Myrddyn Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) Erik rubs his face and his chin with one hand. "A bit less than I could get in some other places, but not by much... Hmm..." he mumbles. "Sorry, miss, I'll just chat about it with my companions here." He turns to Dreyrugr. "I got the impression you were looking at becoming an assassin, and I'd rather not kill most'a my humanoid opponents anyways. You interested in that armour?" He glances around the rest of the party. "Any o' you guys buyin' that diamond? If not, maybe you could do me a loan towards it?" Edited July 5, 2013 by Myrddyn
Dannylonglegs Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 "That scroll looks powerful... I will buy it." Stated Sylph. "But, would you consider droping the price to 50 for a humble Druid such as myself? I spent my young days in the wild forests of this world, breathing life into it wherever I could, but I never ask for money for my services, so I have very little to spare now. I could assist you in some way though. If you have any sick animals or dying plants, I could attempt to heal them of their ailments." (OoC: If I can't get on within 24 hours again, Pretzel can control my character.)
Palathadric Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) (OoC: If I can't get on within 24 hours again, Pretzel can control my character.) Sylph falls unconscious allowing Pretzel to steal in front of him and purchase the scroll. "5 gold for this piece of metal! This is very sturdy. Anywhere in Eubric they'll offer 25 for it." I sigh. "Any o' you guys buyin' that diamond? If not, maybe you could do me a loan towards it?" "Let me see how the purchases go. If I have gold, I'll loan you some." He turns to Dreyrugr. "I got the impression you were looking at becoming an assassin, and I'd rather not kill most'a my humanoid opponents anyways. You interested in that armour?" He glances around the rest of the party. "Any o' you guys buyin' that diamond? If not, maybe you could do me a loan towards it?" "Why do you want that armour? Yours is probably just as good." I shrug. Edited July 5, 2013 by Palathadric

Myrddyn Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 "Why do you want that armour? Yours is probably just as good." I shrug. "I guess. I kind'a jumped at the chance to get a bit more income, but it wouldn't really do me much good anyway. Bet there's plenty of assassins back in the hall who'd pay good money for it, though."
Dannylonglegs Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Sylph falls unconscious allowing Pretzel to steal in front of him and purchase the scroll. No, wait, he doesn't. (OoC: That's why I said 24 hours and not 6. ) Sorry, wrong thread! Caught!
Myrddyn Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 "Bleedin' heck, guys." Erik mutters. "Just buy the damn thing and argue about it later." He pushes past Sylph and Pretzel and slides the 2 claws, 5 gold and the flash bomb across the counter. "These for that scroll, please, miss." Holding it up, he turns to the healers. "Now, gentlemen. Know what they say about diamonds? They're everyones best friend. You can have the silly bit of paper if you get me the pretty rock." He turns back to Shelby. "The claws came off some giant crustacean me an' the monk battled in a vault. Called itself 'the Death Progg'." I don't think anyone's purchased the scroll yet. If I'm wrong about that, I'll edit this.

If I'm wrong about that, I'll edit this. "Do you know what diamonds are?" Questioned Sylph, annoyed, but calm. "They're dead animals and plants compressed over millions of years in extreme pressure and heat. One day those claws you handed over, and your body in the ground, will rot and decay and become soil which will grow plants that will die and fall beneath the earth in layers of life and death and form rock, which may one day form coal, which may one day experience the proper pressure necessary to transform that rock into a shiny near-see-through rock like the one you're ogeling right now... But I have my doubts man-kind will see that rock." Sylph turned to the woman. "Could I have the daimond for 50 gold, please? My associate stated that he'd give me what I truely want if I'd buy him the daimond. I don't see why he couldn't simply buy it himself though."
Vash the Stampede Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 He turns to Dreyrugr. "I got the impression you were looking at becoming an assassin, and I'd rather not kill most'a my humanoid opponents anyways. You interested in that armour?" "Yes that armour would be something I'd be interested in. About as defensive as what I'm wearing however a bit lighter that I could wear it suiting other fighting styles, and it seems to have some magic about it as well." Dreyrugr turns to his companions, "If any of you have some gold to spare after you're done with your own purchases would you lone me some gold for that armour?"

