TrumpetKing Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I think this is a nice study, but I also think you should have looked at ALL of the pairings. And I probably wouldn't have counted figures from the Series 11 list yet, solely because we haven't had confirmation via pictures that the list is actually going to happen. I don't know if other people are skeptical of the list, but I am, and it might have been better to add these in when we receive official confirmation. But that's just my two cents. Great list otherwise. Quote
JeagerEX Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) Here it's what I got, please someone tells me if I missed someone. -GZ- Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Female Musketeer sounds... strange. About the first list, I think that S11 Female Robot belongs only to S6 Clockwork Robot (look at the design), and S1 robot has S8 enemy as only pair. Quote
Yooha Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Female Musketeer sounds... strange. I guess he was joking. I'm waiting for an evil female ice fisherman. Quote
Dorayaki Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 (edited) Not all minifigures need a counterpart I think (Plumber Villainess???). It's more important if the minifigures can be popular and much different from its predecessor, not just a clone with same pieces and different coloring. For example, a Zoo Chief instead of a male Zookeeper would be more clear, unless you just want to give the Zookeeper a different mini animal and it works. Others like Mrs Claus can't work much since she herself isn't notable enough or more than the Holiday Elf. My ideas: Series 1 Cheerleader - Cheer Guy : cheerleaders need some guys to work with. So for the red rival? Cowboy - Shepherd. What about the licensed one? Ninja - Ninja Girl: for those who wanted a heroine in Ninjago series / Japanese Princess: the princess should be diffrent from the Kimono Girl who doesn't come from Japanese royalty. However, there are already four members in Japanese line and these ideas wouldn't appear in a short time. Tribal Hunter - Tribal Princess Zombie - Ghost Lady, maybe a new long hair that covers one eye and looks like Sadako from Japanese novels. Series 3 Baseball Player - Catcher, Coach, Softball Girl, Umpire Race Car Driver - Race Queen, Driving Lady Series 4 Artist - Model Ice Skater - Ice-skating Man, a dancing partner for ladies. Kimono Girl - Kabuki Actor, but same as Ninja said. Punk Rocker - Keytar Player Sailor - Sailor Skirt Girl, maybe a Japanese student or another ship member. Series 5 Boxer - Boxing Girl Evil Dwarf - Villainess Dwarf: female dwarf are really rare in both license and original Lego themes. Ice Fisherman - Icelandic Girl Royal Guard - Royal Empress : the modern type empress of England. Series 6 Butcher - Chef Flamenco Dancer - Flamenco Guy, like the Ice-skating Man one. Lady Liberty - Mona Lisa, Vénus de Milo Series 7 Bride - Groom: don't make him look like the the Waiter or Gangster. A white tuxedo in the same style with Bride's would be better. Computer Programmer - Hacker Evil Knight - Evil Princess Grandma Visitor - Big Bad Wolf: but TLG would probably just call one wolf tribe member from the Chima story. Same for seven kids and three pigs. Jungle Boy - Jungle Girl: make her fresh and agile, or she'd be something like Cavewoman. Series 8 Businessman - Office Lady, Boss, Secretary Thespian - Soprano Series 9 Judge - Lawyer, Prosecutor Pirate Captain -Pirate Villianess, perhaps based on Anne Bonny and reused the Fortune Teller's hairpiece. Policeman - Policewoman Roman Emperor - Roman Princess, another love rival with Pharaoh and Egyptian Queen. Waiter - Hotel Maid, a traditional maid version diffrent from the American Waitress in series 11. Series 10 Warrior Woman - other historical female worriors based on Jehanne de Montfort or Hua Mulan. Paintball Player - Paintball Rival Girl: but maybe only if this career is popular enough among Lego fans. Mr. Gold - Ms. Silver : if CMF makes it to series 20, it's very likely to happen again. Toy Soldier - if using Nutcracker as its reference, other welcome choices are Sugarplum Fairy, Vivandière and Clara. Series 11 Jazz Musician - Saxophone, Trumplet, Drum Player Edited July 22, 2013 by Dorayaki Quote
Yooha Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 My ideas: ... Series 5 Evil Dwarf - Villainess Dwarf: female dwarf are really rare in both license and original Lego themes. I have never heard of a female dwarf, not even in LEGO, but in any other sources - but I guess they must exist. Of the other ideas: The umpire (which was an unknown word, it's referee to me) is a great idea with a striped torso and maybe those bulky black armor(?) for basball referees. Modern type empress of England, what's that? They have a queen, is that she? Mona Lisa: A painting would be difficult, her clothes alone won't give her away I fear. And Vénus de milo without arms? I prefer the David Statue with a printed leaf "there" to avoid unfit-for-children issues. :) Groom with two golden rings (same as the One ring) Quote

I mean Queen in that case. I don't know if female dwarf exists, like Entwives from LOTR. But since female dwarves are not in common folktales, thier chance to be in this series is little. For example, in Japanese history and folktales, female samurais are much less known and heard than female ninjas. Only modern original works can make such a character, like Nya. If TLG really make a Samurai Woman, she would be more like a cosplayer. I wanted to suggest some statue or famous artworks, but most suggestions are not available as you think. Maybe Lady Liberty is the only symbolic statue that can be a minifigure. JeagerEX Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) Series 11 Jazz Musician - Saxophone, Trumplet, Drum Player The Jazz Musician is actually called a "Saxophone Player", but we missing a Trumpet and Drum Player. Freddy Bricker Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I really like some of these ideas, others seem to be adding the word female in front, and nothing else. Anyway I decided to make my own list and here it is! Series 1: Magician - Magician's assistant Zombie - Voodoo Doctor Nurse - Sick patient (with a blue face showing he's about to hurl) Tribal Hunter - Rival tribal warrior (different than s.10 tomahawk warrior) Spaceman - Blacktron space trooper Cowboy - Sherriff Series 2: Maraca man - Mariachi musician Witch - Country girl, Tinman, and Lion suit guy (with scared expression) Quote
