clonebricksNL Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Guess who returned to B&M this time I bought 70703 Star Slicer and 50006 Legends of Chima Board Game for £16.99 and £9.99 respectively! They have the same price on the site also when i go to the Uk i will probably take a look at the b&m :)
clonebricksNL Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 They have the same price on the site also when i go to the Uk i will probably take a look at the b&m :) Was this a bargain B&M or a normal B&M for home and garden?
clonebricksNL Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 ^ Bargain B&M. Thanks i will sure take a look while i'm in the Uk :)
Sir Brickalot Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Thanks i will sure take a look while i'm in the Uk :) It'll be worth it! Check out the B&M website as well, has a few sets on there.
HenrikLego Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 How about this! A LOT of Lego Classic Space + a lot of other old Lego for 100$ I have managed to identify most of the Classic Space sets so far: 6927 - All Terrain Vehicle 306 - Two Lunar Landing Plates 6950 - Mobile Rocket Transport 6970 - Beta 1 Command Base 6930 - Space Supply Station 918 - Space Transport 928 - Galaxy Explorer As I count up the Space-minifigs I still got 5 left (2 white and 3 red) so I guess there are some more smaller sets here as well.
elleana Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Nice haul! I can see one of the yellow minifigs has a cracked helmet
HenrikLego Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Many of the helmets are in fact broken in front. A pity. I also got two of those antennas with spikes. One of them is complete but the other one has one spike missing. The flag post with sticker is in excellent condition. All the space-printed bricks are in very good condition, some of the minifgs have faded prints. All baseplates are in very good condition. All of it STINKS, and many bricks are very dirty. Some parts are a bit discolored. I hope a good nice cleaning will do them good. I identified another set as well: 6870 - Space Probe Launcher. If anyone can identify any other sets I would be very happy! So far 2 red and 2 white minifigs missing a set! :)
Legogal Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Wow! A fantastic haul! I remember building many of those sets with my very young son in the Nineties. It seems that many sellers of used products have no sense of smell and have no idea how seriously those of us with highly developed noses are offended by any smell. I just sent back a really smelly, expensive and rare cloth toy sold as "new" on eBay, and the seller admitted she had almost no sense of smell offering a full refund including the return shipping charge. Now I know to ask if the item has stains, tears, odors, was exposed to smoke or pets, or is mildewed among other things. Phew! If I were a seller (I give away most of our no longer wanted items with just a handful of Craigslist sales over the past decade), the first thing on my list would be not to buy or sell anything with an odor unless it is supposed to smell and I like the scent as with the new Corolle doll signature scent of vanilla. I especially abhor receiving clothing that reeks of Tide detergent and is wrapped in a smelly sheet of dryer fabric. We try to live in a scent free home for the most part, and these items go straight outside on the porch for weeks after multiple soaking and wash cycles fail to remove the scents. Yuck!
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Wow, TRU is going nuts on the clearance. I found Harry Potter and a bunch of the Heroica games for under $4 each. They also has Lego MBA Kits 2 and 3 for $25, which I think is normally $40.
Zanki Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I managed to grab set 4432 today in Morrisons for £6. I spotted it on the shelf near the back and grabbed it. I knew it was an old set, thought it might have been reduced and got lucky at the till!
8BrickMario Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 This one's a tossup. I was lucky to find 6862 Superman vs. Power Armor Lex at a TRU since they've been phased out by LEGO, but I was unlucky because the price had risen to 30 dollars. I still got it and I am pleased.
TheRedViper Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Managed to win a brand new 100% complete orc forge on eBay for £20!
Sir Brickalot Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 The Master Of B&M Bargains Has Returned I picked up the LOTR board game for £12.99.
TheLegoDr Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I just posted in the what did you buy today thread, but I'm pretty pleased about the purchase. I snagged a really cheap Mega Core Magnetizer on eBay recently for less than half of what the cheapest on bricklink is going for. I saw the price and had to go for it. I've been wanting to bricklink it lately, but it would cost about double what I paid just to piece it together. I am quite pleased. It looks like a fun model and my daughter enjoyed playing with it. It is one of the few M:Tron sets I didn't have as a kid.
Hive Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Managed to win a brand new 100% complete orc forge on eBay for £20! That's a pretty nice score, I must say.
Sam892 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I just got the Knowhere Escape missionfor £17.99 which is pretty awesome. TESCOs are selling it for £34.99 and when you use vouchers online they double there worth, so I managed to get £27 off altogether.
obsidianheart Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Wal-Mart's website had the new Ultra Agents Mobile HQ for $30 less than regular retail, but they've pulled it. Fortunately, I was able to order one before that.
Sir Brickalot Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I found a Crocodile Legend Beast for £3.50 and Escape from Mirkwood Spiders for £12 on clearance in Asda, so I snapped them up! Also, one of my best finds ever, in a charity shop: 2kg of Lego for £4! Most of it was Bionicle, I will post some pics soon!
Captain Nemo Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Although it wasn't a deal, I did find something extra today after I opened my new Lego Movie Super Secret Police Dropship set. When I dumbed out all the bags, there was an extra robo-swat head just rolling around in the box! It wasn't from any of the bags, as none of them were ripped, rather it was truly just an extra price loose in the box. On the downside however one of my other Swat robots mysteriously disappeared today when I was trying to gather my larger robo forces today. The brick gods work in mysterious ways...
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I found the Lego Creationary Booster Pack at TRU for six cents today. You read that right: six cents. It's not the world's greatest find, but we enjoy Creationary and we've probably already gone through all the cards.
Fritzy Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I found the Lego Creationary Booster Pack at TRU for six cents today. You read that right: six cents. That's nuts, especially considering where you found it. Enjoy!
Xyver Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 An AFOL friend just picked up a bargain, the likes of which many in our LUG had never seen: From what she has shown in photos, she picked up: Cafe Corner Green Grover Creator: Model Town House Emerald Night Red Cargo Train Red Passenger Train Hogwarts Express White passenger train Slave 1 boats, planes and various other City, creator and Star Wars sets. All for the amazingly low price of $500 (Australian!!!) she felt so bad, she gave the woman an extra $100 when she went back for the second load as she couldn't fit it all in the first load - and she has an 8 seater van! Needless to say, we are all VERY jealous, she already has way too much Lego, but does create some amazing displays, so it is all going to a good home.
Sir Brickalot Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 ^ Woah. I've almost finished sorting through my box from the charity shop, and I've managed to complete 13 bionicle sets, give or take a few missing pieces. Great find, later on I'm going charity shop hunting!