Palathadric Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I fork over 70 gold and take the Diamond. Sorry, guys, have not been online for a while. Pie, the inventory have got some issues. I have to look over them though and see. But I have my doubts man-kind will see that rock." "You're wrong about one thing. Only plants form coal. Animals do not. Furthermore, there is no real way of knowing much about that process unless you've seen it work and only if you are millions of years old is that possible." I shrug disinterested. "May I have the scroll, Erik," I say shortly, but firmly, holding out the diamond.
Myrddyn Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 "Of course, Sir." Erik hands Pretzel the scroll, and takes the diamond.
Palathadric Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Dreyrugr should have the Dragonbrand Shield and I should have the Impervious Shield. "I actually have a very interesting artifact here. It's a shield with a ruby imbued into it. Surely that should fetch a fair sum. Shield I'd value at fifty gold. However, it costs fifty gold to imbue the ruby and then of course, the ruby itself costs. "However, I'm thinking of keeping it, just thought if you're interested and can give a good price, then... "By the way, have you seen something like this before?" I hold up my Magnifying Glass. "I'm sure you down here could find it useful considering the intricate work you do in the mines, having to separate small gems from dirt and stones, and suchlike. What do you say? How much would you offer for it?" "Of course, Sir." Erik hands Pretzel the scroll, and takes the diamond. "May the powers of light in this Diamond strengthen you in the fight, lad!"
Myrddyn Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I'm not sure where I got 20 extra gold from. "Thanks, sir." Erik makes his way to Dreyrugr. "You can borrow my money, too. I know I've got at least one coin left over. And if necessary, I'll sell my bones and lend you that. But maybe you could consider selling that robe and bow? Maybe those venoms, too?"
CMP Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 You had some leftover from selling your stuff. "I actually have a very interesting artifact here. It's a shield with a ruby imbued into it. Surely that should fetch a fair sum. Shield I'd value at fifty gold. However, it costs fifty gold to imbue the ruby and then of course, the ruby itself costs. "I'm sure you down here could find it useful considering the intricate work you do in the mines, having to separate small gems from dirt and stones, and suchlike. What do you say? How much would you offer for it?" "Ahh, that's a lovely shield! I'll give you ninety gold for it, fifteen for the glass."
Palathadric Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 "Do any of you fellows want my shovel or my Soma? If not, I'll probably sell them off. How much for each of them, may I ask? I am not certain whether I'd be willing to part from this shield for only ninety gold. The ruby itself is worth 100 in many places." "We also have these two gold bars, to sell. How much for them?"
Myrddyn Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I sold the two claws for 30 each and the bomb for 10 = 70, plus 5 gold. The scroll was 75 gold. "A shovel could be handy, but I don't particularly want it. I've got no use for the soma."
CMP Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 "We also have these two gold bars, to sell. How much for them?" "Ooh, shiny. Fifty gold apiece." I sold the two claws for 30 each and the bomb for 10 = 70, plus 5 gold. The scroll was 75 gold. "A shovel could be handy, but I don't particularly want it. I've got no use for the soma." Oh, thought the gold was a typo and you meant to sell the bones. I'll fix it in a bit.
Palathadric Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 "Ooh, shiny. Fifty gold apiece." I nod. "That seems about right." I hand over the two gold bars for 50 gold a piece. "How much for this Shovel or this Soma?" CMP, do you mind typing this 100 gold at the end of my inventory list, so I don't forget that it's team property. Thanks!
Palathadric Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 "Do any of you fellows want this Magnifying Glass either? If any of you need a loan for gold, I'll give you some money."
Dannylonglegs Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 "You're wrong about one thing. Only plants form coal. Animals do not. Furthermore, there is no real way of knowing much about that process unless you've seen it work and only if you are millions of years old is that possible." I shrug disinterested. "May I have the scroll, Erik," I say shortly, but firmly, holding out the diamond. "No, no. Animals break down into coal too." Stated Sylph knowingly, equally disinterested. He stood away from the group, waiting for the people to finish their transactions.
Vash the Stampede Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 "But maybe you could consider selling that robe and bow? Maybe those venoms, too?" "It would be a good time to get rid of these venoms but I recommend you lie down, I already gave the robe to Sylph, it's in his bag over there so you're seeing things." Wink, wink, nudge, nudge to QM, you duplicated the robe of the magi, although I'm fine to roll with that. "I have four bones, they might seem worthless but you could probably make a puppet or such out of it to put them to good use. I also have these three venoms. Theres also this bow. I don't know how to use it but it doesn't seem particularly bad for a bow. How much for those?"
