So what does everyone do with the stands you get in every collectible minifigure? Using them to display figures is obvious, but I'm sure most of us have a surplus of minifigure stands.

I have no use for them over than displaying my rare figures, and so have several towers of black plates.

This might sound ridiculous, but I don't have enough CMF display plates. I buy Collectible Minifigures for parts only, and use the stands for my minifigures on my display shelves. I was using black 2x4 plates with technic holes, but then I swapped a few out for CMF stands and now I'm a couple hundred short.

I've been slowly using them to build a Death Star floor. I have my Millennium Falcon on a 64 x 64 plate (which still isn't big enough for the Falcon!). The Death Star had a shiny black tiled floor, so the minifigure stands are a close approximation. It still leaves row after row of studs on the floor, but it's something.

I actually bought a bunch of them to eventually make a roof. They make really cool shingles when overlapped.

I've made a gun out of them, and when I'm bored or watching a film (I need to keep my hands busy for some reason when watching a film) I make them into a tower, a pyramid and a staff :D

I actually considered buying more for my display stands. I have CMF, but other Licensed figures on display also, so I need something to put them on as well.

I've thought of that too. I don't have enough to make a roof out of them though.

They also make interesting stairs.
