Mandate Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 They've basically abandoned the Samurai Car anyway. The MechDragon practically destroyed the road and blocked the way for the car, they had to ditch it and go on foot, despite Lloyd being able to power the weapons to destroy it, but then again, Garmy wouldn't allow the use of weapons and who knows if it would re-power the Mech due to the cannon being powered by Lloyd Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Thanks Corydoras for the information on the upcoming sets. Did you see if there is a secondary model in the X-1 Charger set? In other words, do the nindroids chasing the red ninja vehicle have a vehicle of their own and if so, what is it? Are you able to recall any other details of the X-1 set? Also, were there any other sets or polybags in the summer 2014 prelims that you saw? Edited January 18, 2014 by TPLSTER21 Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 It's a spare Samurai Mech. I wouldn't be surprised if she had another one. Will the Mech be showing up again in the show? If so, they could still make money off the set. Indeed they have, instead of being discontinued last month with everything 2012 Ninjago (Spinners, Serpentine vehicles, etc.) the Samurai Mech and Lasha's Fang cycle are currently labeled "retiring soon" which means we should have another month or so to get them Also, the Ultra Sonic Raider and (thank god!) Epic Dragon battle will be available all through this year! Quote
Corydoras Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I imagine Samurai X will have the same design she has on her characters page, regardless of what the prelims look like. That new design, with printed torso armor and the ZX Ninja shoulderpads, is very definitely the sort of thing that is likely to have been designed for a set. Very likely, as I remember her holding two katana swords. Thanks Corydoras for the information on the upcoming sets. Did you see if there is a secondary model in the X-1 Charger set? Also, were there any other sets or polybags in the summer 2014 prelims that you saw? The nindroids have two small flying... thingies. A jetpack and a speeder if I remember correctly. No more details, I'm afraid - the picture was bad quality - but the set definitely has a Speed Racer vibe to it. I only saw preliminary boxarts for these two sets, no polys. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Isn't the London Toy Fair this week? Quote
just2good Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Isn't the London Toy Fair this week? Indeed, it starts Wednesday. We don't get pictures there, though. Next week is the Nuremberg Toy Fair, and that's where we'll get a couple pictures. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 If I remember correctly we got a picture if the Lion Temple last year didn't we? Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 That's because it was a Best Toy of the Year thing, it was in articles of the Toy Fair. -Sci Quote
Lego Spy Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I take there's picture taking restrictions at the London Toy Fair? Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I take there's picture taking restrictions at the London Toy Fair? Not necessarily. Inside the booth, yes, but people have taken aerial pictures above the booth, and you can just barely see through the cloth that covers the top or the booth. -Sci Quote

CM4Sci Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I think I remember those from last year, lots of small colored blobs to speculate on. Haha, yep! But then later, we get videos from the fair's official YT channel showcasing all the minifigures and sets. -Sci Quote
Mesonak Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The hype levels are rising... Man, Toy Fair is always quite the exciting time of year. XD Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 So, if I understand this correctly, Agents is getting tHe overlord? Or did the person who made the report, not inculde a Ninjago part and accdidently mixed it with Ultra Agents Quote

Or did the person who made the report, not inculde a Ninjago part and accdidently mixed it with Ultra Agents Very likely, but hey, cross-theme characters/plot is gladly accepted. It does screw with the story though... Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Yeah it does...I wouldn't mind and Inter-Lego-cross-universe-super-mega-Overlord-is the ultimate bad guy thing...sounds like Lego Universe... Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 So the toy fair report said ninjago would continue in 2015 and beyond. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Not exactly, but it did say the overlord would appear in the Ultra agents theme. Correction Ninjago will continue past 2015 according to the BrickReport!!!!! Edited January 21, 2014 by LegendsOfNinjago Quote
DraikNova Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 !!YESSSSSS!!! *Fanboy moment over* I'm wondering how they'll keep up the reputation of insanity Ninjago has built up. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I was thinking the same thing...we know that Ninjago is getting a movie much like the Lego Movie. Plus, a the series has already hit random points...skeletons, snakes, stone warriors, and Robots, so it has alot of room I think. I just hope that TLG doesn't push it to far... Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be THE OverLord, just the leader of the villains. I really doubt OverLord would become that desperate Quote
DraikNova Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Next wave ideas: chitinous mountainbikes (for insect-themed villains), a velociraptor-themed tank or a fish-like helicopter. That's more or less the standard Ninjago has to uphold. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Ok, to be honest, I'm not that thrilled about Ninjago continuing. What else is there to do? The story is over and done with, just end it here and now. -Sci Quote
legoIgor123 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Not so much on topic: So the OverLord becomes that desperate for power that he gives up with Ninjago and moves to Ultra Agents? Wow! Does this mean theres a tiny chance we'll see our favourite five ninja in another world? Back a bit on topic: If NInjago goes into 2015 (and beyond) this gives us at least 5 years, let me say that again 5 YEARS!! Who thinks they will make it to the ten year mark? Completely back on topic: The Summer sets pictures are pretty good from what I can see. Any chance of new ninja outfits? At the moment it's like this: Jay: 7 Kai: 7 Cole: 7 Zane: 8 Lloyd: 5 Let's see if they can get any further with that. Quote
