Japanbuilder Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) Yes! Bring us some Rebels to the big screen! Speaking of Rebels I hope we get to see something awesome soon mid season. These filler-sodes where things only barely inch forward are getting to be a bit much. Though I do like the tone this last one set. Hopefully, it all goes downhill from here on out until the final climactic season finale. I don't know how much longer they can drag this out without no one from the core crew ceasing to be at some point. Which leads me to another rebels aside...I hope LEGO releases a set with Zeb in it at some point. I can't find the Ghost set for less than 300 bucks where I am and I need Zeb to round out my Rebels crew >< Edited December 7, 2016 by Japanbuilder Quote

I can't find the Ghost set for less than 300 bucks where I am and I need Zeb to round out my Rebels crew >< Mid season starts January 7 after a couple week wait. Part One The crew returns to Geonosis in search of a missing rebel team sent to investigate suspicious activity there, and are surprised by what they find.[1] Part Two After finding a missing rebel team member, the Ghost crew discovers another surprise on Geonosis, and work to conceal it from Imperial forces.[2] That is the description of the mid season premiere. Called Ghosts of Geonosis. Quote

Was I the only one who saw that and said HOLY CRAP ITS THE GHOST!? You don't even need to play back the video.. it's right there in the thumbnail. It could be any VCX-100 light freighter thought... but I'm okay that they are giving us subtle hints. Quote

Yes combined with the Hammerheads from Season 2 in Rogue One, it seems they are hinting that Phoenix Squad somewhere along the line became part of the main Rebellion. It is true it could be just any VCX-100; but alongside the Hammerheads makes me think there could be more to it. If it is though supposed to be a small Easter egg, I appreciate it. Seeing a VCX-100 on screen has made me feel the same way I really when I saw a screenshot showing the Starspeeder 1000 in Episode VII. I love seeing these more obscure ships get screen time! I also love how HUGE the VCX-100 looks in Live Action. It helps give me a new sense of scale for the Ghost in the cartoon. It definitely dwarfs the X-Wings in that shot. Quote
ChiefPie Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Just watched visions and voices. I really enjoyed it. I won't spoil it but we find out the answer to who maul is looking for which is obvious and Ezra's answer was not what I expected it was going to be. But I can definitely see how Ezra's answer to how to defeat the sith would be the right answer. I'm now expecting the season finale to be revolving around the answer instead of Thrawns trap for the rebels. Quote

The answer to Ezra's answer is a person, that the imperials do not know is still alive, and is someone we know. Thrawn is slowly making a plan to destroy the rebels at once which has nothing to do with the person. Of course if they were both related then it would be interesting to see how the story writers place the person back to the spot we find him in ep 4. If anyone wants to see the episode before it aires you can find it on putlocker. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 (edited) What if... Obi-Wan ...is the key to destroying the Sith because... Rey's his descendant? Edited December 11, 2016 by Sir Gareth Quote
ChiefPie Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 No but obviously it's his use to be Padawan. Rebels recon at the end has caused me to be even more impatient for the second half of the season.. Never thought I'd say this but DECEMBER PLEASE END QUICKLY! Quote

Hide contents Rey's his descendant? My theory is the whole thing was an ROTJ forward-flash. Since you know that person leads to that one person who leads to that showdown in ROTJ that leads to you know...that whole thing with the Sith. By EPVII There are no more Sith right? Just the whatevers of Ren. Ezra's continued error here is in using labels. The Force simply is, neither he nor anyone can stop the dark side from manifesting since Light has Darkness for a blanket. On the episode at first I was disappointed in it since in substance I did not find much different about this episode than The Holocrons of Fate episode. But after digesting it a bit I grew to like it a bit more. Now one wonders what Sabine is gonna do with her pick-up item there heh heh. Might make for an interesting filler later. Quote
makoy Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 They could have easily merged the latest episode with the Holocrons of Fate Episode but I think the writers needed to separate them to show more character development. As this season is supposed to focus more on Sabine's character I am pleased that... Spoiler ... Sabine has now the possession of the darksaber! And both the Rebels and Maul knows Obi Wan Kenobi survived order 66. I'm excited for the 2nd half on season 3 because by the time SW Rebels resume many people have seen Rogue One -- and there could be more easter eggs or direct connections linking the movie and the TV series together because we know both Rogue One and SW Rebels happen at around the same time. Looking forward to 2017! Quote
Oky Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 You were right, @makoy, there are indeed many connections between Rebels and Rogue One! Here are all the Rebels easter eggs in the movie: http://nerdist.com/star-wars-rebels-easter-eggs-in-rogue-one/ And look who's coming to SW Rebels later this season! Spoiler http://movieweb.com/rogue-one-star-wars-rebels-season-3-saw-gerrera/ Quote
makoy Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Thanks for the link @Oky I saw it the other day and I thought it was very well executed. Rebels Recon in Star Wars Youtube channel kind of hinted there will be elements of Rogue One in the next season of Star Wars Rebels. :) Quote
Forresto Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 (edited) Well this should be interesting. Kallus hates Saw for what happened to his men on Onderon, so if the rebels team up with him... Woah. What if Kallus defects back to the Empire but the Rebels dont know it? That would be a greag twist on a twist. Edited December 19, 2016 by Forresto Quote

makoy Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 I watched the vid earlier this morning and it amazes me how The Star Wars Rebels acts like a creative sandbox for the story writers and creative directors. As for Forest Whitaker's resemblance... some would argue it's not like him... but if you refer to the younger Saw in Rogue One, it looks like him. I think people remember the older and crazier version of him. Quote
ChiefPie Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 The thing with Saw is that he has green eyes in TCW and Rebels but not in Rogue One. Quote
Tariq j Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Just saw the latest episodes. The shift in tone is great, and its great to see Thrawn get in on the action here. I think he's developed an interesting tactic of knowing exactly what's going on but not choosing to act, and it'll be interesting to see whether that works towards or against his favour. Quote

makoy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 That part about the announcement is easier to spot in my local theater because they put subtitles for local language. It's harder to spot Chooper because he is in the lower left corner of the screen and he moves quickly off screen in less than 1 second. Quote
Krulis Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) New trailer: Words cannot describe how excited I am. Edited January 4, 2017 by Krulis Quote
makoy Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 ...there's just so much to digest in the mid-season trailer... I'm speechless! Quote
ChiefPie Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 The trailer was great! I'm so glad to see more of the death troopers! Mandos are always fun and I can't wait to see Sabines arc. Tie defender looks great though small. I was surprised that Thrawn actually trains for combat. Excited to see obi wan and maul. Can't wait for this Saturday!! Quote
