He possesses a weapon called the Harvester that can steal a person's senses...including their common sense, which leaves the individual in the Stealer's thrall. He's 'recruiting' from the Wolfgang to build his own army, eventually planning to enthrall everyone in Eubric--and I have to admit, he has a good chance, if we can't stop him. Not to mention he basically admitted his organization is responsible for the kidnapping of four other Watchmen several months back, and an assault on a group of Heroes, including Mr. Arnulf, Master Em, and Miss Alderflask. Lieutenant...this is a serious threat, but we have an opening here. A small one, to take this man down now before he can amass any more power. We need backup, and we need to move on this. Our options are growing shorter by the second, and I would need Patricia's clearance before I go and move any substantial amount of men. Of course, she's deeper in last night's mess then any of us... "Wait... purple?" Lilith silently acknowledges Karie's request by practically pelting her with an envelope and stationary, motioning to the ink quill on her desk before digging through her files. She sifts through about two month's worth of files before discovering the report she was looking for. She reads through it hastily, a spark of determination lighting up in her eyes as she read through it. She pulls out something very familiar to Arthur - Z-Mail parchments. The very ones he sent to the Town Watch during the Foundation Day ball, it seems, his writing on the front of them. She removes her quill from its bottle and begins scrawling on the back of the Z-Mail. "Speaking of parchment... Patricia gave these to me, Private Regulus. Sorry if you want them back." She quickly writes 4 terse letters, sending all of them to their recipients with a muttering of "I got Z-Mail." Apparently, she didn't appreciate Valentine Ziegfried's marketing phrase. They vanish in a puff of pink ether, warping into the hands of those who wer eintended to read them "I focused on studying communication," she quickly explains. "Written methods included. Can't hurt, and it might've just saved a whole lot of people in Eubric." She draws a deep breath, composing herself, before continuing. "Now. You 5 are best versed in this Stealer's operations, it would seem - and as you could probably guess, your assistance is still needed. Three of the letters I just sent are to the current dispatched patrols around Eubric. They should all be looking for a man of The Stealer's description, and whatever followers he may have "acquired" The fourth is a bit more pivotal, in this case. Due to the high risk, we have only one of our own lurking in the Wolfgang's company at the moment. I'm afraid he is a no-ranker, though... he works the occasional grave yard shift. However, a little under a month ago, he reported a rumor of a "purple-clad man ambushing a small group of Wolfgang... and them seemingly just walking off with him, on their accord." Those Wolfgang members were never seen again, apparently. Sound similar to our Stealer's modus operandi? I instructed him to rendezvous with you at the Albatross Inn - he may be able to fill you in on one of the many unknowns in this equation. The place is situated in one of the cleaner parts of Eubric near the foot of Sungold hill. Any knowledge you can get from him will help you track our culprit down. I'td probably be for the best if you just stayed the night there - good night's sleep in an actual bed instead of a cot will probably make your lives a bit easier." Lilith clears her throat before continuing. "Now, one last thing before you set off for the inn. I can give you one half of your reward - a Grating Stone or a full level of experience (applied to you instantly) - right now. Take your pick of which one, and when this Stealer business is said and done, you can claim the other half of your reward. Sound fair?" Which half of the reward will the party choose? She pulls out a drawer and removes a oak case, flipping it open and removing a glass green bottle. The party notices the words "Imported from Luosh" engraved onto the side. She shakes the bottle a bit before she turns to address the heroes. "Apparently they can liquify those Level-Up mushrooms, or something." she shrugs. "Either way, what works, works. May want to hold your breath for a second though, I heard this stuff smells and tastes ghastly." The lieutenant sprays the party, a green cloud of gas and spores settling over them. They cough as they're slammed by a strong scent, the spores tasting and smelling as foul as the watch woman said... but one the cloud of spores dissipates, the party feels stronger. Whether it was from the properties of the spores themselves, or just braving that god-awful scent... Who knows? Thought looking for someone under the same banner would be easier. Now then, time to depart, heroes. Heroica would do well to continue its good impressions on the Watch from last night." With that parting remark, the party exits the office and walk out the Town Watch building. The rest of the party reunites with Karie and Em, beginning their evening stroll through Eubric. They walk around the perimeter of sungold hill for a little bit before discovering the Albatross inn, a two story building of maple and oak. The party throws the door open and walks inside, stepping into a small anteroom... A fumbling clerk stares off into space, startling back into reality as he hears footsteps. He straightens his glasses, trying to be more professional then he really was. "Eh heh heh... So sorry for that lapse there, fellows. I'm Clark, and welcome to the Albatross Inn. How may I help you?"
