Palathadric Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) "I would not consider it a weapon, except I think some dried blood on it. And of course, if you set them down, I would let you try on my hat....please see reason, your fellows have done as we wish, will not you? I simply want to maintain the peace here, and we're all unarmed." "Of course, of course, I understand entirely. You see, my cross has certain healing properties as I am a medic of sorts, so I can touch people with injuries and restore their health, but being that everyone is unarmed here and so that no one will get the wrong impression, I will gladly put it down." I lean my Cross of Light against the building. Sorry guys, I meant to do this much earlier. Edited July 1, 2013 by Palathadric
Myrddyn Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 "Thanks, Pretzel, thanks Baron." Erik looks over at the lady in white. "What've you got for sale, miss?"

I lean my Cross of Light against the building. "Aha, see? We can all be reasonable, can't we? Now, I think it'd be best if we all went back to our lives...no need to crowd the new guests, is there? The majority of the population shuffles out of the mushroom, shrugging. The Baron nods and smiles to the party as he departs. "Now, I'm sure I can help to solve any questions you might have involving Zylstra. Come see me in my office when you're ready - that is, the gray building. And don't worry, my friend, you'll see the inside of my hat yet, hehah!" "Thanks, Pretzel, thanks Baron." Erik looks over at the lady in white. "What've you got for sale, miss?" "My stock is back at the shop - the little brown building, can't miss it. Swing by when you get a chance, I've got all sorts of things! Name's Shelby, by the way/" The gnome is the last to exit the mushroom, leaving only two.
Myrddyn Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Erik looks towards the two gnomes in the mushroom. "Hello. My names Erik." Edited July 2, 2013 by Myrddyn
Palathadric Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Diplomacy is in. "Greeting, gnome friends. How long have you dwelt in Zylstra? What is this room we're in? It's shape is that of a mushroom, but is it just a gathering place, a bar, or what is its function? By the way, the name is Monk Pretzel." I offer my hand to the small folk.
CMP Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Erik looks towards the two gnomes in the mushroom. "Hello. My names Erik." "Rollo, town digger. Pleased to...er...well, it's interestin' to meet a human, anyhow." "Vinum. Bartender. Care for a drink?" Diplomacy is in. "Greeting, gnome friends. How long have you dwelt in Zylstra? I offer my hand to the small folk. "Just about everyone here was born down here - save me. I come from the Nathuz mountain range. Hell of a place, but not one for heights. As for The Sluice, don't be fooled - she's just as much a mushroom as the Baron's ego is big. She's a bar....though I can't say I serve much." Vinum shakes Pretzel's hand vigorously. The Sluice Tonic - Restores 5 ether to target. Costs 19 gold. Soma – Causes the blessed-effect, allowing the target to recover 3 health at the end of each round for the duration of one battle. Costs 33 gold. Neutralizer - Removes all temporary effects from all allies and all opponents. Costs 29 gold. Spider Venom - Use on a weapon to make it cause the Posioned and Slowed effects for the duration of one battle. Costs 67 gold.
Myrddyn Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Diplomacy also. "Huh. Well, I'm afraid I don't have much money on me, so I'll pass on drinks. Pleasure to be of interest. What exactly does a town digger do? And how long has Zylstra been around?"

Used to clear out some of the sewers too, but we hardly ever leave Zylstra anyway. It's been here for around twelve or thirteen decades, I think."
Palathadric Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 "I have to wonder what is the use for that venom among this peaceful society? I regret to say that, though your prices are good, I do not have tremendous need at this point for any of these items. I appreciate your offer though." I turn to my party and say, "If any of you fellows are interested in buying something I'd be willing to loan you the money to do so." I turn back to Vinum. "Have you tasted one of these before?" I pull out a potion.

A bit sour in my opinion."
Palathadric Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 "Fantastic! You think people would be interested in them down here? I normally sell them for 10 gold a piece, but I would certainly consider giving you a discount."

Palathadric Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 "Are they cheaper down here than above ground? You'd be surprised how high prices have gotten in some places."

Dannylonglegs Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Sylph nudged Pretzel. "Ask about Padfoot already."
Palathadric Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Sylph nudged Pretzel. "Ask about Padfoot already." I mutter back, "I will. Patience is key."
Palathadric Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I use Diplomacy, just for the sake of it and, you know, because I can. "Vinum, as a barman you must know everyone in these parts. I once met a gnome who called himself Posco Padfoot, you wouldn't happen to know him, would you? I believe he hangs around these parts."

"Your help is invaluable, I shall surely go and speak to the baron," I say in a quieter tone. I then whisper Diplomatically, "What's he like? You don't seem the most fond of him." I'll give you four coins for each bone, a hundred for that armor, ten for that bomb, and thirty for each claw...what did those come off of, anyway...?" Shelby trails off, poking the Progg claw.
